Your routine was as follows: wake up, use the bathroom, go for a run, shower, eat breakfast, hang out, jog, eat dinner, listen to music, go to bed. Those ten things were a daily constant in your life.
Right now, you were up to number nine; you sat on your belly with your headphones blasting as you flipped through the pages of Tigerbeat. Your foot bobbed to the beat of the song before you were rudely interrupted by your cousin, Lucas. Your face scrunched up at how Lucas could be heard so clearly through the music.
“Lucas, wha—why are you so loud?” Y/N ripped the headphones off your ears. You looked at the door, but no one came in. You got up and walked to the door, no one. You walked to their rooms, no one.
“What the hell?” You whispered; shaking your head, plopping back onto the bed to put back your headphones when you heard the voice again. You removed it twice only realizing the second time the voice came from the headphones.
Y/N gasped as nerves ripped through her body. How was this possible? Slowly, you put them back on and answered.
“Hello?”
“Y/N!” Lucas exclaimed. “We need your help!”
“We? Help? Lucas how ―”
“No time to explain, you need to drive over to this exact location.”
“Drive? I-I―your parents ar―how can I―”
“Y/N they keep a spare key behind the television set. Get in the care and switch the stations until you hear my voice, got it?” You were going to object when you heard a bestial roar in the background. “Hurry! It’s an emergency.”
You sat there for a few seconds in complete shock; you never snuck out in your entire life. Never! But your little cousins were in danger. You thought about what your Aunt and Uncle might think, you thought about how your Dad would react. But your little cousins were in danger! Lacing up your sneakers, you crept through the dark house, got the spare keys, and jumped in the station wagon. Slowly, you changed between the stations and listened closely to hear Lucas’ voice. Soon enough, he was yelling your name again.
“Y/N, Y/N!”
“Ok, I got it!”
“Took you long enough! Listen, Dustin is going to give you instructions on how to get here ok?”
Fingers curled gripping the wheel tightly as you let out a deep breath. “Ok.” You followed the instructions that Dustin told you, feeling a chill creep up your spine when the directions led you out of time and into the wooded areas.
“Ok, Y/N, I need you to listen,” Dustin spoke with a tone that made you feel uneasy. “As soon as you make it to the fork, turn off the headlights and make a left and just sit there.”
“Turn off the l―”
“I know, I know, just do it!” You closed your mouth and your eyes widened in disbelief as you found yourself approaching the fork and followed Dustin’s instructions.
Y/N sat in the dark car...waiting. Just waiting for something, a sign, next instructions. The silence became unbearable and the dark woods were starting to creep you out so you turned on the radio and boy did you regret it. A loud roar ripped through the air; you turned to see a...a… My God you didn’t even know what you were looking at but the things arm, or at least one of them, hit the glass window creating a crack. You tried to exit through the passenger side as the tentacle burst through the window and wrapped around your ankle, you let out a scream as you tried to wriggle yourself loose. And another scream was about to emit from your lips as soon as something wrapped tightly around your waist. “
Hey, I got you.”
You turned to see fierce hazel eyes laced with fear as they looked from you to the monster's tight grip on your ankle. Steve’s finger grabbed the cigarette lighter and burned the tentacle causing it to retreat as its owner screeched. “Come on!” Steve pulled you out of the car and helped you toward the shack where everyone was waiting.
Steve held Y/N tight in his arms giving everyone a menacing look for bringing her into this and now her being hurt. It was a look that was rarely shown or even given to the gang. He knew this was a bad plan.
“Wha―” You couldn’t even finish your sentence as your foot gave out and you were falling. Steve was right there to help you have a soft landing as Erica and Lucas moved beside you.
“Y/N, I am so, so sorry,” Lucas said. “El, can you help?”
A dark-haired girl around Lucas' age nodded and wrapped her hands around your ankle. You winced at the pressure but soon found yourself in disbelief that the pain and the bruises were all gone.
“Ho―Wha-what's going on?”
“We’ll explain later but right now we need to go before the gate closes!” Mike came out barking orders. “We need a distraction for us to get in the car. Someone needs to stay back and just distract that thing!”
“And how will we do that?” Will asked.
“We have a gun, just use that.”
“No, it makes no sense to waste bullets.” Jonathon piped up.
“We don’t waste it,” Nancy said, picking up the shotgun. “We use them to weaken it. We know it’s either going to follow us or it’s going to go back where they’re hiding. Either way, it’s going to be on the move and we can stop it.”
“Alright, but we need someone who is a good shot?” Mike looked around at the others, but Erica and Lucas turned to look at you.
“NO!”
“But you’re the only one that knows how to shoot!” Erica exclaimed.
“Yeah, Uncle Bud has been taking you to the gun range since you were our age,” Lucas said.
“But I―I can’t do this, not here by myself.”
Before Nancy could speak, Steve shot up. “I’ll stay with you.” Even though this, Robin and Erica couldn’t help but roll their eyes.
Nancy handed over the shotgun to Steve before everyone was making a quick plan. Steve could see Y/N’s withdrawn expression and felt his heart drop. When he wished to spend a night out with Y/N, he didn’t mean like this.
“Hey,” he whispered, pulling you out of your daze. “They want you to shoot from the back, so they can sneak, and then we are going to sneak out once the rounds are out.” You could hear what he was saying but you were still processing being attacked by a large, tentacle-ly monster. The huddled group broke out and looked at you, waiting for your move. Steve shyly handed you the shotgun and you let out a deep breath.
In a flurry, you walked to the back, Steve ripped a panel for you to shoot out of. Wide eyes looked up at the monster and you felt the breath escape you. You only heard the shots and the squeals and roars from the monster when you hit it. It felt like a disconnect from reality, even when Steve was pulling you out of the shack and into the car. The slam of the trunk of the station wagon was the only thing that pulled you into reality. The reckless fast driving caused Y/N and Steve, who sat in the trunk to pop around. Even through all of this, Steve could see the fear and confusion pouring from your eyes. Another roar was piercing through the sky and everyone looked out the window to see the thing retreat.
“The portal is near!” Dustin yelled and soon enough, you were following the group, dumbfounded, as they climbed up a hill. Steve was always nearby, concerned when you fell, what he deemed, too far behind. They were the last two to come up missing the boys and the dark-haired girl entered the gate which looked like a fiery pit on the side of the large boulder.
“ Whe-where’s Lucas?” Dark eyes searched around only seeing Jonathon, Nancy, Erica, and the redhead little girl.
“He wen―”
“HE WENT IN THERE?!” You shook your head no. “No, no, we have to go. We shouldn’t be here, we need adults, actual responsible adults.” Y/N sent a sorry to Jonathon and Nancy. “We need to call the police.”
“Trust us, they’re no help.” Erica scoffed.
“Y/N, I know everything is a bit shocking, but the boys ca―” But before Nancy could continue the walkie-talkie went off.
“WE FOUND THEIR NEST!” Dustin yelled. “WE DIDN’T KNOW AND THEY’RE AFTER US, THE―” A scream emitted from the device.
“What?! Dustin, what happened?” The redhead girl asked.
“Max, they got Lucas!” Max looked over to you, as did everyone.
Within seconds, you were sprinting towards the entrance of the portal before Steve and Jonathon intercepted you.
“LET ME GO!” Robin chose to comfort a visibly shaken Erica, as Nancy tried to talk to you.
“Y/N, you can―you can’t go Y/N, listen to me.” She pleaded as she watched the tears stream down your face.
Did they actually think that you were going to sit here while your little cousin was in danger? You refused to lose more people in your life, especially when you could prevent it. No one saw when Steve ran inside, they were all too preoccupied with trying to make sure Y/N wouldn’t do anything harmful. The gasping of air caused them all to look at the gate to see Dustin, El, Will, and Mike covered in soot and dried goo. It was Robin who noticed that her best friend was no longer around.
“Where did Steve go?” She perked up, but there was no room left to wonder as he appeared with a battered, half-conscious Lucas on his back.
“LUCAS!” Erica and Y/N yelled as they ran toward him.
Steve gently put him down as Erica and Y/N dropped to their knees to hold them. Their cries drowned out the stories of what happened in that place that led to your cousin’s close demise. With a heaving chest, Steve watched the whole scene before his eyes ended on you. Things went too far left tonight. He watched as the others consoled each other, Robin held Erica tightly, and Nancy and Jonathon had to pry you off of Lucas so El could use her powers to save him. Steve planted himself on the ground and laid back looking into the night sky. This definitely couldn't count as a first date.
A/N: I’ll do my best to update and I will be pulling from season 4.
Y/N entered the video store once more to rent another video and, as you hated to admit, to catch a glimpse of Steve.
When he wasn’t embarrassing himself in front of you, he was kind of cute. It also gave you something to do, nothing much ever happened in Hawkins, which is also another reason your dad agreed to let you go for the whole summer. So, a cute face could make up for it.
The bell atop the door rang out and much to your surprise, there was no one there. No customers, no workers, no Steve. Clutching your wallet, you decided to peruse around the store looking for any new titles.
As you read the words of each one, the sound of a slightly off-key rendition of Prince’s ‘Kiss’ began to grow louder, you turned to see Steve with a box piled up high of candy as he tried to reach the same notes. The corner of your lip tugged up due to how embarrassingly cute it was. Like a creep, you watched him from behind the stands as he danced and spun around until brown eyes landed on you.
“AHH!” A quick scream erupted from him as the box and its contents flew up in the air before landing on the floor creating a mess.
“I—” was all you said before you fell into a fit of laughter.
Steve wanted to be mad, really, he did! He wanted to tell you off but not when that adorable sound you made had his heart fluttering more or how beautiful your bobbing shoulders looked thanks to your off the shoulder top. Shoulders? Really, Steve? He thought to himself. How can someone have cute shoulders? He didn’t know, but somehow you did.
“Yeah, yeah, yeah. I’m pretty sure from your view it was very funny, finish laughing so you can help clean this mess you made.”
It was meant to be sarcastic, as he bent down to collect the things. But there you were, kneeling in front of him with wide brown eyes with tears threatening to spill from laughter. Clearing your throat, you apologized and bit back your smile as you helped him.
“You know...you know, I wasn’t serious. You don’t have to help me.” He said as the pair continued to put the candy back in the box.
“I know,” Y/N said, quickly looking at him then back to her previous actions.
“Ho-How are you Erica’s cousin? You’re so nice!” Steve exclaimed.
A chuckle fell from your plump lips and Steve smiled widely, knowing it was because of him.
“We get that...A LOT!”
They both began to laugh.
Steve cracked his knuckles unsure of what to say next, he was finally having a conversation with her without making a fool of himself. Well, a complete fool by earlier account.
“So, are you enjoying Hawkins so far?”
You looked up and nodded.
Damn, no response. He was about to open his mouth when she spoke.
“There’s not much to do unlike back home in Detroit, but you knew that already.” Y/N teased.
He let out an embarrassed laugh as he pushed the free strands out of his face.
“Sorry about that, Dustin told me when I asked who you were. I promise all I know is your name, your cousins, and your hometown. I don’t know anything crazy like your cat's name is Mittens.”
Y/N’s face scrunched up as her tone turned serious: “My cat’s name is Mittens!”
A stuttering Steve held his hands up, swearing he didn’t know before she fell into another fit of laughter.
“Oh my gosh, that was a joke? That was,” if he wasn’t already head over heels for this girl, this definitely would’ve done it.
Standing up, he stretched out his hand to help you. Accepting it, you found yourself just a few inches shorter than him, which wasn’t too bad. His brown eyes held a steady stare with yours before he glanced down to your hand.
“Well, since it is my job, I can also help you with that too.” He held out his hand and you placed the tape in his. Rounding the counter, he began to ring you up.
“ Raiders of the Lost Ark ?” He said. “Good choice.”
“Thanks,” you grinned. “I’ve always liked a little adventure.”
Steve looked up and man, were you perfect and the way the sun shone behind you made it even more obvious.
“Hey, I know there’s not much to do here, but there’s a carnival in town, if you’re not busy this weekend, we could go check it out. Don’t want you dying of boredom before the summer even begins.” He smiled and you couldn’t help but to too. You began nodding your head before you answered.
“Y/N?” The voice of your friend Nancy caused you to turn around.
“Hey, Nance, what are you doing here?”
“Just dropping off a video, hi Steve, how are you?”
“Good Nancy, you know you could just leave it in the dropbox, right?” He said.
“Yeah, I know,” Nancy trailed off looking between the two. “Did I—Am I interrupting something?”
Seeing Nancy reminded you that these two had dated, granted he wasn’t asking you on a date, but it just seemed wrong. Even with her blessing, plus you had other crazy things going on in your life, you didn’t need to add some boy in your mix.
“No, I was just leaving. Thanks, Steve.” You waved as you and Nancy left a defeated Steve. You had to remember why you wanted to come to Hawkins, nothing ever happens in Hawkins.
A/N: Makes sense why people are interested in this again. I’ll continue at the end of the month. I do have an incomplete chapter that I could upload as a filler until I watch S4. Haven’t decided if I wanted to follow the storyline or not, if you have suggestions, you can let me know.
Steve kneeled to stock the bottom shelf when his eyes fell to the whitest sneakers he ever seen.
“How do you get your sneakers so white?”
“I use bleach.”
The familiar feminine voice caused him to slowly gaze up to see Y/N’s smiling face. He shot up so fast that he knocked his equilibrium off, he was stumbling into you. As a natural reaction, you reached out and stabilized him.
“Oh, I’m sorry,” Steve apologized.
“It’s ok,” you gave him a short smile and returned to look at the movies. Running his hands through his hair, he leaned against the shelf as he put on his best impression forward.
“So, you switching movies?”
“Yeah,” you nodded as you continued moving along the aisle.
“Did you enjoy Back to the Future ?”
Y/N nodded in response.
Steve's eyes widened at his terrible conversation skills. High school him would’ve never imagined he’d be like this, especially not so soon.
“Hey, if you love Back to the Future you’ll love Teen Wolf .” He exclaimed.
“I’m not really into werewolves sorry.” You shook your head.
“Sorry about that, let’s get you something you like.” He awkwardly laughed. “Let’s get to know each other better, I’m Steve and you’re Erica and Lucas’ cousin?”
He waited for you to fill the blank but all he was met with was a “Yeah,”
“Okay,” he clapped his hand, he could try and work with that. “You’re from Detroit right?”
You eyed Steve suspiciously at him knowing this.
“You guys get movies before us. We have new movies in the back that haven’t been put out, would you like to see some? I can bring them out.” Steve said.
“Yeah, that would be nice.” Y/N nodded.
With a smile, Steve nodded and ran to the back. He shuffled through the box of tapes trying to find anything, ANYTHING that would impress you.
“Okay,” Steve walked out with tapes in hand. “I have The Breakfast Club , Mad Max , National Lampoon , and the Care Bears .”
His eyes looked up to see no one standing in the store. Well, there were people in the store, it just wasn’t you. He ran to check if the return bin was empty, it was! That gave him hope that you still needed to return the tape, which you only had four days left.

And what a long four days.
The last twenty-four hours were upon him and he sat dejected at the counter. The bell went off and his eyes glanced up to see Erica. His face instantly lit up looking past the little girl to hopefully see your cousin.
“She’s not here weirdo, you scared her away.” Erica told him and Robin bit back a laugh.
“Are you serious?!” He asked before hitting his head on the counter.
“Yeah, you can’t just tell strangers their personal information and think it’s ok.” Erica reminded him before handing Robin the tape.
Brown eyes searched through windows to see if you were out there.
“She’s at the mall with Nancy.”
“Nancy!” Steve exclaimed.
“Yeah they’re friends.” Erica replied.
“No, no, no, no, no!” Steve grabbed the little girl’s shoulder. “No, Nancy is going to tell her we dated and you guys do that whole girl code.” He groaned.
Shaking free from his grip, Erica quipped: “Don’t blame Nancy for your terrible flirting.”
Steve moaned because it was true.

Nancy and Y/N made their way through the food court.
“I’m really glad you could come during the summer, we can do more.”
Nancy dumped her trash. You did the same, before following her. Y/N’s eyes flitted to one of the counters ‘Scoops Ahoy’ and her mind reverted to something her cousin had told her about the weird boy from the video store.
“Hey, Nancy, do you know a guy named Steve who works at the video store?” Nancy turned to look at her friend.
“Yeah, I do. We actually used to date.”
“Oh,” you nodded at the new information.
“Oh no, Y/N, don’t let that stop you.”
But, you shook your head at her statement.
“No, no, it’s not like that. I mean, he is cute, it’s just he’s awkward...very weird.”
Nancy couldn’t help but chuckle at your description.
“Steve? He was known as ‘The King’ in high school. I’d never thought I’d hear him called awkward or weird.” Nancy said.
“Oh, he was one of those.” Y/N nodded. “Peaked in high school?”
Nancy nodded.
The two continued walking, but Nancy couldn’t help but feel a bit sorry for Steve. Once he got over his insecurities, Steve was honestly a great guy. Not to mention how he looked out for the kids and was always willing to fight when things got strange. So far, there hadn’t been any occurrences and it was looking like a good summer. It’s been years since Steve dated someone and he had matured exponentially. Nancy was cordial with Steve, but Y/N was her friend and she would never want to hurt you.
“Hey, Y/N,” Nancy randomly said. “Steve and I weren’t really good together, but he’s changed. He’s really caring and funny and nice. I know you said it’s not like that but, giving him a chance won’t hurt.”
Tumblr really deleted this story and I had to reupload it. Writing really helps me stay relaxed, especially during school. So I decided to write one story a month to just keep me calm/sane.
Steve Harrington x Reader
“You know when I signed up for this job I expected to just, you know.” Steve threw his hands up. “Smile, speak to girls, do nothing, not keep greasy, hormonal pre-teens from getting grabby with this!”
He hit the life-size cut out of Kelly Le Brok from Weird Science . Robin laughed at her best friend and his hapless dilemma.
“You act like you’re the only one!” She exclaimed. Although it took some time getting used to, finding someone who could relate to his girl problems did help him get through this dry love spell. It was also nice to have someone keep him in reality from time to time. “Dingus?”
Robin pointed to a boy who was feeling up the cardboard’s leg. He rolled his eyes in annoyance.
“It’s not real, please jus-just stop it!” He shouted and the boy went running.
Steve dragged his feet to the counter and placed his chin on his fist. “This is going to be the most boring summer ever.” He mumbled.
The bell atop the door rang out signaling there was an incoming customer. Robin poked Steve and he turned around.
A/N: Here’s a Halloween-themed fic I did on my dead blog: @sithlordintraining
Kylo x Reader
Summary: Everyday Kylo thanked God for sending you to him. You were something different, something fresh. Like now, as you two walked in the autumn breeze back to your apartment, your eyes were glued on him lovingly while everyone else stared at you: ‘The most beautiful being God himself created.’
Everyday Kylo thanked God for sending you to him. You were something different, something fresh. He stills remember the first time you guys met.
It was at one of the Halloween parties in the city that were overpriced and overpacked. Kylo was perched on the wall in his black jeans, leather jacket, and ‘Darth FUCKING Vader’ tee, with his Vader motorcycle helmet in hand. His free hand raked through his voluminous raven strands as his dark eyes scanned the crowd. He was dragged out here by his cousin Rey and her friends. Rey begged him to ‘get out and have fun. Tiffany sucked anyway.’ It’s been almost a year, seven months thirty-two days, seven ho-but who’s counting? He shook off the thought of his ex and continued to scan the crowd.
It wasn’t hard for Kylo to get girls, that was no problem, there was no doubt he was the hottest man in here. But he just wanted a connection, someone to talk to. He heard his friend, Phasma’s voice echo in his head “Don’t fall so hard, so soon, head first.” He chuckled at that. But of course, that thought when out the window when he caught your (y/e/c) eyes intensely staring at him.
His dark eyes cast over your rather revealing red dress, very devilish. You sent him a smirk, which gave him the confidence to push himself off the wall. Of course, it wasn’t easy to get to you. It seemed like there was every obstacle was in his way: the crowd, the dancers, waiters, the women and men throwing themselves at you. But, it was worth it when he finally made it. He thought you were so cute with your little devil horns. You were far from your costume and he spent the whole night with you.
Midnight was quickly approaching and there was no denying a connection or attraction that you two felt towards each other. So Kylo wasn’t that surprised when he woke up with you cuddled on top of him sleeping peacefully. You were too good to let go and he didn’t know how, but he convinced you that there was something more and to go on a first date.

Trying to raise at least $30,000 for lawyer to get guaranteed appeal release #BLM… Lakeith Smith needs your support for #JusticeForLakeithSm
A few months ago I reblogged a post sharing Jazzy’s gofundme, a girl who was poisoned by her roommate, noting that she only had about half her goal despite the fund being up for several years. I saw a lot of people reblog that version; Just a month or so later when I checked her fund again it had been reached!! And tons of people still reblog it.
I think when people are just scrolling and they come across these posts they don’t check immediately and forget about it, seeing all the notes and assuming the fund is doing well- I think more people need this visualized to realize this person REALLY needs help.
We can’t let Lakeith continue to be punished in this repulsive system. Please make sure him and his fund get the attention Jazzy does and let’s do everything we can to get him to the goal!! We have to reunite him with his family by any means possible.
As of today ( Saturday, August 8th, 2020 ) Lakeith is $12,061 from his goal!!
As of today (Sunday 28th March 2021) Lakeith has surpassed his goal by over $3,000!
This money was just for the lawyer to appeal; you can still help by signing the petition on change.org (just don’t donate once you do) – it hasn’t hit the 1,000,000 signature goal yet! Please sign and help him get his justice!
