I love how The Other Bennet Sister was constantly showing Mary and Tom be just bad at things.

The way they were counting their steps while dancing. The stumbling over each other's words. Her inability to paint. His awful drawings.

I adore them. Just the absolute cringefail couple of my dreams.

SPOILERS but there's something so funny about Tom Hayward saying he chose to "graciously step aside" so Mary could marry the wealthier Mr Ryder when, in fact, he acted like a miserable, sulking wet cat the entire walk down the mountain.

Sorry to add to this but Mr. Hayward is lying because he clearly fell in love with her when he first saw her with the children. They played Graces while Mary watched and when the hoop fell near her was the first time he touched her (finger brushed when he took the hoop from her.)

The haberdashers scene was before the one where Mary was playing Graces on her own. The way he looks in the window at her. 😍
