About Wywick |  Hogwarts High Wywick was founded as a collegiate university in 1553.  Towards the end  of Edward VI’s reign, wizards feared that Mary Tudor would take the  throne and that higher learning would become unavailable or even  dangerous for magical people.   The university, along with the town  of Wywick, sits on the banks of the River Wy in England. Wywick’s exact   location is unknown, but muggles may occasionally pass through the   picturesque town.

Meanwhile, many of Riddle's followers have fled the Wizarding United Kingdom and are on the loose across Magical Europe and even in the muggle world. Some seek to continue the work their Dark Lord began, while others merely wish to avoid the repercussions of their actions.
