It had been quite the ordeal when Charlie and Gen had shown up a couple of hours ago to the TFM (as Gen had affectionately abbreved the Monstrosity years ago). She'd nearly had to keep the dude from fainting at the sight of the ten-acre plot of land their ridiculous estate sat on. Especially after she mentioned that they'd sold off half of the acreage years back in order to pay for college for all the kids, so she actually had lived with about twice as much space as this growing up.
Of course, hadn't helped either that Gen had kept Charlie up for the entire ten hour flight, drilling him on the in and outs of her entire family and her own life from birth to now so that when everyone started asking supes awks questions of him, he'd at least be able to make something up if she hadn't already told him. So when they'd arrived to only her mother home, well, things had been a bit of a trainwreck. Luckily for him, though, Charlie had managed to give himself an out of checking in on the major advertising campaign they'd both been working on and had scuttled off to use one of Dad's old offices.
But Gen... Gen was on vacation time, bitches. Like hell she was gonna do any work while she was here. #AsIf!! She was here to blast Top 40 hits at the top volume of her state-of-the-art speakers would allow, instagramming her outfits for the week, and tweeting everything that had happened on the entire plane ride over here.
She had just gotten into the groove of her latest Piano Tiles run, too, when someone came and turned off her music. Instantly the girl's muscles tightened, ready to unleash a string of hashtagged obscenities and complaints at whoever had dared disturb her alone time.
But the voice that followed the quieting of her music was one of the few that could calm any roaring storm-o-feels inside of Gen, instead causing her to slowly turn and fix Drew with a stare and a raised eyebrow.
"Holy crap, bitchslap me all over my whole entire face, who are you, big strapping man, and what have you done with my idiot big brother?!" Gen cried out, grinning from ear to ear before climbing over her bed and practically launching herself at Drew, wrapping him into a tight hug. "Oh! Oh! Reunion selfie!" She continued, pulling up instagram and tugging Drew close until he was in-frame, quickly snapping a photo before he could bolt, per usual. "First two home! #TateFamilyReunion #thisguy #Xmas #siblove #blessed"
Okay, so maybe there were a few good points to coming home for Christmas. Mainly things like this. So what if they were fully fledged (supposedly) functioning adults now? Like hell Gen wasn't gonna still tackle every one of them to the ground with her love and affection.
"Omg, have you been home this entire time and u didn't even come save me from Mom?! Can you say #welcomeoverload?! I totes dunno what's up with her this year, but she's way worse than ever before." Gen pulled a grimace, hands fluttering about as she talked, helping the diamond ring she was still getting used to wearing sparkle in the afternoon sun coming through her windows. "I'm just hoping she calms the eff down soon or else Char-Char is gonna get totes the wrong impression of all of us and that'd be a full-blown disaster. Speaking of, plz tell me that rhymes-with-witch, Serena isn't coming. I rlly don't want to resort to murder-by-cookie this year."
