Hey guys, Alyx here. It’s been a while since I have even thought to use this blog. I may perhaps delete this blog after all. I am using the blog above as a personal blog, and maybeeverafter.tumblr.com as a not-so-personal personal blog. You will be able to find me there. It was in my moments of quiet desperation that I realized that I needed to be loved so deeply that all my broken bits would crack so hard they'd form back together.

You were the kind of love that made me feel; you made me bitter and angry. You were the kind of love that made my blood rush and my temper explode. You made me feel scared of a life without you. You incited a passion about me I had never felt before.

He is the kind of love that made me think; he makes me feel calm and secure.  He’s the kind of love that made my mind slow down and my heart calm. He makes me rethink past loves. He makes me feel like a queen. I’ve incited a passion in him that he’s never known before.

If I had to choose between the two. It’d be you, over and over again. I’d choose to feel every bad, exhilarating, and incomprehensible emotion over settling with being content any day.

Questions

I question why the grass is green, why birds sing, and why waves crash against the shore.

I question why the sky is blue, why hearts beat, and why rain pours.

I question why my hair is brown, why people are mean, and why I can’t forget you.

I question my sanity, why the earth spins round, and why you’re still here.

I question the universe in its entirety, why I’m alive, and why I’m not living with you.

Calm

I am not a calm person. I am hit with a train of anger, a fire that fuels my passions.

I am not a clam person. I drown in waves of sadness, earthquakes that rock my entire mind.

I am not a calm person. I shine in the warmth of joy, a sun that illuminates my compassion.

I am not a calm person. I feel things through and through, from head to toe.

I am not a calm person. I will make my wrath known, and my tears of sorrow heard.

I am not a calm person. You will hear my praises, and you will see the flames in my soul.

I am not a calm person. I feel rushes of emotions, and I am not bound by the word “calm”

Natural Disaster

Loving me will turn your world into an icy storm. It will beat against the portside of your ship like a hurricane that never ceases.

Loving me will make your temper burn. It will scald you to the bone like a fire with no end.

Loving me will cause your very being to erupt. Your soul will tremble as the earthquake of my existence shakes you to the core.

Loving me is like the eye of a storm. It tosses you around in a wild fury one minute, and steadies your heart the next.

Loving me will ignite a spark in your soul. It fuels a fiery passion that you cannot extinguish.

Loving me will destroy the confines of your mind. It obliterates everything you thought you knew.

Loving me will turn your life into a natural disaster, but oh how you will live.

Battlefield

A woman’s body is a battlefield; her whereabouts are always up for debate. There is always a war on the horse she rides and the home in her stomach. Why does it matter how large her hills are, and how deep her valleys. Why does it matter not, the size of her heart, but the size of her breast?

For the most part, it’s just me publishing for myself, but it will be available if someone wants to buy it!

I am halfway done with completing my book! I have everything set up to self publish, I just have to write 50 or so more poems. I'm hoping I can be completed by the end of April!
