A portrait of a family home.

I found this photo of my father and grandfather and you can just see the tension between the two. My dad always said his proudest moment was knocking his father out and this statement coming from a well established anesthesiologist who had so much more to celebrate than just that.

His sorrow and pain carried him through life and cursed him as an adult. As I get older I see so many others that carry that pain with them day to day, year to year. Losing my father to that pain last Novemeber and now my best friend this November has been a rough one.
