Playing WoD games is crazy because if you start off with Vampire or Hunter, for the most part it’s like “yeah this semi dystopian underworld filled with kickass monsters and political that’s just under our noses is really cool, I’m gonna go do DMT with this crackhead who’s right about everything”

If you start off on mage (I don’t know why you would) it’s “the world is your oyster, just watch out for the Illuminati”

Starting off on Werewolf is “what do you mean these burgers are stuffed with evil and are products of the evil mega corporation trying to increase global despair and nihilism to bring forth the end times?”

Then changeling is just “hey man, you wanna huff glue with this gnome lookin fuck?”

Truly a whiplash of experiences.

The good thing about vtm is that the Masquerade makes everything feel natural. I can go to a club and be the only one who knows that I am a vampire, and it feels right that no one else does. I am not someone who really does any LARP, but in those moments, when I go out as a Tremere Regent, it feels like carrying a secret while watching all the tasty blood bags around me.

- codependent relationship between childe and sire

- malkavian x malkavian romance

- proving yourself as a ghoul to be gifted with the embrace

- toreadors with no artistic talent or interest

- rival childes competing for their sire’s attention who end up having a stronger bond with each other when faced with betrayal by the sire

- blood bonded to keep one loyal to another

- being embraced for a “higher purpose”

- fledgling questioning everything they know and the sire being like “we don’t have time for all that”

- kindred being mistaken for another clan by pretty much everyone

- sheriff who seems to find the coterie at the worst times

- the primogen who is a bit TOO in invested in what the coterie are doing, suspiciously so

- a prince who is spiralling

- kindred being haunted by the first mortal they accidentally killed whilst trying to sate their hunger

- the coterie member who final death that haunts the coterie and the rest of the story
