AHHHHHHH
you learn something new everyday. unless you're a historian. then you learn something old
im all here for the deep symbolism and meaning in katniss and peeta finding each other and choosing each other over and over again and i could talk about how narratively important their love is until the cows come home but the more times i re-read the hunger games series the more im just like. damn. she was so obsessed with him.
baby girl had one insane interaction with this boy five years ago and she never stopped thinking about it. she stared at his face so long and so intensely that she started wondering about the logistics of his eyelash length. he told the whole world on national television that they got fake married and real pregnant and she thought it was sexy. girl was crazy in love and she's so real for that.
Katniss, whose whole life became public, constantly being recorded and analyzed, tries to gatekeep as much information as she can.
Haymitch, whose story got changed, manipulated without him knowing, tries to tell us as much of the truth as he can.
platonically staring at his eyelashes, as one does. catching fire is fun and i love katniss very much
bonus:
When you are posting on tumblr, do not add your commentary to the text of the post, in case others disagree with you and the original poster may come and say to you, "Make your own post," and then you will be in disgrace. But when you post, add your commentary to the tags, so that when the original poster sees them, they may say to you, ‘Friend, do not hide this in the tags'; then you will be honored in the presence of all who blog with you.
they just casually dropped the best episode of asoiaf of the last 10 years on a random friday night. in case anyone's interested.

stranger things finale was not “good” and in many ways not “satisfying” for many of the beloved “characters” . however after watching the entirety of the 15th season of supernatural live and witnessing what was perhaps the worst anyone’s ever done it (ending a tv show) i think that most of stranger things ended in a way that 1. made sense for its characters in the established season up to that point 2. felt very heartfelt despite the bad bad writing. i am so beyond unbothered by will’s 2 second epilogue boyfriend in fact i think it’s awesome he got over his straight crush. the worst part by far was how they ended el’s story it all feels very hollow. and kali. however again it could be worse there could have been a vampire juggalo barn incident and a rusty nail and — well there were some party city wigs — and two discrete versions of carry on wayward son — well the use of purple rain was honestly similarly fumbled i will not lie — well anyway what i’m saying is sometimes something is cliche and trite and that’s okay except for when you remember misogyny bleeds through the cracks of our media landscape and we cannot escape. but honey that’s what fan fiction is for.
getting queerbaited by stranger things is like losing chess to a dog
“greatest queerbait of the century” baby it’s not even the greatest queerbait of the month
