Galeās Folly
"Shadowheart" by Anato Finnstark
I might've added the BG3 Art Book to my dnd assets stash
It' 100% does not have things like the 5e players' handbook + 5eās character sheet, several gm guides, critical role's explorer's guide to wildmount, baldur's gate and waterdeep city encounters, 101 potions and their effects, volo's guide to monsters, both of xanathar's guides, a bunch of other encounters, one shots, and class builds
In no way are there any pdfās relating to any wizard who may or may not be residing on any coast
(Edit that Iāve moved the folder to the new link above! So if you catch a different version of this post that link wonāt work anymore!)
i'll be honest when i first looked at this i thought it would be useless but oh my god this is a lifesaver THANK YOU

And what makes Ed happy? These past few weeks have been the most fun I've had in ages, years. Maybe ever. So... So, uh, I reckon what makes Ed happy... is... you.
Aziraphale was about to confess too before Metatron and his coffee came into the bookshop;
Okay, hear me out. In 2x02, when theyāre talking about āhow people fall in loveā, Crowley talks about sudden rainstorms,
which is an obvious reference to how he fell in love, about 6000 years earlier (poor demon thinks everyone falls in love the way he did)
Aziraphale doesnāt get it and answers āseems a bit unlikelyā. He didnāt connect the dots, he doesnāt think Crowley loves him that way. All he knows about falling in love is what he read in books. Of course he fell in love with Crowley too, but Iām pretty sure he did in ā41 when Crowley saved his books from a bomb, and thatās a bit hard to recreate, so⦠balls.
Thatās his idea, you make two people dance together and they magically fall in love, which is so in-character I want to scream. Now letās get to 2x05. We know Aziraphale always tried to avoid organizing those meetings, but heās suddenly so excited about it he is WILLING TO GIVE AWAY HIS BOOKS. Why would he do something like that? Thereās no way itās actually to make Maggie and Nina fall in love. At that point, Muriel doesnāt even care anymore about it, they all know the truth about the miracle is about to be revealed, so thereās no point in being so persistent about Maggie and Ninaās relationship. Heās an angel; of course he cares about humans being happy, but I donāt think he cares so much about two semi-strangersā love life that heās willing to give away BOOKS for the off chance that the Jane Austen method will actually work on two humans he knows nothing about. So, my conclusion is, heās organizing that night for him and Crowley. They are the ones that he hopes realize theyāre deeply in love with each other, and that is something worth giving away books for. Which explains why heās so excited but also a bit scared when he asks Crowley to dance with him.
It explains why he ignores the fact that Crowley is trying to tell him that something important and dangerous is about to happen, just so they can have a little dance. It also explains this reaction when he sees Gabriel and Beelzebub being in love with each other
and the way he looks at Crowley while theyāre talking about them.
I mean, I know he always stares lovingly at him, but not like that, right? Thatās a face that screams āIām so going to tell you I love you when all this is overā.
So, my point is:
Fuck Metatron.
Thatās my point.

i am a lover of all but callowmoore is #1 in my heart
Shaun Gilmore seems larger-than-life and over the top, but in the glimpses we get of him, heās also just so complex and amazing and god I love him so much that it was inevitable Iād eventually write 1000+ words of meta about him and why heās such a cool character.
So here it goes: Shaun Geddmore is a boy from a tiny town in the desert. His parents are sweet and loving, but perhaps donāt understand him the way heād like ā they know him asĀ ābraveā but donāt believe that he would singlehandedly protect a city. Shaun cryptically suggests thatĀ itās ātaken a whileā for them to be proud of him. At some point in his young adulthood, he has a boyfriend (as shown by the letters under his bed), but this does nothing to deter him from leaving as āsoon as [he] had the opportunity to leave,ā called to the big cities of Talādorei.Ā Ā
At some point, before or after he leaves, he discovers his strange powers, finding runes appearing on his skin and fantastic power running through his veins. We have no idea where he learns what this rare condition means, or how he learns to keep it carefully hidden even while making his livelihood from his arcane powers. Presumably, itās around the same time where he learned the basics of his craft, including how to fight.Ā
Regardless, though, Shaun leavesĀ for a different continent. A big city, with different languages spoken on the streets, with people of much lighter skin than him, and so much colder than his homeland. He changes his name to fit in, and opens up his shop. And he loves it ā seems to love flirting with his clients and making money. Single items probably sell for more than his parents made in their entire lives. And maybe he forgets his parents a little; we know that he barely comes to visit, despite the ease at which he could teleport there. Maybe itās hard to find the time or the energy when he works so hard. Maybe he finds the difference between his life in Emon and his life back in Shandal too jolting; they wouldnāt understand what he does or why it makes him so happy. Maybe he wants to live in the moment and visiting home feels like returning to his past.Ā
Because if nothing else, Shaun takes life as it comes. He sees Emon destroyed ā this beautiful town where heās started a life he couldnāt have imagined as a child ā and he immediately fights, taking on a one-on-one dragon just to rescue people, stumbling back to his shop, his beautiful shop reduced to rubble, with Salda and her children in tow. He spends months in Whitestone single-handedly maintaining the barrier in a state of half-exhaustion, and still fights alongside Vox Machina to defeat Thordak.Ā
All this time, he watches Vax, the man with whom heās flirted, who kissed him once, who said they couldnāt be together, struggle with mortality and fear and the uncertainty of his new love. And Shaun supports him and loves him and helps him discover his wings so that he might fly away from him. He does it all with a smile and a laugh becauseĀ āthe heart wants what it wants,ā because of his endless belief that life will be okay. Vox Machina will kill the dragons, theyāll come back, heāll set up shop again, and theyāll keep āpimping out [his] name.ā He refuses to let Vax leave his side before the Thordak fight without aĀ ātil next timeā and even at the campaignās end, when we see him in 113, heās still reassuring Vax thatĀ āitāll be an honour knowing you still.ā
And certainly, some of this optimism is a mask, a refusal to acknowledge or admit his own feelings. Shaun values his appearance, both physically in his dress and makeup, and emotionally in his semblance of optimism, control, and happiness. He doesnāt let many people close to him; Matt jokes, when we first see Gilmore on-stream, that āno oneās on a first-name basis with Gilmore,ā and, true to this, it takes dozens of episodes for Vox Machina to start calling him Shaun. Within minutes of Pike bringing him back from the brink of death after he fights Thordak, he attempts to cast Prestidigitation to clean himself up; he does the same after learning of Vaxās death in the Search for Grog. Throughout the Chroma Conclave arc, he adamantly denies his exhaustion, despite the worries of his friends. He only jokes that he wants the ādragon businessā to end so that he can return to his shop, that heās been keeping a tab for how much Vox Machina owes him.
This is another mask he seems to put on, that of a hardnosed shopkeeper who puts money over sentimentality. But a shopkeeper like that wouldnāt sponsor a ābunch of bumblefucksā who constantly forget their promise to advertise his brand, or let them haggle him down in prices just because he finds Vax pretty.Ā
Iād go so far to say that in the background of Vox Machinaās adventures is a small character arc in which Shaun acknowledges that he loves helping people.Ā Despite his bravery in the initial dragon attack, he doesnāt admit how altruistic he was; in response to Vaxās praise, he responds only āI could have saved more.ā It takes his service towards Whitestone to acknowledge that itĀ āfeels nice to be helping othersā; he explains:Ā āitās been a long time since I put my energy and talents towards anything beyond making shiny things.ā His appearance in the Search for Grog provides a sort of conclusion of this arc. Vox Machina find Shaun using his magic to provide entertainment for children, to help people whoĀ āhave lost far moreā than him. And even if he still hides his grief (he hasĀ āan audience to perform for,ā after all), his open desire to help others, to travel even further than Talādorei to take care of people who are suffering, to use his endless charm for unabashed good ā that shows real growth in character.
Anyways, thatās why I love him. Because in addition to being fabulous, funny, and powerful, heās a dynamic, flawed, and interesting character. He gets to grow, to change, to deny his emotions, to resent his parents, to love, to be sad, and to learn. He gets to have traits that come into conflict with each other: his love for Vax and his belief that love takes its own course; his pride in his powers and the necessity of hiding their origins; his money-making ambitions and his desire to help others. And he gets to do all of this while being aĀ ācampā gay man who wears eyeshadow and who flirts unashamedly.Ā
And thatās why they call him glorious.Ā
