Between 4th July and president day which do you think is homelanders favorite holiday? And what activities do you think he would do with y/n on these days??

It's probably obvious I'm not American as I had to look up what the difference was between the two holidays, lmao. 😂

I think President's Day would be his favourite because he's a walking encyclopaedia and gets to showcase his knowledge of all the founding fathers. He'd singlehandedly win the "President's Day Trivia Contest". The Fourth of July is Homelander's ultimate corporate holiday, it's the day Vought chose to be his "birthday" so it's the day he loathes the most. Getting paraded around for the public spectacle with no time to himself, it's not like he has anything to celebrate.

I can imagine the reader wanting to make Fourth of July special solely because of how miserable he gets. They'd surprise him after he comes home from filming his televised birthday special with a bunch of silly activities to make new fun memories. They'd buy a box of cheap sparklers and party horns, paint his face with the American flag colours (he'd hate it lol), and bake some America-themed cupcakes together so he can get a special one for his "birthday". And then to top the night off Homie would pick the reader up and fly out his penthouse balcony, hovering above the skyline for the perfect view so they can enjoy watching the fireworks.

Welp. I participated in Propstore's auction for The Boys memorabilia. Let's just say you're all invited to my Homelander-themed birthday party next year. As a warning though I only got 40 plates and 25 cups so some of you might have to share, lol. 🎉

Wanted to draw another version of an older piece I did with Homelander holding hands with the reader.

Homie's a little embarrassed to admit he enjoys holding hands with the reader, bare-handed with no gloves (gasp). Doesn't help that they're being a cheeky bastard about it because he refuses to look them in the eyes, lol.

What do you think of comic Homelander?

Personally I'm not a big fan of The Boys comic… and lowkey the show too (lmao). I've never been into superhero media or gratuitous shock value schlock, I only watched the show because I liked Antony Starr's Homelander so much. One of the aspects I love is how nuanced his childhood trauma is and how we see it shape him as an adult. How he developed all these little tics and insecurities, how he remained mentally stunted as an abused child and acts like he thinks an adult would, how he always wants a higher position but it never satisfies him, how he craves love and validation but continuously fails at understanding how to get it. I just find comic Homie more shallow and less interesting as a character. We don't get that same depth in the comics because he serves his purpose as an arrogant jackass who gets driven to insanity by Black Noir's actions.

Also comic Homelander might be like 6'5" or whatever but big Homie's got the reader to protect him, lol. 😂

And just to answer this ask because I don't have a lot to say.

Not super interested in Vought Rising, again because my boy Homie ain't in it. Unless they sneak in a flashback to Homie's origins or him as a kid in the lab I wouldn't watch it.

Homelander would take grave offence to someone creating a dress-up game of him where he's not treated like the god he is (aka being forced to wear embarrassing outfits (aka anything other than his regular supersuit)).

I bet the reader making a cheeky remark about how they'd enjoy seeing Homie dress up in something silly would make his brain overheat trying to think of the implications, lol. Like they would not even remember saying that to him but he'd be ruminating over every aspect of "you should wear a maid outfit" for weeks. 😂

HBB, not sure if you’re aware of The Boys auction that’s going on right now, but this is the actual size of the Voughtland Homelander mascot and I feel it’s as close to Big Homie we’re gonna get. I immediately thought of you, of course.

Every time I see the Voughtland Homelander mascot I am filled with dread, lmao. Like yeah he's got the "Big Homie" vibes I crave but that combo of the vacant painted-on stare and the screen mesh teeth terrifies me. 😂

Lowkey just imagining the reader going to Voughtland alone and seeing that version of the Homie mascot, and just being so unsettled. There's something off about their pookie...

Lol well, luckily for Homelander's mother he was a smaller-than-average kid. He didn't start shooting up like a rocket and getting scary tall until he was about 13. I did write a fic a couple years ago going into his childhood a bit more; basically Soldier Boy's DNA and the excess Compound V in utero caused him to undergo a super-charged puberty. But prior to that he was a wee bab.

Yeah, I don't know who exactly was the first to shorten Homelander's name to "Homie" but they are a genius lmao. I think it suits him more than shortening his name to "Lander" or something, because "Homie" is cute and he is a cutie so he should have a cute nickname. That's my scientific analysis anyways, lol.

And hell yes brother. We stan Homelander's fangs in this house. 🙌

I have a lot of thoughts about the finale, but I feel other people have said it more eloquently than I ever could so I won't yap too much. I just really think he deserved so, sooo much better of a death than what they went with. He was made into a pathetic over-the-top joke without ever acknowledging that Vought is the real villain, who made him into that monster just for their own profit and tossed him aside once he outlived his usefulness. And teasing for so many seasons that he'll finally snap and go on a rampage... but then he never does, is very frustrating. Also no Mirrorlander appearance which is a crime.

Regardless of my feelings about the final season and finale I'm not going anywhere, I love Homelander and this community too much to not stick around. We will now return to our regular big Homie broadcast, thank you. <3
