The more I think about it The more I think that a person comfortable with their way of life and living situation That kind of person would not make post-modern art That kind of person would make work that depicts their ideas clearly The viewer would have no reason not to "get it" and there is no sarcastic inside joke that insults the viewers abilities There may be more to an artwork than what you get at first glance, but further investigation is not necessary to understand that work Maybe that's what (well executed) commercial art is Maybe that's why comfortable artists rarely make something interesting It's familiar and boring Just thinking out loud here folks (by out loud, I mean I'm actually reading out loud as I'm typing - I could be lying but you wouldn't know)
