Deeper look at him

Finally now that I'm medicated and can stay on task it's time to finally get a proper post up for an OC that I've talked about before! It's time to take a look at the only Kaminoan I would ever protect and vouch for: Opo Di! Currently I don't have a picture for him but maybe in the next two or three months I can update this with a picture of him! Divider by @saradika-graphics

Opo Di is a young Kaminoan scientist. At 11 years old he’s reached full maturity, though his excitable nature makes the other Kaminoans regard him as a child. Despite their view of him, the others do admit that he is incredibly intelligent. They just wish he would put his intelligence to better use than towards his interest in the GAR clones.

His interest is so incredibly strong that some could argue it borders on obsession. He just finds them so interesting. The fact they’ve built up a culture for themselves and developed ways to express individuality fascinates him. So much so that most often he can be found talking with various clones throughout the day asking them all sorts of questions. Thanks to this he’s learned a lot from them, though sometimes he will get things a little mixed up in his excitement. The most common mistake for him is mixing up the meanings of Tubie, Shiny, and Cadet. 

All of this has greatly altered his view on the clones. Unlike the other Kaminoans he doesn’t view them as a product or property. He sees them as a sentient species of human that have so much more potential than as just soldiers. He even views them as his friends, as several clones will often happily spend time with him. He tries his best to remember everyone’s names as well. He will start out using a CT number before catching it and correcting himself. 

Those he’s closest with include: Scorch, Fives, Echo, and Fordo. Many of the clones he meets are weirded out or confused by him at first. He’s just so excitable that they don’t know what to make of him right away. Usually an older clone has to step in and reassure that Opo is harmless and that they’d get used to him with time. Which always turns out to be true in the end. Many of the clones want to keep him as far away from the other Kaminoans as possible. They even try to avoid calling him a long neck, though he insists he’s fine with it as that’s the clone word for Kaminoan. He really doesn’t view it as an insult in the slightest. 

The moment anyone asks him about the clones he will begin to infodump about them. Ranging from his theories that the Jedi and clones have formed a symbiotic relationship to anything he just happened to have recently learned from some of the clones. 

Aside from being so excitable, he’s incredibly sweet, loyal, and kind. He will do everything he can to protect those he views as a friend, even if it means breaking the rules or even the laws of Kamino if he had to. One example would be the time he woke the Alpha class ARCs during a battle on Kamino, because he wanted to ensure a clone who had protected him would get rescued and receive medical treatment. He lucked out that the Jedi argued on his behalf that doing so had been a brilliant tactical move, as it gave them the element of surprise against the separatist forces who had not expected reinforcements. 

He would love to learn more about the Jedi and their own culture, as he believes it’d be beneficial for him and his interests. After all, some of the clones are rather close with several Jedi. He’s noticed that the Jedi encourage the clones to view themselves as more than disposable and encourage their individuality. Though it’s not purely because of their connection to the clones that they interest him. No, he wants to know more because he has heard rumors that there may have once been a force sensitive Kaminoan who had been shunned. He would love to know more about her as other than rumors there is next to nothing about her in any records he has come across. 

He also has an interest in traveling the galaxy. He’d love to see some of the beautiful planets that have been described to him by clones who return to Kamino for one reason or another, or ones who send him messages from off world. However, he’d prefer to travel with some of his friends instead of alone. This is because he knows it’d be safer for him, he’s not much of a fighter no matter how protective he is over his friends, and it’d also be more fun.

Minutiae would follow Spade anywhere, even if he was certain they would die. But he also isn't afraid to challenge Spade if he thinks there's a better way to go about things, which is why Spade trusts Minutiae a great deal. He knows Minutiae won't lie to him and he also knows Minutiae would fight till the end of the line.

They may seem very efficient, they aren't a force to be reckoned with. But when they're by themselves and nothing serious is happening? Their braincells are allergic to each other and you would never think these were the captain and lieutenant in the CDU

Thinking about how protective Jogan is of his droid.

Because Boss is a little boxy thing with too much personality and too many opinions for her own good.

It's not her fault, babygirl was put together from so many scraps Jogan managed to collect and he reprogrammed her with random bits of knowledge and a lot of faith.

The cooks are always busy and more often than not stressed to Coruscant and back twice over, and they do not have the time or energy to deal with the willful droid.

And if something happened to her, he doubts anyone would be that sad or even notify him of what happened until it was too late to do something about it.

So he's protective and even aggressive to whoever thinks they can kick or flip Boss upside down so that she won't be able to order everyone around and make sure everything is going according to plan (and keeping Cilantro awake and Onnit focused)

She's full of personality and opinions (and a bit of bloodlust), but she's the droid he built with his own two hands, and the one thing in the galaxy he can puff out his chest and say that belongs to him, and nobody will take her away from him. Not without a fight.

And if the droid 'sleeps' on his bed, that's his creation meaning that's his daughter and he refuses to be anything but the best droid dad in the whole galaxy :)

Spade

This guy. Oh my goodness. This guy had nightmares to end all nightmares. And that when he ever actually does get to sleep due to how bad his insomnia is. Usually tho, the worst ones end with Noir dying or dead and Spade could do nothing to stop it but watch. Sometimes it even includes Cyra after they grow closer as friends, either way though it end in a very horrific death

Softshell

In his worst nightmares include everyone leaving him, and being told every single thing he’s ever done wrong and every single bad thing he thinks about himself. And then the bounty hunter who caused him the injury that left him half numb comes back and finished the job.

Naji

His nightmares don’t normally get to bad but when they do, well, it’s usually a really dark never ending place where he’s left alone in, he can hear people now and again but each time they’re just saying how useless he is (don’t worry Vixen makes sure he knows otherwise once he wakes up)

Vixen

They are all back on Coruscant living the same miserable lives they were before, everyone is beat down into submission and she is stuck in her own body unable to say a thing. The only one of her close vod’e she sees is Steeljaw, who looks more emotionally dead than she’s ever even seen Arcane. Naji is no where to be seen and she doesn’t know whether that’s a blessing or a curse

7. How far is your OC willing to go to get what they want?

Spade

As far as it takes really, he’s not going to hesitate to kill if he has to. After a certain point he just became numb to it, they were trained to win no matter what after all.

Softshell

That entirely depends on who he’s getting it for. Some of the people he loves most? He’d do anything, even if it cost him his life.

Naji

He’ll do whatever doesn’t get someone killed. Taking life was never something he wanted to do, and even tho there are terrible people out there, taking a life has never and will never feel right to him (unless say Vixen’s own life was in the line, that’s the only exception)

Vixen

She would run herself to the ground to get what she wants and has done so before. Which is why everyone keeps a close eye on her when she plans on doing something risky

my shadowtrooper Ghost would be best friends with Heron, probably wouldn’t outright partake in his nightly rituals but would definitely tag along, help isolate a target or two and hide the body. They do the bro nod to each other after, it’s really cool they’re so fucked up and Ghost definitely thinks he’s the least fucked up one (he’s wrong)

I think Heron would appriciate some like-minded company. Its lonely when you cant share ypur favorite hobbies and interests with people.

Even when those hobbies are MURDER 🤣

Heron just soaked up to his elbows in blood smilling with thumbs up after gutting someone slowly while trying to keep them awake the whole time like, "did you have fun? I had fun. You hungry? I have the meat, can do some bbq HA >:3c."
