hey! i know it's easy to feel so little sometimes. however, please know that you are so important and significant. you are not lesser for what you are. it's okay to have flaws, but you're incredibly valid and worth more than you think. thinking of a white call-duck fills me with a lot of positive vibes, they're comforting and give a home-like, warm feeling. you're so strong for getting where you are now, and you should be proud of yourself for that. and i know you'll be able to keep going forward! anyone would be so lucky to know a duck as amazing as you.

how to cope with when you still have urges to protect humans, when you’re in your new vessel? my soul does not begin to process how this new mind and body works. we are now much too complicated, as well as too fragile to handle this all. but still, we continue to protect. and still, we continue to nurture. still, we continue to hurt.

I understand the feeling of still wanting to protect this world and the humans living in it, and I think the best way to do that is to contribute however you can to activism and advocacy for marginalized and oppressed groups. I’ve especially been focusing on immigrants and what I can do to help them and their situation, donating money to Never Again Is Now. But even volunteering at a soup kitchen, carrying snack + travel toiletry baggies around in case you cross paths with someone struggling with homelessness, tipping extra to food service and Lyft/Uber workers, putting trans-positive and anti-fascist stickers on crosswalk sign poles (dubiously legal but not harmful) are all ways one could feel helpful. It’s easy to feel overwhelmed, especially if you have to focus a lot of energy on taking care of yourself, but these are just a few ways I’ve coped with that feeling.
