Damien Smythe. The most exciting person you'll ever meet.
"I don't believe in love. I believe in fucking. It's honest, it's efficient. You get in and out with a maximum of pleasure, and a minimum of bullshit."
No... he wouldn't go this long without seeing me or contacting me... The last time he disappeared because our parents kidnapped him but this is different. It feels different.... He's missing... He's fucking gone and I can't even go find him.
What do you think I've been trying to do? They won't let me leave my room. I'm on locked down and no one will tell me anything about Alec. Sebastian it's been almost two weeks, and I haven't heard anything from him! He would call me, text me or something. He'd tell me where he was but nothing... I... I don't fucking like this. Stupid idiot probably did something and... now they probably have him locked up somewhere...
Did they tell you already? What's going to happen?
Notes: Alec and Damien have been told the truth about them because of the Smythes' birthdays coming up.
Alec paced around his room before shutting his laptop. He was sick to his stomach, and he could feel pressure behind his eyes. But he wasn't going to let himself cry. Not over this. There had to be a way out. They weren't even 18. How could their parents have done this to them? But suddenly things he had heard made sense -- comments they'd made. Why they'd kept him at home longer and called themselves selfish for it. He let out a frustrated scream before walking out and down the hall. He knocked loudly on Damien's door before moving back and forth in front of it. "Damien, please open up. Please." He could hear his voice was shaking, but he didn't care. His eyes closed as he balled his hands up into tight fists, his nails digging into his skin. "Fuck."
Damien knotted his hands together in his lap, for the first time in his life, he felt genuine fear. He'd always been the type who lived like he could die tomorrow, but that was half of the thrill --- it was a whole other story when you actually knew the expiration date of your life. When you realized that you were only born... no, not even born... made? ... created? to die. That you were spare parts for some jerk off you'd never meet, and what terrified him the most was that so were his brothers. Even though they weren't even his real brothers. He felt sick to his stomach thinking about how his whole existence was a lie. Everything Damien knew was a lie --- and even though he knew that... It didn't stop his instinct to protect his brothers from this. Hearing the knock on his door, drew Damien out of his own thoughts, composing his face to appear stronger than he really was, he got up from his bed and went to answer it. Quickly pulling Alec inside, and shutting the door behind him, he looked at his bother... his lover... the love of his life... his everything and it took everything in him not to fall apart thinking about what was going to happen to him and to all of them. "Relax, Baby brother. You're much sexier when you're not covered in snot and tears or having some kind of fit." Damian joked to cover up his own internal panic, and be some sort of anchor in this bitch of a storm.
Alec didn't know what he was supposed to do. Everything he'd believed in was turning out to be wrong. He felt like he couldn't breathe. It was wrong, but he was more worried about Damien. It had taken them seventeen years to get here, and he wouldn't even have half as long until Damien was gone. He'd always known they'd never be able to get married considering that they were brothers, but there'd be so much they wouldn't be able to do. Alec still couldn't grasp his mind around the fact that they'd been created. He didn't want to think about that -- that they were nothing but lab rats created for someone else. Fuck if he was going to let Damien give his life away so someone else could survive. What kind of human even did that? He clenched his jaw and turned around just as the door opened. He wasn't crying yet, but he threw his arms around Damien and pressed their lips together. His hands ran up Damien's sides, and he gripped him desperately. "I'm not losing you," he said, when he pulled back. "I'm not letting some asshole take you away from me. I'm not watching you die."
Damien barely had a chance to breathe or speak again before his brother's lips were locked tightly on to his own. He didn't make a move to pull away, and wrapped his arms around Alec's waist; lacing his fingers together at the small of his back. The desperate thoughts, and fear were clawing at his throat making it grow tight, along with his chest. Was there anyway out of this, ever since Damien had gotten the news he had exhausted all his brain power trying to think of any possible way out of this situation. He came up with nothing but blanks. As they parted, he took in a deep breath and looked down into his brother's eyes the red rim showing sighs of tears threatening to fall from Alec's eyes. "It's not your choice, and I already decided what I was going to do," he said lowly with a frown creasing between his brows. It wasn't much, but Damien had volunteered to go first to at least give his brothers more time, and a fighting chance. "Better me than you, Sebastian or Xavier." Moves his hand up to Alec's face, tilting his chin up and pressing a kiss to his lips again. It was hard knowing that every kiss, and every word was closer to their last ones. He thought they had the rest of their lives to figure things out, to be together or not to be together but still be brothers. Either way, Alec would always be in his life, and his to love in ways he could never say out loud. Damien had to keep pushing those thoughts aside to focus only on the feeling of his brother's lips on his own.
Alec when Damien told him that he didn't have a choice, Alec shut his eyes, trying not to cry, not to look weak in front of Damien. "Please..." His voice was quiet and broken. He sounded like he had as a child, begging Damien not to leave him. "You can't. Dami..." Alec leaned his head into the crook of Damien's neck and took in a shaky breath. He couldn't imagine a world in which Damien was dead. The thought made him tremble, and his hands dropped down as he took Damien's shirt between his fingers and his hands tightened into fists around it. Alec pressed a kiss to Damien's neck before looking back up at him. Millions of words ran through his mind. Don't leave me. I can't live without you. I can't do this. I'm too weak. But Damien said none of them. Instead, he just looked up at Damien and pulled him closer. With a shaky hand, he reached up and ran his thumb along Damien's jaw and then over his lips. The feel, the scent -- everything -- about Damien was familiar to him now. He couldn't imagine waking up one day and knowing that he'd never have any of that again. "Run away with me," he said. "Run away with me, and we'll find a place where they won't catch us. We'll take Xavier and Sebastian once we settle down as well, and we'll live in some goddamn cave if we have to. They can't put up missing posters because I doubt what they're doing is legal, and if our original or whatever-the-fuck they are is found out, they'll have to explain to the police. They can't find us. They won't find us." Alec's voice was getting shakier, and he was getting closer to tears as he continued to ramble on.
Damien kept his arms tightly wrapped around Alec's body as he moved backwards toward his bed until the mattress hit the back of his knees. Sitting down, Damian brought his brother down into his lap and tried not to show how much it hurt him to see Alec's face in so much pain. Affection wasn't his thing, but this... was special circumstances and Damien could soften up a bit if only for now. Gently he cupped his brother's face, tracing his thumbs across his sharp cheekbones. "Baby, don't do that. Don't give me that look, and that voice. You'll be fine without me, just like you were those years I was sent into exile." Closing his eyes, he relished briefly in the touch over his jaw, and lips before the snapped open again at Alec's words. "Whatever you're thinking, don't. Stop right now because it's not going to work. Don't you think I tired to go off of the grid before and look at us. We're sheltered kids, more or less. No real life skills and no way to survival. Be realistic, and they'd find us. It wouldn't be hard to find four exceptionally good looking fuckers like us, no matter where we went. Just let me take care of this and the three of you will have a chance. At least some kind of chance at a little more time to make a better plan." Damien could feel his own voice starting to fray around the edges, but he shoved down the lump in his throat and put on a stone face expression.
Alec knew that Damien was going to refuse, but it didn't make it any easier. It didn't hurt any less to see Damien telling him that there was no way out of it. Alec felt his eyes sting, and he couldn't hold back the tears any longer. He stood up, moving out of Damien's lap as if burnt before slapping Damien across the face. "You're the one out of us who's not supposed to give up," he screamed. "You taught me never to let anyone step all over you or write out your life." He let out a sob and reached up, wiping his tears away with the sleeve of his shirt. "Fight back! You have to fight back. You have to." Alec shook. He wanted to fall to his knees and clutch onto Damien. He wanted Damien to hold him and tell him that everything would be okay, but there was no way that it would be. But he didn't want to accept that. He could't. Accepting that meant accepting that he was losing Damien. If Damien became a donor, Alec would become his carer. And there was no way Damien would become a carer, even if it would give the both of them several more years together. Damien never had been too good at doing that. They wouldn't let him. "Why are you just giving up? How can you let them run all over you?" he asked, his voice slowly getting quieter. "How can you just let them kill you?" How am I supposed to watch you get weaker? Alec thought, looking at Damien, so tough and so brave, but finally unable to run away from his problems.
Damien couldn't see any way out of what was going on. He had thought about running away too, about burning the place down, about punching every person in this damn school or killing every person trying to take away his whole world, but there wasn't a damn thing he could do. Not some seventeen year old kid with a big mouth. They were pawns in someone's twisted game, and the people in charge would probably kill them before letting them escape. The tears that fell down his brother's cheeks broke his heart to a million shattered pieces, reaching up he was about to wipe them away before Alec was out of lap. The slap surprised him, making his head snap to the side the stinging shooting across his skin in a dull burn but the words hurt a bit more. Composing his face, he turned to look up at Alec with a glare. "Stop acting like an idiot fucking child, Alexander! Stop crying like a little kid, and get your shit together." His words came out harsher than he meant it to, but Damien's temper was getting the best of him. It wasn't like he wanted to die, and he was scared enough of having someone tie him to a table, and play Operation with his body but it was between himself or his brothers and despite how much he loved himself they were always more important. Especially Alec, and if it gave him a bit more time, it was worth losing everything. "Don't be so dramatic, Baby brother. You make it sound like I'm committing suicide. I'm doing what I have to do." I'm doing what I can do to save you. To protect you. I don't want to leave you but I have to for you to live. He couldn't bring himself to say those words, as he reached down to run his hand through Alec's hair. "Just let it go already because there's nothing we can do about. You crying until your eyes bleed isn't going to change what's going to happen." He knew that he had to go first, because if Damien had to watch one of his brothers die, or lost Alec he'd never be able to handle that. He's fall apart and never recover.
Alec wanted to yell and scream and throw a tantrum until he saw the side of Damien he'd once hated. The side that didn't let anyone, not even Alec, run over him. But the news about everything seemed to extinguish that. Damien was resigned. There was no doubt in the way he looked at Alec or by his words. There was nothing Alec could do that was going to make him change his mind. Alec wondered whether it was possible to run away on his own and find a place. If he did, maybe he could convince Damien to come with him. But he'd think about that later. Right now he just needed to be by Damien's side. He needed to hear Damien tell him he loved him now more than ever. He flinched a little at Damien's words before going limp against Damien's hand. He moved forward onto the bed and wrapped his arms around Damien before tugging them both down into lying positions. He cried quietly now, scared and not wanting to think about what awaited them. Damien probably wouldn't need to begin donating right at eighteen unless the human who he was cloned after was sick. Alec hoped to a God he didn't believe in that he wasn't. Burying his head against Damien's chest, he asked, his voice tiny and child-like, "Tell me you love me. Please. Even if you don't mean it Dami, just tell me you love me. That you need me. That e - everything will be okay. Please."
Damien felt exhausted, like he could sleep for a year and when he woke up this whole thing would be some kind of sick, alcohol and drug induced nightmare. That everything really would be okay, and they'd have a whole lifetime to build something. Even if it wasn't like a normal couple you'd see around, they had each other. They always had each other, and part of Damien had always thought they would. A shitty apartment with a single bed, and dirty dishes in the sink and pizza boxes and liquor bottles everywhere. Fighting over stupid shit and fucking until they had Earth shattering orgasms. A life that was all their own, together like it should have been. Now, that would never happen. They'd never have a chance to see what could be. Allowing himself to be pulled down on to the bed, he wrapped his own arms around Alec, pulling his brother more to his chest. This would have to be enough. This would have to be their happy ending, because there was someone how there that had a claim on Damien's life and soon they'd come collecting. Closing his eyes, he forced back the stinging of tears threatening to fall, and ran his fingers down Alec's spine. "Don't get sappy on me. One little death scare, and you're suddenly puddy." He chuckled lowly, burying his nose into the top of Alec's head, kissing his temple softly. I love you. I love you more than you'll ever know and more than I can ever say. I've loved you forever and I'll love you until my last breath. The words stuck in his throat, refusing to come out in fear of making this worse than it already was. It could only hurt Alec more if he knew how Damien felt, so he swallowed them down and held him tighter. "Try to get some sleep."
Alec trembled just a bit. He felt suddenly cold, though he knew that it had nothing to do with temperature of the room. He moved in closer to Damien. He wanted everything to be as he'd imagined. He wanted a happily ever after between them. Of course, it wouldn't have been a fairy tale. They both were too stubborn for that, but he'd always imagined a life where they'd live together, dysfunctional and argumentative, but together. He didn't care if they fought. He could have even taken a thousand heartbreaks from nights when Damien got drunk and ran away to fuck someone else as long as Damien would come back to him in the end. But now he wouldn't even have that. He had a limited amount of time. Chances were before they were thirty they'd both be -- He didn't want to think about that. He just wanted to focus on the fact that Damien was here now. And they weren't fighting for once. When Damien didn't say that he loved him, Alec's heart ached. He knew that Damien wanted to be big and strong. He knew that Damien would be too terrified to open his heart, but he wanted to hear it. He looked up, his eyes swollen and red. "Just say it once. So I can hear it. I know you're scared of hurting yourself if you open up, but I just --" He closed his eyes and breathed in, trying to calm down. "I've tried to be brave. I've tried to. All my life I just thought 'Maybe Damien will respect me if...'" Alec shook his head and opened his eyes again. He stretched up just a bit placed a light kiss to Damien's lips. "But I can't today. Just say it once, and I promise I won't ask again u - until you've donated as much as you can and y - you're..." The words 'on your deathbed' lingered in the air but were left unspoken. "I love you, Damien." He reached down, taking Damien's hand and squeezing it.
Damien shifted, and pulled back the blankets before covering them both their bodies with it and held Alec as close to his body as he could. Even though their birthday was still some time off, and he probably had a while before he even had to start donations. Maybe they'd have a bit of time to be together. He was stupid to even believe there was any sort of future out there for him, especially one that would have Alec in it. They had spent years apart and fate was not kind enough to give him even a bit of happiness. Although, Damien should be grateful for the little time he did get. The small taste of bliss, and what it meant to be loved. Looking down into his brother's blue eyes clouded by despair, he sighed lowly and pressed his lips against Alec's. "I'm not scared of hurting myself. I've never been afraid for myself, Alec," he mumbled lowly between kisses. "Shh... baby... Don't cry anymore... This is almost as bad as when you got stabbed..." Slipping his hands under Alec's shirt, his fingertips traced light circles over his back, and leaned in to rest their foreheads together. "I've never been disappointed in you, or anything you've done... Don't make me say I love you, just to yank that away from you. I don't want the first time I say I love you to be a moment that you're afraid of losing me and hurt you more." It wasn't like him to admit something like that, but even Damien had his limits and everything happening was breaking them.
Alec was thankful as Damien drew the blankets over them. He was also thankful for Damien pulling him closer and holding him close. He needed to feel Damien against him to know that this was all real. But also that he could deal with it. At least for now. Now he had Damien. When Sebastian and Xavier had been sent away, it had hurt, but it had been nothing in comparison to how it'd been when Damien had left. He felt like he could deal with anything as long as Damien was there. Maybe tonight was proving him wrong about the future, but he didn't want to think about that too much more. He knew it'd be impossible to just shut his brain off, but he wished he could. When Damien looked down at him and kissed him, his breath caught in his throat. It was as if he'd reverted back to his younger self, the one who looked at Damien with wide, adoring eyes. The one whose eyes shined with innocence and who would come to curl up with Damien during thunderstorms. When Damien said he'd never been disappointed in him, Alec smiled, and his eyes watered a bit with a pained joy. "I won't ask that of you, then. But just promise me you'll say it once before this is all over. Promise me that I'll get to hear it just once." He reached up and ran his fingers through Damien's hair.
Damien flattened his palms against Alec's back, and kept his brother tightly against his body. No matter how old they got, or the fact that they were the same age, Alec would always be his baby brother. He's always be the one person that occupied every inch of Damien's heart. Of course he'd always protect his brothers, each one of them but Alec was his... They belong to each other in a sense that had been enough to be terrifying and probably something their parents sensed which was how they could justify sending him away and separating all of the so they wouldn't go so attached. Those sick fucks probably thought they were helping to make this day easier. Shaking those thoughts off, Damien trailed his lips down the side of Alec's face and then his jaw. "I won't lie to you and say everything's going to be okay but I'll tell you that I'm here with you through everything. I won't leave you until I have to, but you're strong. Even without me... You'll be okay, because you're the best of all of us. Stubborn and strong like me. Smart and compassionate like Sebastian and Xavier." He brushed his nose affectionately against his brother's cheek, tangling their legs together and making sure there wasn't a single inch between their bodies. "You don't need me to tell you something you've know since we were kids." Damien's face softened into a smile, bringing one of his hands to Alec's face to wipe away his tears with his thumbs.
Alec didn't know if he felt more terrified or comforted. Because those were all things he'd wanted to hear his entire life. He'd waited to hear Damien tell him that he was special, that he was loved. But he'd always imagined them under different circumstances, when they were older and when Damien settled down a little. This was not how he'd wanted to hear it. Because if Damien were admitting it now, he must have been terrified himself. Alec just nodded his head, though and pushed away that thought. He just wanted to feel Damien close against him. It was all he'd ever wanted, so it would have to suffice. He closed his eyes and leaned into Damien's touch when Damien wiped away his tears. He disagreed. He wasn't stubborn or strong, not without Damien, but he would have no choice. Maybe they could figure something out. If they could pull off running away... Alec let out a shaky breath. He didn't need to think about that now. It would just stress him out more, and he wouldn't be able to do anything about it. Alec smiled up at him and pressed a kiss to the tip of Damien's nose. "Well, I wouldn't be half as awesome if I didn't have a kickass brother to teach me all of it," he said. He rested his head back on the pillow and buried it against Damien's chest. His eyes stayed open, and his hand dropped down running lightly up Damien's side. "You'd better be here until the end. I'm holding you to that one." He nuzzled up against him a bit and let out a shaky breath. Thankfully, he'd stopped crying. "I hope you don't mind me sleeping here because I'm gonna do it no matter what."
Damien had always been the rebel without a cause, and the troublemaker of his brothers. He'd even recently adapted the nickname of demon in a blazer, but in this moment there was literally nothing that ever scared him more than knowing all this was to end. They were all going die, that realization sunk in deeper with each passing second, making Damien's hold on his brother even tighter. If there was a way out of this, he'd sell his soul, or any parts they wanted to at least give his brothers a chance to live. Except, Damien wasn't an idealist, and he had no sense of naive hope. He knew no matter where they tried to run to, they'd be found somehow and it would get worse. That made his stomach churn, and bile almost rise up in his throat so he pushed those thoughts away to focus on his lover and the soft kiss on his nose as well as the weight of his brother against his chest. "Shh. No more talking about this shit anymore, baby. Just try to get some sleep, you can stay here as long as you want," he whispered, tracing his fingers across Alec's skin. As soon as he felt the other boy's breathing become more shallow, and even he knew he was asleep, Damien's front and mask started to crack and shatter into pieces. The tears he had been trying to hold back of his own fears stung as they silently fell from his eyes. God he was so fucking pathetic crying like a scared little girl. "I love you, Alec." Damien's words came out in a broken whisper before his clamped his mouth shut not trusting his own voice anymore while he laid there until he was finally too exhausted to keep his eyes open anymore, finally passing out.
If you told me that, then I'd say I'm already half hard and on my way to you. You'd look so gorgeous with a little collar around for be to grab on to and pull you around like a good boy.
Wait, are you serious? Damn, the thought of you cuffed and spread out for me… Happy birthday to me indeed. If we get them arrested, we’re throwing a party together and getting wasted. Dami… No on’es going to do that. I’m not going to let them do that either. I know you hate sentimentals, but I love you. You’re my brother. I’ve looked up to you and wanted the chance to be with you for so long. I was so angry when they took you away, and they kept us apart for years. They tried to tear our entire family apart, but Xavi and Sebby will be safe too. We all will be. I’m not letting you out of my sight unless it’s to buy more lube.
Since it's your birthday and all. I'll let you have me tied down, legs spread apart and at your mercy. You've earned it, especially after being such a good boy with the vibrator during class all those times. Sounds like a plan to me. Get rid of the parents and we can take over the house to have a party. You're getting soft and sappy of me baby. It's stupid that they split us all up for so long but we're all together now and there's not a chance in Hell I'd let anyone fuck that up. You're my baby brother, and there's no way I'd ever let someone take you from me again. Not this time.
Last time we did that, I have a visible limp for a week, and the marks on my wrist from where the cuffs dug in took ages to go away. I don’t give a fuck what mommy dearest wants. They’re the ones who fucked us over and tried to split us apart for as long as they could, and I’m not going to be nice to anyone who tries to take my brothers away from me.
If you're going to whine about it, maybe I'll give you a birthday gift of letting you cuff me instead. My little rebel, careful all that youth and revolt against our parents is going to get me hard. No one's going to take us away from each other again. Not you, me, Sebby, Xavi. I wouldn't let them do it again.
I really don't remember shit from New Years and if I molested a dwarf I'm going to burn my hands off. The hangover wasn't that bad. We got to chill out in bed all day, and stuff. It was better than the alternative.
I see some celebratory birthday sex coming up in our future. God, can we just run away and live in a dinky apartment and go to clubs and shit? Why did our parents even send us here?
Mmm, a whole day dedicated to birthday sex. Imagine what we could accomplish with that. I'm pretty sure mommy dearest has a tracking device firmly implanted in one of your ass cheeks, so even if we tried to run she'd find you. I'm getting really tired of being treated like a pin cushion and ready to call social services on these weirdos.

Where the hell are you?
I woke up next to a midget... I'm pretty sure it was one of the Anderdwarfs. Don't know which one but at least it was a bed... Almost a damn good New Years.
