so rebellion came out on blu-ray and everyones talking about this show again so i thought now would be a good time to make this:

Intro:

She has a loving family and best friends, laughs and cries from time to time… Madoka Kaname, an eighth grader of Mitakihara middle school, is one of those who lives such a life. One day, she had a very magical encounter. She doesn’t know if it happened by chance or by fate yet. This is a fateful encounter that can change her destiny—this is a beginning of the new story of the magical witch girls.

it’s a magical girl story but with a lot of dark themes.. like you’ll be very surprised when you watch the show

Actually they consulted an architect about how many balloons exactly it would take to do that to a house of that exact size and weight. They calculated that moment using a physics engine and took everything into account. Unless a professional architect as well as all of the physics professors who put their effort into that highly advanced physics engine are wrong, that take off was actually very doable and scientifically accurate.

They had about 23,000 balloons present in the lift-off sequence. Scientists estimated that it could take anywhere between 100,000 to 23 MILLION balloons to lift off a house, more likely about 120,000-230,000 for a house of Carl's size.

And for the record, architects know jack about engineering, so I don't know why you'd try to attribute an engineering claim to a non-engineer.

Please don't tout bullshit and source your claims.

Actually everything about this image is off model. Heights are off all over the place.

My guess is that they originally had Sayaka on the far left, but decided to switch it with Kyouko due to the poses, and just swapped their heads out of laze.

That said, Sayaka's bust is the same size as Mami's, but her cup sizes (sic: her boobs, as you say) are still smaller. Sayaka has a straighter build, while Mami's is curvier.

From the fan-made estimate chart (BWH measurements are lateral width, not circumference):

Tomoe Mami

Height: 159cm

Upper height: 89.2cm

B-W-H: 21.2-14.8-22.1

Miki Sayaka

Height: 161.5cm

upper Height: 91.3cm

B-W-H: 21.2-15.7-21.6

Because Mami has a thinner waist yet wider hips, we can assume a curvier build and that more of her bust measurement comes from her breasts themselves and not from her torso, while Sayaka's waist is a little bigger (and likewise her hips are smaller), which is evidence of a straighter build, meaning that more of her bust size comes from her torso, rather than her breasts.

Additionally, Kyouko's bust is significantly smaller than Sayaka's or Mami's (only 17.8 cm), as is her waist (13.5 cm) which it's clear that this isn't pictured.

And once again Tumblr users prove they have no understanding of copyright laws.

Under US law, which is what applies on Tumblr as a US company, as well as universally according to the TRIPS agreement:

A copyright is granted the moment a work is created. In this sense, there is no such thing as an ‘uncopyrighted work’. It applies to any visual, audio, or written work, and even in many cases ideas as well. Copyright ownership will not default to you only if you are employed or working for hire under another company AND they explicitly state they will own the rights in your contract. (The note on ideas more applies to countries like Canada, which makes provisions for ideas).

The only reason you need to register a copyright for is if you want to take advanced legal action. Even if this supposed provision of Tumblr claiming ownership of ‘non-copyrighted works’ exists and is taking place, I seriously doubt anyone is working with Tumblr to where their content’s ownership defaults to them, and that aside the provision would be totally inconsequential to your content because of how the law is stated. The only thing they could claim would be works posted here that were simultaneously not made by you and had no attribution of ownership anywhere.

Stop freaking out.

It’s no secret the PMMM fandom really dislikes Hitomi for some reason. They blame Sayaka’s downfall on her, that she stole Kyousuke from her, etc.

There are two major flaws with most of these accusations:

She came forward to Sayaka. Most people think she was being cruel by…

That said, there ARE some people in the fandom who take issue with her for coming off as rather homophobic. This is okay. I don’t particularly like her because of that.

If you're concerned over that you're focusing way too much on microchosms of characters.

Hitomi, as shown by the PSP games and such, isn't homophobic (she actually gets pretty interested in Homura and even confesses this). That said, her actions in the start of the series are important with how they're presented. Normally homosexuality is made into a joke in modern media. In the case of PMMM, Hitomi is made into the joke when she gets worked up/paranoid over the same idea.

You have a heterosexual overreacting to homosexuality as opposed to two homosexuals overreacting to homosexuality. Tell me what you think is more realistic and does a better job of subliminally treating homosexuality as natural.

And again, she gets pretty conflicted with her feelings after meeting Homura. Looks like a fairly normal case of a girl raised in a conservative household who's starting to question her values to me.

To conclude, characters are not just characters: they are literary tools. A character's presence and how they're presented is just as important as the traits that define them. Saying you don't like her due to homophobia is just looking for a shallow excuse to hate on her. Don't use moral absolutionism as a crutch.
