Guys, I just had an epiphany.
A ship between Piper and Johnny Storm would be so awesome.
REBLOG IF YOU ARE HELLA BORED AND WOULDN’T MIND SOME CURIOUS ANONS.
Guys can HERBIE and DUM-E get a playdate pretty please?
Guys I just saw the doomsday trailer. Is the entire movie going to a series of boss fights?
Cuz it looked like it and I can't exactly say I am mad.
The gambit and Shang Chi scene looked lit af.
And no I am not gonna mention Steve.
Hello new moot, I hope you don't mind asks, feel free to ignore if you do! But I see that you have an oc called Piper and I am very interested especially since it seems to involve capdad! I would love a lore rundown about her if you are willing to give one!
I LOVE ASKSSSSS
And yes, Piper's story does involve capdad. Like a lot of it!!!!!
Piper Rue Parker is my marvel oc. She is Peter's twin sister and shares his bad luck lol.
OMG this is the first ask I have gotten about her (or ever lol) and it's hard to start from a place. So I'll pick just pick her first scene.
Her first on page appearance takes place in Captain America: The Winter Soldier. She had a perfectly normal hobby: finding out the truth behind her parents' death. And she's very normal about it too.
Totally not obsessive.
But her amature hacking skills get her in the radar of the winter Soldier. Cue a very intense fighting scene.
And also Steve wondering who tf is that as he sees a 14 yr old Piper jump from a burning school bus.
Somehow she gets away.
And then a very funny recruitment scene happens, where Tony and Steve land on the Parker's doorstep.
Piper at the start of her story has like very clear objectives. Study. Find out the truth about her parents death, and keep her super brother out of trouble.
And yea her story has capdad but...it's kinda doomed? Not really but like yea. When Piper was forming, and as I was comparing her dynamics to canon, my first thought was that "Piper is to Steve what Peter is to Tony" and it always rang true.
Steve teaching Piper how to ride a bike, helping her cope through stress and trauma and... Yea a lot of doomed father daughter relationship stuff.
So yea, thats all I can think of at the moment.
(PLEASE ASK ME MORE AND A LITTLE SPECIFICALLY. I HAVE SO MUCH TO TALK ABOUT HER AND STEVE AND JUST MCU IN GENERAL BUT I CANT THINK WHERE TO START AHHHH)
btw, the fic is published as "Webs and Wormholes" on Wattpad, by Vihuwrites. It's ongoing and will be long.
Oh nothing, just thinking about Steve and Peter's awkward second meeting post Civil War like: "hey, sorry for stealing your shield...!" And: "Hey, sorry for punching you in the face!" And then they become the best father son duo the world has ever seen good night the end.
I'LL HELP YOU KEEP THE CAPDAD AND SPIDERSON COMMUNITY ALIVE. I LOVE THEM SO MUCH
THANK YOU THANK YOU I NEED ALL THE HELP I CAN GET 🥹
Definitely. I love CAPDAD in general so much holy shit and it's literally so dead🥹🥹

gracie’s irondad rec masterlist <3
this is a list compiled of my fave fics and writers since i've joined the irondad fandom in 2017. i have tried to link and tag as many of the creators as possible, but if i miss any, let me know so i can add them! i highly recommend checking out the authors behind all of these fics, because there are so many gems in here that i couldn't fit.
if, for some reason, any of writers end up finding this post, here is a message for you in particular:
thank you so much for all the passion and love and light you've put into this fandom. all of these works are so dear to my heart and have inspired me in ways i genuinely can't even express. you created this little space of internet and marvel culture that has been my safe haven through some really difficult times, and i'm eternally grateful. thank you, thank you, thank you.
(i will also note that if any of you wonderful, terrific people say hi, i might weep or throw up or something. i truly do mean it when i say you guys have been incredible inspirations to me)
Thank you so much
May Parker never wanted kids. She'd made that rule for herself in the early years of her career. Thanks to modern medicine, she saved a lot of people everyday. But once in a while, once too soon each time actually, in her days as a pediatric nurse, came a little body too wrangled. Too broken to save and the parent's screaming would erupt.
And it wouldn't stop. Not while they processed the legalities and certainly not after. She'd seen the couples, the single dads and moms, all at different stages of life clinging to each other as their eyes ran red and empty, staring and staring at the unmoving body. And the emptiness would stay for long after. Years. And May found that it never faded.
The weighted feeling of grief would stay with her after each shift ended, her vow hardening in her head. I will not have kids. Because she knew she wouldn't survive it. She couldn't endure the hoarse voice from crying her days away, the numbness in her actions as time blurred. The longing of feeling the little life in her hands before realising each time that it was snuffed out.
She couldn't handle that. So she wouldn't.
Perhaps it was this part of her life that brought forth the ugly thoughts in the late shameful hours of the night. Lock the door. Tell him to stay home for the night. Do his homework. Anything. Anything else that would keep him safe and here and home and not half dead. But each time she would breathe and reel her thoughts in. Peter was strong and repeatedly reassured her that he wasn't fighting anyone he couldn't handle. Spider-Man could handle a mugging or robbery.
But could May handle it? Seeing him hurt? Not knowing where he is or if he's okay or if he needs help? Hers or someone else's. How would she know if one of these days he got too hurt; too much for his healing and he was crying and in pain.
She'd remember his big glasses and toothy smiles and tears would double.
Could May handle it after all? To see her little boy in pain and at ultimate depths of suffering?
Turns out she never had to at all.
Because the only time Peter was as hurt as May feared he would be, it was after she was gone.
scarlet johannson did not spend an entire decade fighting tooth and nail to make natasha into an actual character instead of the sex object writers wanted her to be while also having to endure the most vile, misogynistic questions during press tours for people to now disrespect her legacy because yelena is 'better'. the only reason why that is, is because of everything scarlet went through. natasha singlehandedly paved the way for every other female superhero in the mcu and don't you forget that
Reblogging cuz that's so true
Irondad and spiderson fic readers — what fic tropes or stories are you looking for?? I’m gonna start writing again and would love some extra ideas!
Anything that doesn't potray Peter like a sad kitten. Like yea he's babygirl but he's also a hero with a strong moral compass and even stronger will.
Also something with Peter clocking Tony's shit regularly. Just casually disecting his self destructive patterns lol
I feel that the most devastating part about Piper's story is that she'll never know that the Avengers were truly her family.
Her notion that the Avengers were her team(family) was brutally shattered and she'll never look at it the same way. Every act of kindness that once felt like home was soured.
Interns. That's all they were.
Heroes when convenient.
Kids otherwise.
Never off the team. Never fully on it either.
But was that all it had been? Each coffee that appeared besides Piper, each pop culture reference that Bruce tried to understand from Peter, every secret smirk Nat passed her when she made a particularly good remark, each laugh she drew out of Steve. Was that all out of care?
Or was it something far worse. Pity.
She'll never know that the children Steve and Tony found, who wandered into the compound with hesitance, but managed to make the cold place a home, were the only rays of hope in their bleak lives. She'll never know that the Parkers truly grew on the team so unexpectedly that it felt like being hit by a bus and then propelled into the sky.
She'll never know that it was real. She'll never believe it.
Morgan’s paternal family is a sore subject she grows to avoid. There’s some safe zone in between recognizing the name of her father and not recognizing it that nobody ever quite manages to stay in. Some are overenthusiastic about the Stark name, some forced neutral. But they’re always so busy trying to decide which side of the line that they’re on that they forget to react to the “was”. “My dad was Tony Stark”. Because he was, but he’s not anymore. He’s not her dad, and he hasn’t been for a while. No matter how good it was for the world, it wasn’t good enough for her. Not for what she deserved. She didn’t ask for the savor of the world as a dad, but thats what she got. And now she gets to visit a grave on fathers day and pretend she knows more about Tony Stark than the view at his memorial site.
Happy Father’s day, Morgan Stark. Your father did the best he could and I’m sorry that it wasn’t what you deserved.
Wow, i thought I was going to go to sleep happy. My bad
Steve had no idea whether pain was the only thing waiting for Piper in whatever future remained.
He only knew one thing with absolute certainty: If there was anything else still left in this world for her—one laugh she hadn't laughed yet, one person she hadn't met, one ordinary Tuesday that didn't hurt quite so much--then he would sit beside her through a thousand dawns if that was what it took for her to reach it.
And if she couldn't believe in that future yet... Well, then he would just have to believe enough for both of them.
Until she either borrowed the hope back or told him, with that infuriating dry wit of hers, that his knees were too loud to make a decent guardian angel.

An excerpt from the far FAR future in my fic. Cuz @misswritealot inspired me with the little snippet of Mel and Steve. Thank you. Cuz, I too love doomed father daughter relationships.
And Piper and Steve is AS DOOMED AS IT GETS.
Because I am a sucker for Doomed Father Daughter relationships, and its the ocassion, wrote a little something.
“Okay now press control C” a squeaky voice said, guiding Steve’s big hands on the keyboard.
“Alright…what does that do??” Steve asks, looking at the 12 year old girl sitting on his leg.
“It copies the text” The girl says with a lisp, adjusting her flower hair band.
Steve nods,as if understanding what she means. “Okay…what next???” He says, gripping the mouse,Mel’s tiny hands on his, guiding him.
“Now….click….and….control v” the little girl says, guiding his fingers on the keyboard.
The text on the screen gets pasted, making Steve exclaim in surprise.
“Wow” he muttered in awe.
“Good job” Mel says, nodding like a very proud teacher. “You are doing very well,Mr Rogers”
“You are a genius, kid….” Steve said, resting his chin on her head lightly, the flower of her hairband tickling his nose. “What next??”
“Nothing. You should perfect this first.” she said in a serious tone.
Steve smiles a little before nodding, “Yes ma’am. Will do.”
Mel nods, getting off his leg. “My fees” she demands, extending her hand, moving it in a grabby motion.
“Oh yeah of course..” the man says, searching his jean pockets. “Here you go….” He says bringing out 3 packets of m&ms,2 lolipops and a pack of erasers with a fragrance.
“Hm…green apple…good choice” she says, examining the lollipops like they are some artifacts.
“Thankyou” Steve said, giving her a tiny smile.
“Here” she says, giving him a lollipop.
“No no no..its for you” he says, shaking his head.
“Take it. I want you to try it.” She insists.
Steve sighs. He could see the same stubborn tone he sees in Tony.
“Okay.” He says,taking it.
She grins at him,2 of her front tooth gone, eyes crinkled, like how her father’s did when he smiled for real.
Steve couldnt help but smile back.
“MISSY COME HEREEEE” Tony called from another room.
“COMING” Mel yelled back. “Bye Mr Rogers” She said, waving at him before walking away.
“Bye” Steve said,waving back.
Before the ice,he always wished to have a family. But maybe fate had a different plan. But maybe this wasnt so bad either.
Ahh poor guys. If only they knew what was to come.
ANYWAY THIS IS SO CUTSIE!!
THANKYOUUUUU
OMG I LOVE DAD STEVE AND ITS SO HARD TO FIND MORE THANK YOUUUU THIS IS SO GOOD 💕💕💕💕
Peter always knew Tony was going to die.
That was probably what made it hardest to stomach. The knowing. The lingering dread at the back of his neck that he tried so hard to ignore.
Peter recognized patterns. And he knew that everybody died eventually but there was something about the people he chose to stick to, and the people that chose to stick with him. They all had this sense of duty, responsibility, some misplaced virtue that they placed in Peter, for whatever reason. It had happened to his parents, and it had happened to Ben, and he knew Tony would be next. The clock on Peter’s grief had started the second they met, and that’s just how it was.
There was only one way that stories like this ended. It wasn’t neat. It was ugly, grief always was. Didn’t matter how long you saw it coming, it was always going to be like staring an incoming train down as you stood on its tracks.
Sooner or later, it was going to slam through. It didn’t care who was standing there, waiting for it to stop.
Okay so what the hell
