Ross' CW DC5
Let’s start with a little about Ross and his history of Hondas.
Having owned an EP2, EM1, FN2 and DC2 most recently, it’s safe to say he has owned, modified and driven 4 or 5 of Hondas most iconic Type R’s, all by the time he turned 21.
Not content with the 14 year old DC2 Ross wanted something newer with a few more creature comforts. At this point he started looking at what BMW had to offer (I know, right!?) but after a little “persuasion” from his friends *cough cough* he began the hunt for a DC5. Within a few weeks he’d placed a deposit and before we knew it we were on our way to pick the car up.
A day later, we found ourselves fitting the first mod which Ross had picked up the day before, a TegiwaM Intake. VTEC induction noise achieved, it was time to turn his hand to the suspension…
Unfortunately, since owning the car Ross has had few niggles with his suspension and geometry setup. After fitting his BC Coilovers and TGM inverted tie-rod ends he took the car to a local reputable garage for a FRSU (Fast Road Setup, to you and I). Long story short, they ended up leaving the suspension in its entirety completely loose, meaning it ruined the feet on his brand new coilovers. After weeks of the garage refusing to admit liability, Ross felt it best to take his custom elsewhere which is where TGMSport in Fleet came into the equation.
Tom at TGM advised that a FRSU would be pointless if Ross intended on changing the wheels and/or tyres in the near future, as the geometry would be thrown out once again. It was at this point that Ross decided to bite the bullet and order his new wheel and tyre combo… A set of (17x8) Enkei RPF1’s finished in satin black wrapped in massive (225/45) Bridgestone Potenza REO70’s.
Fast-forward a couple of weeks and everything has started falling into place, finally. It’s time to get the wheels and tyres fitted, arches rolled and geometry pointing in the right direction. So, after a long day at TGMSport the car was ready.
Here are the results, enjoy!

and, the car of course.
