Hey guys, we hate to be the bearer of bad news but instead of prolonging the inevitable we’ll just come out and say it. Us mods have decided that the best course of action to take BoF right now is to close it down. In between our personal lives and other commitments, we haven’t been able to give as much time and focus on the group as we’d have liked.
However that being said, we are planning to revamp Blood Over Faction to reopen at a later date. We’ve already been mulling over fresh ideas we can throw into the mix and I can tell you now that we’re all already extremely excited about it.
Our decision to revamp came from the fact that two of our mods have been swamped with college and personal life, and our other mod won’t be available towards the next coming months. This just seemed to be the best course of action for us right now, and we do apologise for being so abrupt with this matter.
As a side note, just because we’re closing doesn’t mean you guys have to stop roleplaying with each other. If you wanted to continue using these characters for fun by all means go ahead, after all we know how close our little family had gotten in such a short time.
For the time being we’ll throw up where you can find us if you wanted to stay in contact with us in the OOC blog, and we welcome you all to do the same if you felt so inclined.
And last but not least, we’d like to thank each and every one of our members that have stuck with us; that have made this as enjoyable as we had hoped it to be, and just for making it an awesome group to be a part of. We couldn’t have gotten this far without such dedicated members and we honestly couldn’t have asked for a better group of people<3
Until next time, Tash, Rachel, and Alex.
I’m sad to read this, because I was having such a good time here! I’m going to keep Cami around, and I hope and wait for the revamp ;)
Ain’t that the truth.
Whats really funny is the customers reactions to you, Marcels is by far the best I’ve seen yet. Most people think i should be in Candor because i speak my mind, but that’s not the same think as truth.
Of course. I said it, so it must be.
Marcel is kind of funny. Just don't tell him I said that! It's fun to tease him a bit.
"You have got to be kidding me. I saw what just happened back there!"
I really don't follow you. You mean serving a minor, like I just did? Come on, you're not going to make trouble over that, aren't you?
I do. Despite all of its flaws Amity is my home, and now its changing for the better.
I always get a laugh working with you behind the bar. Its good to have someone who wont lie to you about anything. And you know i’ll listen to you and try to help.
We'll get through this. The world is getting better, we just have to believe in that, or we'd go crazy...
Ok, I have to admit it can be kind of funny. Alcohol in combination with honesty can lead to some hilarious situation. And I honestly think the truth brings you far. I'd never lie to you... That's the only way I can tell of someone actually needs help.
Don’t say that to me. Please…you’ve no idea what is means.
Maybe you should explain it to me then? I'm willing to listen...
That proves that you belong in Candor Cami, thats also a reason why i hired you.
I know... do you have any idea how it feels to finally feel like you really belong somewhere? That's how it felt when I came to Candor. It was amazing...
O, you love to have someone behind the bar who says all kind of true, but embarassing things to customers? Just joking, I know I can tell you what's on my mind...
"I know a lot of people in this town that would’ve just let me stand out there and freeze to death," She honestly replied. She wasn’t lying, but she didn’t share the other side of the coin which was that she also knew a lot of people in that town that would help her. She got a little bit curious about which faction Camille belonged to, so she just went right ahead and asked. "Are you in Abnegation? Or Amity?" she was just guessing, there was of course a chance that Camille was just a normal human being with a heart. "But yes, I definitely feel the same. If you need any help with cleaning this place up in a bit, I’ll gladly help. Think of it as me returning the favor. The tea is good, the blanket is warm and the company is excellent," she smiled. She actually wanted to help, too, not just because she felt somewhat obligated to do so, it would also go faster if they did it together. She sipped from the tea again. "Nora.. Ellie.. Who cares? As long as it’s got something to do with my name, it’s completely fine. Yeah, I’m still in school."
"I don't believe that..." She stood up from the couch, knowing that she had to do something if she wanted to get home after the storm. "Maybe you've just met the wrong people, but I'm sure a lot of people won't let anyone stand out there in the rain. And yes, of course there are always the assholes who will do that, but they're just not worth it. Who have you met, that you became so negative?" She grabbed a towel, deciding that the bar was most in need of cleaning up. If she wouldn't manage the chairs, that wouldn't be a disaster, but Sophie really wanted everything to be clean. She was right to want that, though. "I'm Candor, actually...", she responded while she started doing the last dishes. "You don't have to belong to the factions you named, just to help someone out. Other people are capable of doing that as well. Where are you from? Not from Candor, obviously, or I would have recognized you." She looked at the girl who started to get some colour on her face again, "Only if you feel like it, I wouldn't want you to catch a cold because you helped me... but those chairs need to go with the tables..." It would absolutely help. She didn't know how long the rain would keep falling, but it never could be long. And then she would be able to get home as well. "I've had worse company as well, I have to admit. I like the sound of Nora... so Nora it is then!"
That’s the only serum that has any productive use. I’d only use it on criminals honestly. I believe that the fewer serums there are the better our city is off.
That's what I meant. I've had enough of it during my initiation. It's not like I need it to tell the truth...that's something completely natural. And sometimes very inconvenient.
Screw you.
Good luck getting home.
Fine! I'll find my way out...
I think everyone who wanted to tell the truth ended up like me, dosed up on the serum. Unlike me though they stayed quiet after a few doses. And for the most part we are friendly, just now its not so forced. We are free to speak our opinions.
Ugh... I'd so hate that. It sounds a lot better now, though. Being friendly is good, it just should come natural, not because of serums... but I guess that goes for everything... Although I can see the use of truth serum now and then.
Para: Camille + Kira - Comfort
The bar had been quiet, so Sophie had told her she could go home. Cami didn't make her say that twice. As much as she loved her job, it had been a busy week, and the time off was very welcome. After she had been totally lost, a few nights ago, she hadn't dared to wander home again, as she so loved to do, afraid she'd end up somewhere unknown in the middle of the night again. She had walked straight home, but she already started to miss her walks, the fresh air, the time alone.
Today she took her chance. It was still light outside, there was time enough before dark, so she walked in the opposite direction of the Candor section. The day was beautiful, the sun was shining, a light breeze lifted the hair of her shoulders, and she hadn't felt this good in days. Suddenly she heard a sound, and saw a girl walking in the opposite direction. Even though she hadn't really paid attention on what was happening around her, it was clear that the girl wasn't feeling good.
Cami could see the traces of tears on her face, a face that was clearly visible because of the bun on the back of her head. That, in combination with the clothes made clear she was Abnegation. Even though Cami tried not to mingle in the affairs of her old faction, she couldn't help herself. The girl looked so shocked, so sad that she couldn't let her go on alone. She wasn't used to seeing Abnegation look like this, so she had the feeling something was really wrong.
She walked over to her, put a hand on her arm. "Hey... are you okay? Do you need help?"
Destroyed. It was horrible, I believe i was the only Amity that was willing to speak up. Even though i knew what would happen, It was a price that i was willing to pay. The funny thing is that a majority of the Faction had no clue about the bread.
They're really gone, aren't they? Or do you think those explosions at Erudite could have something to do with that? And was there really no one else? That's just nuts. There must be more people wanting to tell the truth, musn't there? Or did they all end up with us? How does that work out with you guys right now, without the bread? Still as friendly as ever?
It’s not. It’s making sure no-one gets killed.
Talking about not getting killed. Let’s get you out of here.
Talking about an epic failure then...
Good idea... I... I think I need to get home. Which direction is it?
We’re trained to defend people. Knowing how to fight is only part of it.
And you first need to tell me where your home is.
Defending... fighting... it's still awfully close to killing, if you ask me. Which you are clearly not doing...
I need to get to the Candor faction. Even I should be able to find my way from there.
I’m glad the did away with it. I always hated the idea that Amity was given a serum to induce happiness, but every time i spoke up i had to eat the bread. It was just a lesser form of brainwashing.
You're kidding right? You weren't even allowed to say something or they'd drug you? That's terrible! I mean, being happy is fine, but being forced to be happy... I'd hate it as well! At least that's one good thing that came out of all the drama. All those serums...
No, I don’t remember anything! We’re trained to be protectors. Not killers. We’re no murder machines. We’re no machines at all. Just like everyone else we’re human.
Just forget what I said, okay? Let me get you out of here.
I... I didn't realise that. But you are trained to fight, aren't you? Or it would never have been that... that easy...
Ok... this is only getting uncomfortable... How do I get home?
