in July last year i watched Connor’s VOD for his Bioshock 1 and 2 streams and he mentioned that it would be fun to see fanart of Mouse as a Big Daddy and his Monke as the Little Sister. so i did it to the best of my abilities :)

wow guys sorry for disappearing like that. unfortunately i’ve been busy adulting and worrying abt the state of the world. anyways, i turned 21 this week!! i made a quick drawing of me and Dimitri from FE3H, since i haven’t had the chance to celebrate with a party or anything like that yet ;D
I'm back with my thoughts about last week. god, i can’t believe it was only a week ago. I'll do my best to make this coherent, but I'm writing through a haze of burnout, hopelessness, and anxiety.
I haven't read the news for nearly a week now and I know there's so much more to discuss. But I'll only be talking/ranting about my immediate first impressions of Elon Musk's abhorrence.
America has elected white supremacist authorities transparently masquerading as a fanatical, cultish "political ideology" with a certain Orange Man as their Messiah deity.
I think Elon Musk's salute proves this. It was one of the worst things to come from the inauguration.
This single gesture- repeated twice with such giddy confidence, determination, and joy-empowers white supremacy and fuels every single type of hate and discrimination. The first time, it was to demonstrate oneness with the crowd of white men; the second, for their Great Leader, swearing undying, unquestioning loyalty.
And its effects were only multiplied by the inauguration occurring on MLK Jr Day. Many may call it a coincidence, but I think every Republican present was gleefully and vividly aware.
(And somewhat of a side note: I can only pray that Orange Man will not drive us into protest, riots, anc revolts to match the conflict of Civil War. I can only pray this country won't split and collapse in on itself.)
Frankly, I'm just hoping the people I love won't be victims of hate crimes in the next few months. At any other point in history, this might be a pessimistic overreaction. But now? It's a sobering, terrifying thought to think it might come true. We can only drown in this sea of festering capitalism, homophobia, and racism. An agonizingly slow downfall of personal freedoms and inherent rights (because let's be real, those are the only ones Trump is interested in taking away).
For the first time in years, I genuinely asked myself if I would be better off dead. But no. I have to outlive the bastard out of vitriol and spite. And I need to make sure my loved ones live through his reign, too.
If you've read this far, thanks for hearing me out. I haven't really been on the internet since last week when all this shit went down, so idk how everyone feels abt this too. I tend to be pretty pessimistic, but that might save me in the long run. With Trump in charge, I'll never be surprised as long as I never expect anything but the worst :D (right? right??)
