I have decided to read the utter mishandling of Rhaena and removal of Nettles as not incompetence and stupidity, but active malice on the side of hotd's showrunners.

there's only so much fumbling the arcs of women, POC, and the smallfolk you can do before everybody starts assuming active malicious intent.

hotd is not a feminist show. hotd is not a diverse show.

hotd is not even an antiwar pro-smallfolk show it was supposed to be.

hotd is a show where Condall gets to fetishize his mommy issues without pushback and have women graphically sexually and physically harassed all day every day all the while they, POCs, and smallfolk are gutted of motivation, character and impact--and god forbid you commit the unforgivable sin of being a smallfolk POC woman with an arc vital to the message the story wants to send.

For the FINALE, we got minimal dragon stuff even though there's 4 of them there. We wasted all the budget on jumping Sheepstealer probably, huh?

Genuinely, good grief, the one thing I didn't think was possible was being BORED during the battle episode and they managed it.

Roderick is fun, as always, and poor Helaena, other than that, nothing about this hypes me up for s4, it actually makes me relieved this weekly humiliation ritual of all the characters is over.

And before you harp on at me, WHY ARE YOU WATCHING, because I thought it would be FUN or INTERESTING to see the time period with the most dragons on screen, ok? And the time period when genuinely all sides suck balls and you root for no one?

But no, I am bored 90% of the time and it didn't have to be that way at all. GoT was mostly talking and it was immensely entertaining to watch, this is nowhere near that.
