one thing that kind of gives the game away wrt far right attitudes against birthright citizenship is that it's the very fact that "old world" countries like france for example don't have birthright citizenship that leads to second and third generation immigrants there becoming more radicalized and like joining ISIS or committing terrorist attacks or something and ofc you will never have any american right winger acknowledge this
what i mean here is that without birthright citizenship, you would probably not lessen immigration but instead automatically create an underclass of people who live in the country who are stateless which, if you claim to care about “safety” and “public order”, would be a disaster bc you’d immediately have a new class of people ripe for radicalization.
not that this isn't obvious, but this was a desperate and frankly very stupid attempt to decrease and ultimately prevent the immigration of non-white people, which was not only a disgusting thing to attempt but also a total logical impossibility. no matter how much matt walsh shits his diaper about it, there have always been nonwhite people in the united states and there always will be.
