You don't pay a lot of attention to Splinter's complaints, usually. More often than not, they're either unreasonable, such as when he's threatening to call up the channel streaming his favourite show for putting too many ad breaks in between, or simply depressing to listen to for long, the ramblings of a frustrated former Hollywood star.
Even now, when he groans, rubbing a hand over his face in exasperation, claws pricking his skin, you're busy otherwise, focusing instead on the way Leo's fingers draw small circles and heart shapes onto the back of your hand. His skin is pleasantly cool to the touch, though now warmed where you're pressed against him.
Somewhere to the side, Donnie and Raph are bickering, tones haughty versus frustrated; Splinter huffs in exasperation. "I will never marry any of them off."
The words still catch your attention. Your head snaps up, blinking, staring at Splinter, whose attention has already returned to the TV as though his carelessly chosen words haven't just shaken your entire world.
It's easy to imagine yourself in a white dress. To think of flowers and cake, some time to unwind after the stress of the last months.
It's too easy to fantasise about walking down the aisle, literal or not — you'd say 'yes' at Hueso's if he'd ask —, meeting in a finalising kiss.
You have to snap out of it. Already, your face feels oddly hot, and your stomach flutters despite the lack of anything actually happening. It's just a daydream, and you're not eight years old anymore.
You turn to face Leo and find he's already looking at you.
"You were so thinking about it."
Immediately, your face flushes with warmth. "What? No way. I don't even know what you're talking about."
"You so were." His grin stretches. "C'mon, you can admit it. You want that Hamato name."
You sputter, flustered enough to struggle with forming the proper sentence; "You're being stupid. Shut up."
Leo snickers, leaning closer until your faces threaten to touch, the entire side of his body flush with yours. "Am I? 'Cause I know I'd like that a lot." At some point, he's lowered his voice, and it feels horribly more intimate immediately. "Don't tell me you'd actually reject me if I were to propose."
"I mean", you choke out, brows drawn together in a frown, "That's not what I said, but Leo—"
"Yeah?"
"This is all very sudden."
His grin doesn't fade nor twitch, but you suddenly sense a hint of vulnerability in his expression, and you can't tell if he's joking anymore. "Is it? I've been looking for rings for weeks now, babe."
Your breath catches in your throat. With how secretive April has been, you actually believe him.
It takes a few seconds to steady your voice again. "I never said I'd say 'no'." Your hand comes up to cup his cheek; Leo leans to nuzzle into your palm, eyes still firmly on yours, and your smile gains a mischievous edge. "Though for anything more than that you'll have to actually try it. I'm not spoiling my engagement reaction."

The stark dichotomy between the Leo you know, your reliable best friend, your hype man, the one who nuzzles into your neck when refusing to let go of you and get up in the morning, and the Leo currently underneath you is startling.
You've seen this side of him before, of course. With Donnie during the Lair Games — "Second place, huh? What's that feel like?"—, with Mikey, whenever the two of them get lost in some essentially stupid competition, aching to prove everything through proving nothing. It's just never been directed at you before.
"What, tired already? Come on, you gotta put in some effort, babe."
The sleazy grin he's wearing is the same he's had when ordering his brothers to stand in honour of the five time champ while he speaks, arrogant humour bleeding through. Back then, you barely managed to stifle a giggle — Leo still noticed, practically beaming at making you laugh —, the high of your boyfriend being the best and being aware of it thrilling, leaving you to swoon a bit more than you'd ever admit.
Naively, you assumed you'd never be at the receiving end of his mean side. Past you was a fool.
"Are you, though?" Leo drawls, absentmindedly tracing patterns onto the curve of your hip. When his touch skates over your abdomen, you suck in a trembling breath. "Because I'm not seeing a lot of moving or bouncing. Thought you said you wanted to ride me and, what? Make me cry from pleasure? The only one crying here is you, sweetheart."
"I am", you snap, voice sharp and thighs trembling. Your nails dig into his shoulders and you hope they leave marks. "I am putting in effort. Help me out or be quiet."
At the time, you didn't take his brothers' frustration seriously. Now, you get their urge to make him pay.
You grit your teeth, jaw tense. Your eyes are definitely not watering. "This is harder than it looks."
Leo pauses mid-movement to level you a flat look. "I hope you appreciate how much self-restraint it's takin' me not to make that joke right now."
You hate him, and tell him as much.
It gets you a laugh in response, wheezing. "Sure you do", Leo croons, sitting up straighter, back against the headboard, and you choke on a moan as it jostles his dick inside of you. "Now c'mon. I wanna see you do this."
Your legs ache and you've barely started; oh, you're so choking on your bold claims from before, having severely underestimated how exhausting actually doing the work is. You're used to Leo on top of you, rutting into you with warrior's stamina, not showing even a hint of exhaustion. This is — well. A full gym session with Raph would be easier.
Holding onto his biceps for stability, you rise up on your knees, whimpering when only the tip stays in, then sink down again, body shaking with the strain. This shouldn't be this tiring. You occasionally work out in your free time, damn it—
Repeating the motion makes you whine low in your throat, sweat beading on your forehead. Your knees feel weak. When you move just right, he hits a spot inside that makes you clench, pleasure sparking up your spine, though when you shift again, muscles unwilling to support you for long, the rush of endorphins disappears.
At least Leo's also affected. When you take a moment to pay attention, he's trembling, plastron heaving. Your eyes drag up to his face, expecting flushed cheeks and the tense set of his jaw he gets whenever he's close, wanting evidence that this is good for him, too — only to be severely disappointed.
He's laughing at you.
Shaking with barely restrained wheezes, Leo's eyes are squeezed shut, his grin wide enough to make your blood boil. Pointedly, you rake your nails down the tough skin of his arms, barely leaving shallow welts that you know are bound to heal in literal seconds.
"I hate you so much." You both know you don't mean it, could never, but you force your glare into fierceness nonetheless. "I'm doing my best here; what are you contributing, exactly?"
"Sorry, sorry." Leo nearly chokes on a chuckle. "It's just — jeez, that looks near painful. Like you're actually suffering. Guess you're destined to be a pillow princess, huh?"
You scoff, though, by now, the idea of passing the exhausting part to him is not unappealing. You've proven your point, or at the very least tried to; the frustration of this not getting anywhere, arousal merely simmering underneath your skin, is overwhelming.
"You're not funny." A pause. "Whatever. Just get on with it."
Leo's grin turns sharp. "Bossy. I like it." At your eyeroll, he blows you a kiss, and bucks his hips up. His hands hold tight onto your torso, pulling you down at the same time; your spine arches, head falling back with a moan. You'll never get used to the pace he sets, strength effortless.
His grip shifts, wrist bending just so his thumb gets to draw tight circles around your clit while also keeping you in place, and, alright, you think, maybe you can forgive him for being annoying and arrogant after all.
Credit where credit is due. He's the best at making you feel good.

hi everyone. we're writing for a new fandom now.
Anakin's jealousy is a firestorm raging on Mustafar; it's the lethal tides of Kamino and the unforgiving heat of Tatooine. It's both ablaze and freezing; the ice running through his veins at the idea of you entertaining someone else is chilling to the bone, even for the Hero with No Fear, and his anger burns all the brighter. He spends about two seconds contemplating not bringing it up to you, but you can tell his emotions right from the start anyway — and he only relaxes slightly when your palm finds his cheek, soothing.
"It's— fine. You know what, actually, no, it's not. I saw you and that guy, talking, and what right does he have to touch you, anyway? Should've told him that right then and there, but I can't—"
He's not fond of your secret relationship anyway, wishes it could be public, normal, the way it'd be if he wasn't a Jedi, but the added stress of some guy thinking you're single while he's in your vicinity, unable to do anything to avoid causing suspicion, has him tense. He knows you wouldn't cheat — right? —, but the topic upsets him greatly, and his hurt emotions only melt away when he gets to lay his head on your lap and you thread your fingers through his hair.

Obi-Wan is by far the most relaxed when it comes to jealousy issues. He has no issues with you talking to a stranger, or having a friendly chat with a colleague, or going out to an event with a friend; those are all normal interactions, and he's happy you have a flourishing social life. Still, if you get too comfortable with someone, he's irked. He doesn't mean to be, Jedi are above petty emotions like that, surely, but he doesn't like that he can clearly sense romantic intentions aimed at you and he can do nothing but watch.
He's not the type for open conflict; besides, he doesn't have much right to be upset. Still, if you're attuned to his moods, you'll notice the slight strain in his smile right away. Luckily, he's easily reassured. He trusts you completely, after all.
"I could tell I was overreacting, which is precisely why I did not mean to bring it up. I trust you. ..Still, thank you for reassuring me. You know how emotions are."

Maul's abandonment issues stem from actual experience and aching loneliness rather than simple possessiveness. He's used to being alone, and has only gotten used to being around you, with you, that the sudden fear of losing you and returning to solitude has him near paralysed. He respects you too much to confront you, but seeing you get along so well with one of the Mandalorian mercenaries he pays has him in a bad mood. He sulks and gets more closed off, subconsciously choosing to abandon before he's abandoned.
"I am faring all right. There's no need to be worried. No, I am not upset. There is nothing we need to talk about. Go on, instead go and talk to your admirer."
He's pouting. He'd rather die than ask for it, but he needs reassurance badly. Once you mention you have no interest in anyone other than him, he's quickly soothed again and forgives almost immediately, nearly dizzy with relief.

Darth Vader, unlike Anakin, has no reason to act restrained. No one would dare to even speak to you, knowing you're his — usually, but there's always one new recruit, eager to serve the Empire and even more eager to get to know you, that'll meet an undesirable fate eventually. The second he notices someone chatting you up, his fist closes, and the guy is lifted off the ground and claws desperately at his throat, trying, begging, silently pleading —
and the body dropping to the floor hopefully doesn't bother you too much. He's not too concerned by what you think about him killing out of possessiveness; he'll make it up to you later, if you're truly upset.
"I'll give you a planet. An entire system, if that's what it takes to make you stop sulking. Don't tell me you actually wanted that fool to talk to you."
And, well. He loves you, is devoted to you, but you better respond correctly to that accusation to prove you're just as devoted to him.
The moment you fall sick, DAZAI gets all the more annoying, obnoxious to the core as he whines about how unfair it is that you're sick and he's not — translating to “that you don't have to go to work and he does”. He might just use your sickness as an excuse to stay at home himself; after all, when you're in this critical of a condition, he has to be by your side at all times, right? Just in case of an emergency. Surely Kunikida and the President agree.
Taking care of others or even of himself isn't what he's particularly good at, though he will pretend to be absolutely certain about cuddling being a certain cure for any illness. If you threaten to give him the cold shoulder otherwise, he'll also go to the pharmacy and buy you medication, though he will either complain about it, or he'll play it up to be his God-given mission to save his stunning girlfriend's life.
“Hm? What do you mean, bella? Of course I've got the President's 'okay' for staying at home. Taking care of you is most important, after all, don't you agree? .. Don't be mean, I am taking care of you. I made you tea just now, didn't I?"
CHŪYA really doesn't like it whenever you're sick. While he's faced a handful of way more threatening situations before, he can't help but worry when you whine about your head hurting and your throat aching, about your stomach acting up or your vision blurring. It's not his fault that you're on his mind all day — he just wants you to be well. Is that too much to ask for?
Naturally, that translates to him being awfully good when it comes to him nursing you back to health. He wouldn't describe himself as a natural caretaker, but he is, in a way; he's protective and caring by nature, and he makes sure you're relatively well before he leaves for work every day. You don't just get the best medication on the market, but also energising meals made by him with the help of authentic recipes from elderly women he found online. To not fully lose his image, he half-heartedly complains occasionally, though his words are immediately redeemed by his beaming smile when he notices you're faring better.
“Jeez, that's one annoying cold you've got. It's been, what, like two weeks now and it's still not gone. Whatever. I've found this new soup recipe, though. It looks promising enough, doesn't it? I'll try to make it for dinner.”
RANPO admittedly is rather bad at taking care of you. To be blunt, he much prefers it when you coddle and spoil him, not the other way around, though he tries in his own ways — which mostly include sharing his snacks with you and being near you despite the risk of getting infected himself.
Unfortunately, you're not spared from his usual honesty; when you look downright awful, dark circles underneath your eyes, he will tell you just that. If you flake out on any dates the two of you had planned previously, he will whine, but at least he won't hold a grudge. While he's not particularly committed to being a caretaker, he at least stays by your side and brings you medicine and painkillers.
“You should eat more, y'know. Yes, I know you're nauseous. You've said so about twenty times already. You won't feel any better until you eat and drink enough, though. That's common sense.”
Naturally, FYODOR is more than simply good at taking care of you whenever you fall ill. With his age, it's no wonder that he has quite some experience and knows of many ways to heal you, though some of them might include disgusting homebrewed potions. You're best of just not asking what they're made of if you want to have any chance in downing them.
Unfortunately, his approach to helping you regain your health is more clinical than loving. He takes wonderful care of you, but he's not the type to cuddle with you and whisper sweet nothings in your ear while you're sneezing and coughing. If you ask sweetly enough, however, he might just read you a bedtime story or two.
“What is it, dear? I was just going to get you a new glass of water. .. Ah, I see. Do you really want me to stay that badly? Alright, then. Though me remaining by your side won't give you an excuse to skip taking your medication.”
It's no surprise whatsoever that NIKOLAI is not the most caring guy, simply put, and he might just tease you about being sick throughout the whole ordeal. He can't help it; you glaring at him, exhausted and sneezing, makes him giggle. Still, he's not all bad — he revels all the more in your surprised expression when he presents you with homemade soup, a family recipe, or so he tells you, and he smiles, content, when you admit that it tastes rather lovely.
With his ability, it's easy for him to get whatever you might need, whether that's food or a cup of tea or a bucket to throw up in, from the kitchen without moving from your bedside, so be prepared to spend quite a lot of time with him in the next few days — or weeks. Though, luckily, he's there to entertain you, not the other way around; when you say you want to curl up and just sleep the sickness off, he'll just keep watch next to you, silent and calm. After all, he does want you to feel better.
“Hmm, what did you say? You like my cooking? I'm honoured, doll! You're too kind! How about a quiz about what I put in there — poison, carrots, red beet, or all three? Ah, not feeling up for it, are you? What a shame. It's all three, if you're curious. I'm just kidding, of course. Don't you worry your pretty little head.”
SIGMA is the best choice for who to go to when ill. Not only is he kind and caring, he's also responsible and organised and, if you follow every step he tells you — eat his home-cooked soup, drink this medicine, sleep for as much as possible, take hot or cold compresses, inhale water with herbal essences —, you'll be at full health again in no time.
Even though he unfortunately can't stay at home all day to be by your side — duties at the casino call, even though he'd much rather not go —, he tries to spend as much time as possible with you, telling you about what has happened that day and how much he looked forward to being home with you again while your eyes flutter closed. When you've almost fallen asleep, his lips gently press against your forehead, even if that means he risks getting sick himself.
“Are you feeling better yet? No? Well, that's to be expected. It's only been a day, after all. I've brought you some more medicine, as well as some soup. Here, give it a taste, will you?”

“You have awfully pretty eyes.”
The words spill from your lips so very easily; after all, they're the truth. Leaning against him with one hand on his shoulder, your faces mere centimeters apart, you're able to get a particularly good look at just how stunning they are, shining in blue and yellow.
“Thanks.” Nikolai's smile is a little too wide, fraying at the edges. “You're supposed to concentrate on my makeup, though. Don't lose focus, now.”
You scoff. “I can multi-task just fine.” As if to prove your words, you add more mascara to his lashes, movements slow and gentle. “See?”
“I always do your makeup so carefully, though.” He pushes his lips forward into a pout, entirely too dramatic. “At least give the same effort back. Otherwise you're mean, you know?”
“I am making an effort”, you protest, eyebrows knitting together in mock unhappiness, “It literally looks so good. Take a look yourself if you don't believe me, but it's not like I didn't do just fine on your other eye.”
Nikolai merely hums in response — though that at least means he's not complaining anymore. Instead, the atmosphere shifts into something peaceful. Your palm cups his cheek, gently holding it to stop him from moving and messing your work up, and he leans into the touch, more cat than person.
Black goes with the colour scheme of his chosen outfit; it's a reasonable first guess, although Nikolai sighs as though it is not.
The quiet does not last for long; only until after you've peppered some glitter onto his lids.
“Quiz time”, Nikolai sing-songs, white bangs falling into his face as he moves, “What colour of eyeliner do you think I want to wear today?”
“Wrong. A shame. Ah, but — you know what? I'll let you guess again. Aren't I kind?”
“Very.” You squint at him, your head tilted to the side in a curious manner. It's not like there's an overwhelming amount of options; red and white are his other two most used colours, and white is closest. You pick mostly by random.
Nikolai makes a triumphant noise; before you're able to reach for the corresponding pen, he presses his lips to yours, the gloss on them sticky. You let out a soft noise, eyes fluttering shut, though he's already pulling back again, smirk mischievous.
“Continue, sweetheart.”
Jerk.
Still, you drag the felt tip over his eyelids, going for a cat-eye look; the very moment you're done, a mirror suddenly appears between the two of you, the power of The Overcoat, and Nikolai coos at his reflection, apparently in awe.
You try your best not to feel too smug. It's rather difficult when he's literally swooning. Then, sharp eyes snap back to you, determination sparking inside.
“Alright; it's my turn, now. Lean back, doll.”
