clovis rly is a force to be reckoned with though .... like, they might not seem like all that to new campers / people who haven’t met them before, if only because they don’t. really train like the other demigods and don’t look particularly physically threatening or intimidating, but man. i mean, if them just innocently yawning can cause people to become drowsy / start to fall asleep, do you know how much damage they could cause if they actually and consciously used their powers in battle? kid could probably send half the camp into eternal slumber with a snap of their fingers and act like it was nothing. not to mention, they can literally bring back lost memories, which implies that they could also muffle certain memories, too. y’all are lucky they got a soft heart, good intentions, and are too sleepy to be a villain, because they could really fuck some folks up

let it be known that although clovis is incredibly friendly and a very warm person, they do struggle with attachment issues / the fear of getting too close. this stems from the death of their parents, which they inadvertently caused during a very stressful situation that roundhouse kicked their powers into full effect, and though they’re worried about slipping up in general, they’re particularly anxious when it comes to those they care about, as they understandably fret about history repeating itself.

clovis, like their father, is represented by poppies. they hold a deep connection to the flora, aside from its (possibly) most well-known meaning, which is restful sleep. poppies are also symbols of consolation / loss, recovery, peaceful death, and resurrection (all dependent on color), the first two currently being the most relevant in clovis’ life.

in their dreams, you can frequently find poppies, whether it be as blatant as in a field or as subtle as a simple bouquet in a vase, and they are the one thing clovis doesn’t consciously manipulate or will into existence. they tend to leave them in their wake as well, and it isn’t uncommon to find the bright, multiple-colored flowers in your own dreams after clovis passes on through or by.
