Obsession (2026) is about why women choose the bear in the viral "would you rather be left alone with a man or bear in the forest?" hypothetical. Even a man that claims to love this woman- who was her friend, keeps her hostage and takes full advantage of the situation in which she has no control, knowing that she has no control- and SHE is left with the full consequences of HIS actions. She will have to live haunted and blamed for the death of him, and their two friends, she will be tried and prosecuted as her fingerprints are all over the final scene. She will be charged an insane criminal where the last things most anyone else saw of her would be described as a mental break during a party out of jealousy.

She has to live knowing a friend she cared for took advantage of her. The TRAUMA of all of it. He will never have to take responsibility for any of his actions' consequences.

Ironically, the man in this scenario is also nicknamed "Bear" and even more ironically, it is what helps add to this supposed image of safety and comfort he wants to project to the friend group, and especially Nikki.
