❝Do you always answer a question with a question?❞
“... No?” Even that came out sounding more like a question than an answer. “I mean, no. A definite, firm, absolute no.”

❝Dude, am I gonna have a hangover? Because I want one.❞
“Why would you want a hangover? Aren’t they terrible? --- But yes, probably. That's a lot of alcohol.”
Cash had himself perched on a branch of a tree, foot swinging as he picked at the kimbap that his dad had packed him for the trip. It was the perfect opportunity to watch girls and boys freak out about bugs and dirt alike without being in the way. However, he noticed a set of eyes focused on him to which he sent a shrug. “If you can get up here, you can have some if you want.”
Honey cast a wary gaze at the tree, and then shook her head with a small smile. “I think I’m fine, thanks,” she responded, sitting down on the ground instead and leaning her back against the trunk. She thought she was perfectly content where she was, but not before long her stomach growled -- loudly, at that -- and she cast a longing gaze upwards. “--- On second thought, I think I’ll take you up on that offer.” Climbing the tree wasn’t as difficult as it had seemed, and after a while she she sat on a branch close by, her legs swinging. “Did you make it yourself?”
Rohan let out a chuckle at her idea. “I don’t know, they could wait until we’re all asleep then come attack us while we’re asleep in our tents. I’m staying out in the open by the fire so no one can sneak up on me.”
Honey paled slightly at that prospect. “I... had not even considered that idea. On second thought, I think I’ll stay up with you. I hope you don’t mind the company,” she said, wrapping her arms around her knees.
“You don’t think there’s anything in this forest that could get us do you..?”
“What, like bears or manticores?” Honey asked, paling slightly. “No… I mean, this is frightingly like the premise of a horror movie, but… they would have arranged portkeys or something if it wasn’t safe, right?“
“I don’t know about you guys, but I’m pretty sure this is how horror movies start. Next thing you know, first years are going to go missing.”
Honey’s eyes widened comically, glad she wasn’t the only one which such thoughts. “I know! And then help mystically never arrives, and the first years are found hanging from the trees. They’ll pick us off one by one. You know, I don't think I'll dare leave my tent tonight. This really doesn't bode well.”
She had often wished for adventure, for old spells and wicked kings.
