Omg bestie I tried New Gen the day it was released and I refused to touch it again. It’s not worth my energy 😭 I’d try to tolerate the characters if the AP system wasn’t as messed up as it is. I cannot believe they made the AP system so much worse. Like… oh my god 😭😭😭 the only part of MCL I sever genuinely enjoyed was HSL. The characters are intriguing, the stories are light and fun with just a touch of spice and drama, and any dramatic plot heavy episodes were like, actually enjoyable to read. UL and LL just felt so… so boring, and New Gen I heard the stories would be better, but once I started playing I was like “ohhh… nope” after I gave it a couple of hours I decided I couldn’t do it. Sorry to ramble but your post awoke something in me for a second there jdhfjsbdjfh

I'm so sorry for only just seeing this but I completely agree with you! It's odd to me that beemov hasn't matured along with its players, at this point. It's not like it was taking place in a high school anymore... and honestly I can't even get into the pa system, which they have shockingly not changed so it's still back to being wasted through the mc's dumb thoughts for 80% of the game (which is truly a shame because it's not just about money at this point, I can't even afford to play the game again and revisit the story without being a billionaire), not to mention that they've made it even more expensive now by having us pay for the choices as well. I honestly don't understand this at all and I personally don't see this working out for them, especially not with modern audiences, but only time will tell I guess.

I don't know if anyone can relate but I tried this new game, New Gen, and what's bothering me right now is that none of the characters seem interesting to me as a person. They're all unlikeable from the moment we meet them, and rude, and our character is supposed to adapt to their rude behavior and try to make them like us like a desperate teenager instead of having them chase us for a change since this story is supposed to be more mature I expected more of that and less of "what must I do to get this rude mean boy to like me" and you know what maybe I'm too old for this but at least I tried

It's really saddening that what Beemoov did to their games. My Candy Love tag has been dead for years and same thing will happen Eldarya's too. And it is their fault that the game is in this situation. I really miss the those days and checking MCL tag everyday to see some new faces, arts and opinions about the game.

Yes, exactly! It used to be a genuine community, we had an alexy appreciation day, mcl selfie day, a nsfw day, and so many other organized activities and conversations and exchanges about the game. I miss that a lot! Beemoov really shot themselves in the foot when they changed everything, and I will never forget how we all tried to tell them what we thought of it and they either mocked us, patronized us, or just plainly ignored us. I wish they at least had the ability to try to figure out how to fix this situation but they most likely never will. All they care about now is money and that is not very appealing to anyone.
