WASN'T EXPECTING TO SEE THIS LMAO. SUPER COOL THOUGH
It’s with great pain that I must announce you were devoured by clowns.
Turn to page 14 to climb into the clowns jaws.
Turn to page 6 to turn around and walk away.

This reads like a Gaud post
Hey guys. I was walking my clown on the sidewalk today, minding my own business, when someone else who was walking their clown brought their clown over to say hello WITHOUT EVEN ASKING ME. Their clown was a much larger breed of clown than my own (some sort of sport/working breed I presume) while my clown is a much smaller "toy" breed. My clown HATES other clowns, as it is of the solitary variety, and began to panic (honking and throwing handkerchiefs out of its many orifices and pockets WILDLY in self defense). It was quite the conundrum and the other owner had the nerve to be annoyed with ME and MY CLOWN for not wanting our clowns to be "friends". Completely irresponsible and UNBELIEVABLE.
It took several hours of playing circus music and specialized Clown Treats (my clown is on a special diet recommended by the clown doctor due to his allergies) to properly calm him down. I'm glad my little guy is okay but the NERVE of some people.
Please do not approach another clown owner on the street with your clown without asking first and checking to make sure it is okay!!! Ugh!!!
sorry I’m out of breath, I just spent the last fifteen minutes herding the clowns back into their enclosures after they revolted against me and escaped their circus tents for the second time this month
Made another little freak, this one is named Scrumble :)

Can't believe I have to say this, but rodeo clowns need cowboys around to truly thrive. They need cowboys, livestock, and fresh air. Sure, your rodeo clown (or clownboy, as I like to call them) might survive in an apartment watching old westerns on TV all day, but it's the husbandry equivalent of keeping a hamster in a mason jar.

Wow y'all like scrunkle boy huh. Maybe I should make more clowns and/or give them lore or something

Not so friendly reminder to NEVER force your clown into clothing made for humans or other pets for your amusement or your “aesthetic”. It’s incredible that I even have to say this. I am so sick and tired of seeing irresponsible and abusive clown owners dressing their clowns up in outfits and accessories and putting them in environments that are not comfortable for their clowns, not to mention under-stimulating, just for the sake of getting a couple of trendy pictures to post online. And it’s ALWAYS the type of owners that buy their clowns the cheapest kibble they can find at the market or don’t provide proper enclosures for their clowns. :/
Hot take: If you can’t appreciate the natural frills that your clown was born with and feel the need to dress them up in a way that is more “flattering” to you, and you just don’t care enough to take proper care of your clown in general, then maybe you just shouldn’t have a clown. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Just a reminder that stilt clowns are circus clowns and can not be kept in enclosures for party clowns, can’t eat clown food thats strictly for party clowns such as giggles cake milk or confetti kibble and should have the proper enrichment for circus clowns.
.... pyramid clowns? Please do elaborate, m' dear
Pyramid Clowns are one of the oldest breeds of clowns known to mankind, they were discovered and first recorded in the Indus Valley Civilization at around 3500 BCE. One could have easily found them near rivers in India and Egypt, but now they are all safe in sanctuaries backed by the WCPS (World Clown Protection Society).
this is what they look like now! They have five main parts: the hat, the head, the nose, the collar, the small hocus-peri-peribus, the boing-arius pinkerum, the large hocus-peri-peribus and the lower bafoonerestine. An upper bafoonerestine used to exist (to store venom!) back when pyramid clowns needed a defense against the now extinct clowneaters, but through evolution, this feature disappeared. Clown Pyramids have the ability to separate their heads from the rest of their body for about 50-200 hours at a time! they also contain Polka-bonkei, a serotonin inducing chemical stored in their boing-arius pinkerum and store extra nutrients and water inside their collars. They are also the only breed of clown to reproduce with their clown noses!
I had briefly mentioned Clown Pyramids and what led to their endangerment in my clown eugenics post: They were taken into and selectively bred in Europe to be appealing towards the children of nobility and royalty, hence they lost their darker colour palette and shorter separation-from-the-rest-of-their-body time and adorned a brighter and more long lasting one (respectively) instead. However, their mistreatment began and got worse and worse, with them being treated as toys rather than clowns. The Honk Act of 1769 stated that certain breeds of clowns, including pyramid clowns, were not to be deemed as clowns but objects, and barred them from having basic rights. They were kept in tight cages, stretched thin, declawed (their claws were inside their hat, and they would extend it and would headbutt potential predators with it) and were overall treated horribly. This continued on and worsened up until the 1970′s, when researchers and clourologists at Cirque University noticed that clowns stopped hatching by rivers, and existing Pyramid Clowns began to decompose alive. Multiple protests were held out for the protection of Pyramid Clowns but were shut down quickly. This was the case up until 2003, when the breed was deemed endangered. This caused global panic as more and more situations of mistreatment against Pyramid Clowns (and a couple others) came to light, and on 5th November 2004, this act was finally reversed and the WCPS was finally given permission to create Pyramid Clown sanctuaries.
Now, they are slowly increasing in numbers and while they won’t be adoptable for many years to come, they are safe and spend their days without fearing for their lives. Instead, they sing show-tunes and are slowly regaining former abilities such as using their claws, reproducing and even releasing Polka-Bonkei.
Purebred vs. Mixed/Mutt Clowns
A lot of people can be very anti-purebred with both clowns and other pets, but the truth is, both types have pros and cons. Ideally, everyone would be able to adopt a rescue – but the fact is, they aren’t well suited for everyone.
PROS OF ADOPTING A MUTT
Rescuing from a kill shelter or poor situation is very noble
Gives “undesirable” clowns a second chance
Loving , just like any other clown
Much cheaper than a purebred
CONS OF ADOPTING A MUTT
Often difficult to train
Health history is unknown
May have specific additional needs you may not know about
PROS OF PUREBREDS
Generally more mild-tempered
Detailed genetic history and health records
Comfortable around humans
Easy to train, or sometimes already trained
CONS OF PUREBREDS
May be unknowingly contributing to a chucklet mill (farms that breed clowns for maximum profit, keeping them under poor conditions)
Inbreeding may cause health issues
Very expensive
Hi, Clownblr! Hope you have room for one more! 🤡
My new (adopted) clown! Shelter said he's an Auguste x Grotesque White Face cross! We haven't named him yet and we're still working on getting him proper supplies. If anyone has any tips for a first time clown owner, I'd love to hear em! 🤡♡
god, this is exactly my luck. so after i posted about wanting to look into clown husbandry i went to run some errands, and lo and behold, as i’m walking back to my car to go home, i see a juvenile clown sitting on the pavement. i think he’s male, but i’m not certain.
this is him. as soon as i opened my car door he hopped inside and made himself comfortable, which is when i took the picture. as u can see, he’s holding a party hat. i’ve no clue where he got it from, but he’s pretty protective of it. and what’s not shown in this picture is that his third little head spikey isn’t there. he’s not particularly bothered by it, but i am curious how that happened. anyway, once we got home i set up a makeshift tent for him and gave him some swedish fish, which he seemed to really enjoy. the little guy is really cute, but i don’t know anything about clown care outside of the very basics, so i’m asking 1. does anyone know what breed he might be, 2. should i surrender him to my local shelter, 3. how, if at all, will his missing spike effect his chances of being adopted in future, and 4. if i end up keeping him, how do i best take care of him? i wanna make sure he has a fulfilling life, and if i can’t give that to him i’m willing to hand him off to someone who can, but honestly he’s already growing on me, so i’d appreciate if i could get answers fast before i get too attached
