Bump! 2: Gotchard Novel is also out!

So when I promoted the three Rider novels of Fourze, Gaim and Ex-Aid, the Gotchard Novel was given to me too. I wasn’t sure due to it only being five chapters amongst what would also be more 50 episodes, though the notes say: “That’s right! While our new adventure has a total of 50 episodes, this book seems to contain five particularly memorable chapters from among all those adventures.” That explains it!

Bump! More Rider novels to share!

Hello! My birthday wasn't too much on Tuesday and yet I was still tired lol

Kamen Rider Den-O Novel Translation (Novel: Kamen Rider Den-O: The Demon Dog of Tokyo World Tower)

Happy Easter, everyone! ^w^

Just dropping that in since I got it done before Easter ended, in my timezone, but I got a third translation out: FINALLY! I got my hands on the Den-O novel!!! I actually skimmed through this one quicker than I thought!

Sorry if so much of this is confusing, or ye- The translation I used was in Chinese. Plus, this is another novel, like the W novel, there it's told via the protagonist's POV, that being Ryotaro's. Damn, was not expecting that from the Imagin, too- But overall, this is another novel with a sweet-ish ending!

If there's anything incorrect, anything needing corrected in any way (like misspelling), please let me know so I can fix it. Thanks a lot! Hope you enjoy reading!! (If it's readable at least)

Kamen Rider OOO Novel Translation (Novel: Kamen Rider OOO)

It's been a long while since I translated; I've been very on and off from many things happening recently and struggling with sleep, but HERE WE HAVE IT FINALLY!!! After a sudden burst of motivation and determination! I've seen so many people talk so much on the OOO Novel, and now I can bring it all out to y'all!

As always, translating can get tacky and I'm bound to make mistakes. If anything doesn't look right, please let me know, it really helps!

I heard the Revice Novel came out just a few days ago when I was finishing up...I've got that on my list, even if there's still other things I have in mind! Hopefully if I get my hands on it one way or another, I'll get it done too!

It began to attack, to inflict more fear onto the children...

It's interesting to note that even at this point, Bill already can sense that Stan (not Richie, nor Eddie, Ben, Beverly, Mike) was their weak link and that he needed to calm Stan's fear first before the fear starts to affect the rest of the group.

Bill seemed a bit possessed here... but looking back, at this point Bill is probably the closest to the Turtle and connected to the Turtle's power.

Personally, I prefer the way the book tries to show us how Stan was the weak link amongst the Loser gang by showing it thru these kinds of things rather than how the movie did thru ... was it a suicide note or smth? Because I feel like it cheapens (or over-glorify?) his death, really. Like Stan offed himself because he was too scared and his mind couldn't deal with suddenly recovering all of his past memories all at once. It felt weird to have the movie explain to us that 'due to Stan being aware that he was the weak link, he sacrificed himself in order not to hinder/be a burden to the others'. I mean, if he could 'calmly' have that kind of thinking, he should've also been able to reason to himself NOT to take that drastic measure.

Back to the Neibolt memories...

As they entered the old house, Ben and the others began to realise that the house they were entering wasn't quite what it seemed...

Something I appreciate about the movie to have... which was the scene of the kids venturing into the Neibolt house. Well, kinda. While it's cool that the movie got the Neibolt scene, it's not like the movie portrayed the things that happen in the book accurately.

That said, this is one of the few instances that you can read in the book of how Its powers were present in every part of Derry. The house may appear as just an old decrepit house, but it isn't the same on the inside as time and space may be distorted according to Its will.

The gang started to get closer to recovering their memories of what happened at the house on Neibolt Street.

Another loose caps that I forgot to post before the earlier Neibolt post.

The bit that was missing in the miniseries (as well as the movies, I think) about how their scars (from the blood pact, as well as Neibolt) start reappearing the more the Loser Gang recovers their memories of the past.

Since the mini-series removed the majority of Patrick's plot (as well as the bit about Eddie breaking his arm), the reasoning and timing for Bill's outbursts in the show were different. But I still like the visuals so you get it here. That said, yeah it's clear that It's starting to fear the kids cos as much as it tried Its hardest to scare and break the kids apart it didn't look like the kids gonna back off from attempting to fight It.

The Death of Patrick Hockstetter

As much as Patrick didn't appear so often in the novel (and I think he barely appears or mentioned in the miniseries) his death was probably the most graphically brutal of all the deaths in this novel. But I suppose since Patrick was supposed to be even more psychotic than Henry, his death would have to be even more gruesome.

Then again, for a psychopath like Patrick... the things that should struck complete fear in him wouldn't be that simple anyway.

The refridgerator

The timelines in the story can get pretty confusing to be honest, but I guess it can't be helped since the novel did juggle a lot of things happening in Derry and a lot of times those things did happen at the same time. That said...

But I suppose, before we could really delve into Patrick's death... we really do need to know the 'story' behind the abandoned fridge or else what happened afterwards wouldn't have made sense. Since one thing led to another and so on; as in Patrick had his first taste of taking a life when he killed his baby brother and while he's aware that it was not something he should do in the open (because the world had its rules) he couldn't quite let it go.

So Patrick killed flies, but that's still not enough... but then he found the fridge and there're plenty of stray animals that he could pick up and 'play' with...

Thus unbeknownst to all, Patrick had turned an old abandoned fridge into a killing chamber. But this shouldn't be surprising anymore since it's Derry.

Patrick practically created the thing that would eventually kill him and he never gonna realize it till the end.

Of all Henry's 'friends', Patrick Hockstetter barely appeared or mentioned a lot in the novel... at least until the last quarter of the novel. Yet Patrick turned out to be even more crazier and deranged than Henry.

Yanno, when Patrick was first introduced as this weird kid in the class who was very creepy and had a weird hobby of collecting dead flies, I didn't expect that the kid would hide an even darker secret. But I guess since It's presence is everywhere in Derry, the people living in It were bound to be influenced by It in one way or another.

And I guess the children in Derry had really only two fates. Either to become Its prey or become part of Its vessel if they manage to grow out pass their youth.

I guess all of the homophobic gay stuff that's been all over the novel eventually was supposed to lead to this. Like the incident involving Adrian Mellon and the homophobic bullies (who also had a strange resemblance to Henry's gang behaviour and personality) as well as the leper that haunted Eddie's nightmare; It seemed to have this perverse 'habit' to try to engage in sexual acts with Its potential prey... which I supposed was another way for it to 'season the meat'.

I mean... as the leper, It did try to get Eddie to let It give him a BJ...

But I suppose, unlike Eddie... Henry was caught off guard.
