i don't want to start a free trial i want to own things for the rest of my life
they want us to all hate each other and everyone falls for it every time
sometimes i wonder if we have forgotten that sharing creative work is, fundamentally, a bid for human connection. like I'm not posting art or fic for 'engagement' i'm posting it looking for other sickos to play with! i'd be making it anyway for my own gratification because there's something wrong with me, i'm sharing it hoping we can have something wrong with us together <3
[ID: A digital drawing of Teor Pridesire and Kattigan Vale from Critical Role. They're standing together holding beer cans, Kattigan with his chin resting on Teor's shoulder and a hand on Teor's waist. They're both looking off to the right with unimpressed expressions as Kattigan asks "Do you know what the fuck they're all talking about?" and Teor responds "No." End description.]

"app" is without a doubt one of the deepest evils of the human race. "hello. would you like to be expected to have a bespoke piece of software for every single Brand you might theoretically interact with in a day" <- statement dreamed up by someone who should be drawn and quartered
"It's better in the app!"
That's embarrassing. Make your website better
Firestarter (Aerith/Tifa - Final Fantasy VII)
( so uh.... yeah, I'm REAL NORMAL after that FF7 Revelation trailer reveal. One line from Tifa in her black mage outfit was all it took for me to gnaw on my laptop and smash my face against the keyboards until this popped up. Anyhow, I had a lot of thoughts and feels about Aerith teaching Tifa how to use magic, so enjoy this fic about exactly that )
Sparks flourished and fizzled out. After a lull, they emerged again, brighter than before, yet twice as volatile. Tifa muttered a curse. Working the bar had subjected her to several injuries over the years, from grease burns to scalding water. Misuse of a fire materia, however, singed her fingertips the worst.
The green orb nestled in her lap, still warm from the recent use. It possessed an innate glow, though didnât offset the darkness. Tifa didnât mind. Her options were limited for practice, and the group planned on departing at first light.
Plus it had been a while since she sat at Nibelheimâs water tower under the stars. Who knew when sheâd have that opportunity again.
Furrowing her brow, Tifa cupped the materia. She envisioned the steps needed to start a campfire, then maintain it. Tension swelled in her shoulders. Knuckles blanched. The sparks popped into existence, but the heat spiked and Tifa recoiled with a yelp. The materia slipped free and plummeted.
Another failure, another reason to give up. Not just for tonight, but forâ
âYoohoo!â
Tifa stiffened. Shit. She knew that voice.
Peeking down, she managed to make out the familiar silhouette, waving and holding up the materia.
âLooks like you dropped this!â

hard cider was invented when someone decided to make beer that tastes good instead of bad
stupid fuckin post. People have been making beer since before they even knew how to write and you think that they donât like the way it tastes?

the productivity creatures
when you say something awkward and stupid in a social situation that probably no one will remember except you for the rest of time
âNo one is coming to save you.â I disagree ! I believe many people made up of many small moments come to save pieces of you , even if just briefly. The mentor who believed in you . The friend who said theyâre proud of you. The family member that makes you laugh . The random person who held the door for you out of nothing but kindness. The teacher who took extra time to help you understand. The person who smiled at you when you walked into a store. The little kid who looks up to you. The person who randomly complimented you. Being âsavedâ isnât about being whisked away and all your hardships gone, itâs about the people and things that remind you life is not all hardships, it is kindness, love, gentleness, softness, care, thoughtfulness. It is many moments made up of your lifetime that keeps you going and showing you the world is still beautiful, and will always be. Despite.

This isn't even a joke it's just what we do
The most interesting question you can ask about any character is not what do they want. it's what do they believe they deserve. because those two things are almost never the same and the gap between them is where your entire story lives. a person can want love completely and believe they don't deserve it and that belief will destroy every good thing that comes toward them in ways they won't even notice they're doing. write the gap. the gap is the character.
