Announcing JayTim Week 2026!

Wow, it seems like only yesterday that a couple of bright-eyed, bushy-tailed fans announced the first JayTim Week. While those founding mods have since moved on, the ship week itself is still chugging along just as strong as ever—a whole decade later!

We had a lot of grand ideas while brainstorming for this year's JayTim week. There have been a lot of events (sometimes more than one in a year!), in a lot of different ways (longtime fans will remember the epic JayTim BINGO Month of 2019), and over the years we've had a heckuva lot of prompts. Why not pull on all that history to make something unique and special?

This year, JayTim "Week" will span 10 whole days, from June 19th through June 28th, 2026—one day for each year. To pick prompts for each day, our dedicated mods compiled the past prompts (all 301 of them), weeded out the repeats, and randomly divided them between the 10 days. Then, to mix things up a bit more, we made a picker wheel for each day.

To decide on your prompt(s) each day, simply spin the wheel and let fate decide. Since we don't have a free day this year, each wheel also includes a Free Day!, bringing the total number of possible options for each day up to a whopping 25 prompts (wow)!

Announcing JayTim Week 2025!

That's right folks, it's that time of year again! This year the mods have chosen to embrace the fact that JayTim Week is in June with JTW 2025: I Choose Hue. Each day will have a color assigned to it, with that color acting as that day's prompt. How you choose to incorporate that color into what you share is entirely up to you—it could be a palette-swap of Jason and Tim's costumes in piece of fanart for Orange; an all-angst, no-comfort fic for Blue; a Poison Ivy-sidekick AU for Green—there's a whole spectrum of opportunity to work with here!

The event this year will run from June 22nd through June 28th (Sunday through Saturday), with a free day falling on Wednesday. And since red is so important to both Jason and Tim, the colors/prompts will be going in reverse, culminating in Red:

Day 1 (Sunday, 6/22): Purple

Day 2 (Monday, 6/23): Blue

Day 3 (Tuesday, 6/24): Green

Day 4 (Wednesday, 6/25): FREE DAY

Day 5 (Thursday, 6/26): Yellow

Day 6 (Friday, 6/27): Orange

Day 7 (Saturday, 6/28): Red

jason consistently beating tims ass into the ground while being all "work with me, be my robin, think about what we could do together"

like jason latching onto the idea of a partnership with tim even tho he puts tim on his ass over and over again- clearly he's got such a mad respect for tim even tho he's also always talking down to him, it's so fun to think about how jason has these conflicting actions bc of how obsessive he is with tim

and you're right it does go both ways bc tim is still fucked up over the view he had of jason while he was dead/while they thought he was still dead

like tim in his early robin days consistently talked to jasons memorial case, consistently talked about how he was "going to be as good as jason" and had to hold up to this ideal of jason that bruce put in that case and had to work twice as hard to be better than that bc tim was faced with his own mortality bc of jason even tho they had never met

so when jason actually shows back up and he's not what tim had in his head at all, it became this whole thing of reconciling the view he had of jason from bruce and dick alongside the view he painted of jason for himself from talking to his memorial case alongside this new version of jason that he can actually talk to- so he has to say that jason means nothing to him- that he doesn't care about him at all, bc even when he didn't want to be he was in jasons shadow

and that might have been fine when jason was dead because as long as tim was alive he proved he was better than jason was, bc jason had died, but with jason alive he has to deal with everything they pushed away while he was dead

this got way out of hand but yeah tim is also incapable of being normal about jason, he just plays it off better than jason does lmao
