First episode of season 6: Bojack Horseman was a victim of his parents' neglect and irresponsible alcohol-use. The first time Bojack ever drank, he was drinking out of a bottle his parents left lying around. He is a sympathetic figure, and his parents failed him.

Later episode of season 6: Sarah Lynn was a victim of Bojack's neglect and irresponsible alcohol-use. The first time Sarah Lynn ever drank, she was drinking out of a bottle her TV-father left lying around. She is a sympathetic figure, and Bojack Horseman failed her.

I just... the way the show portrays young Bojack as sympathetic and old Bojack as reprehensible... It's so well executed. We can feel bad for what Bojack's parents put him through and also hate him for what he put Sarah Lynn through.

Okay we can all agree that Bojack Horseman is filled with an abundance of spectacular quotes but in the latest season when Todd said to his stepfather "Why do you need to be proud of me on your terms?" I felt that
