dianaknight:
Normally, Diana refused to enter the cemetery for her weekly visits without Benji in tow. Not because she loathed the idea of mourning without him, but graveyards were exceptionally creepy and morose places to venture alone. And when they were empty save for herself? Even worse. Still it seemed twenty shades of heartless to avoid visiting Blaike and her parents due to a misplaced fear of the heebie-jeebies, thus the young reaper began a silent trek into the land of the dead while avoiding all urges to turn around and make sure zombies weren’t trailing close behind. She had only just come to pause before her baby sister’s grave when another voice caught her attention, both startling and relieving Diana in the same breath. “You’re actually being super quiet… I didn’t even realize anybody else was out here.” With the presence of another came a twisted sort of comfort, the kind which lessened a blanketing loneliness found in personal grief. “Sorry— I didn’t mean to interrupt.”
Hope felt relief at the fact that the other woman hadn’t overheard everything she’d been saying to her father, this one place was where she had the freedom to say whatever she wanted without fear of others. It was only at her father's grave that she felt safe enough to drop the act that she put on daily. “Oh no it’s fine, I was actually just finishing up my visit with him” The ghost didn’t feel weird in describing her time there in such a way, she had watched the other woman stop in front of a specific grave which meant she would more than likely know and understand what Hope meant. Her eyes glanced over to the grave she stood before and then back at the other girl, sympathy for whoever she had lost clear in her eyes “I can leave if you’d like time alone with them” she offered, Hope didn’t like other people being around when she talked to her father she could only imagine the girl felt the same about her loved one as well.
