Well, I clearly couldn’t help myself, but I wanted to edit the Beyond line-up of the guys to be some of the canonical rejects, with my headcanon edits on them of course! 😆💕 For now I just did Tomatoredd, Torm, ‘Replacement Tom’ Matt (AKA Clatt), and Toaster Edd! 🧪

thematically being the most deadwife character ever if fun to play around with, she's like a ghost and then she does something stupidly in character for laurel or jon and then she's a person again who is alive and well and that dichotomy is fun to play with. She's blue for an amazing reason (non-diegetic)

guy who has only seen Spares reading their second ever media: got any fun thoughts about the ciones, present or future, in the displacedd au?

In the present, the surviving clones at Bing’s lab are pretty much just chilling there, while still being kinda pissed off at existing, BUT they’re all slowly becoming accustomed to their bizarre circumstance. Around this time. Bing is still pretty stand-off-ish towards the clones, while Larry has gotten on most of their good sides, hence why it was so easy for Larry to ask Tomatoredd for help in picking up the incredibly heavy mech scrap that Future Edd dropped off.

I will at least say that Torm will eventually have his time to shine in the fic, just for a brief moment!~

As time goes on, the clones are finally granted some sense of freedom, as Bing and Larry will allow some particular ‘well behaved’ clones at certain times to BRIEFLY leave the lab to do errands/whatever they want, as long as they promise to return. (If they do attempt to flee completely….. well let’s just say Bing is pretty damn evil after all….. ever hear of a kill switch?) Bing also finally got around to using some of them as staff or even actors in his films, pretty much paying them with whatever food, goods, playthings, etc that they want.

Overall it’s a slightly strenuous relationship between Bing & Larry with all of the clones, but at this point they’ve all become accustomed to it lol

Can you PLEASE go into detail about your take on Tomatoredd’s monster form? 👀 Is it just all stemming from the Tom part of the clone, or do they also have some other stuff like Matt & Tord’s residual zombeh curse within them, etc?

Okay so how im reckoning with tom being possessed by a rage demon along with his clones is that we have a comic of said demon spreading memetically kinda. Which I am relieved, but let it be known a lack of evidence would not have stopped me from making redd have cool monster powers. I just would have stretched that taffy to lengths that otherwise would have gone yet unseen by mortal man if I had to.

Tomatoredd being just a single guy with supposedly ☝️ one body, so that means any and all emotional output that they have are shared amongst each other*. this can manifests as fast mood-swings or one of them taking over the front entirely depending on context, but most of the time their limbic system just chooses the mean of whats everyone is feeling.

because of this someone can feel something very strong and it can bleed into the rest of them, someone finds something funny it can be infectious if no one has any strong aversion. Matt's ego can blow up the rest of theirs, the collective horror at finding a pun edd did funny can also bleed into edd for a very confusing combination of emotions.

So in order to feel anything explosively, they would all have to be on the same page emotion wise, this includes invoking The Beast. Rage demon? Monster mode.

Some general headcanons, some of which a bit inspired by theboxfort:

I love a silent rage.

The monster form is 100% emotion and thus it only comes about when they are all fucking pissed/stressed out, a team effort <3

there are stages in how cognizant they are when they are like that^ most of the time its pure white hot anger that they fully black out from.

I can imagine some circumstances that are clordclatt shaped where they are just too constantly haunches up, where physical symptoms start to display as pure stress response.

physically mostly favors where tom is represented on their body

torm, film buff tom, and scribble tom have the capability if driven to enough anger.

film buff tom however i can't really ever imagine getting to that point, but if he did he would look the most similar to tom prime compared to the rest of them.

Torm and Redd aren’t 100% Tom, so they can’t fully turn into a monster.

as for the zombeh curse? eh, i try my best not to over complicate things in my head, I suppose my justification is because the nature of the demon being emotion driven and the curse being emotion neutral they don't interact with each other much. doesn't mean they cant manifest at the same time though.

*say nothing of what that means when there are extreme differences in what everyone is feeling. That's where the strange bio-goop that makes up their clone bodies can start to glitch and "destabilize," and perhaps betray their 'four bodies squished together' nature. So tomatoredd can go to great lengths to make sure that doesn't happen and to continue to trick their body into thinking it's still only one body, even if that doesn't encourage the best healthy mindfulness habits (eg: letting themselves fall into a negative feedback loop because at least everyone is on the same page).
