Mr c-HARRY-table! One Direction's Styles slips off from the band's world tour to meet underprivileged children in South Africa
Harry Styles rarely has a second to himself as one quarter of One Direction.
But the kind-hearted 21-year-old, split off from bandmembers Louis Tomlinson, Liam Payne and Niall Horan, to surrender his precious alone time for a charitable cause last week.
As Harry and the band, who became a four-piece after Zayn Malik’s departure last month, continued the On The Road Again world tour with a stop in South Africa, Harry slipped off to meet underprivileged children helped by the Lalela Project in Cape Town.
Speaking about Harry’s visit, a source told The Sun's Dan Wootton on Monday: 'Harry decided to go to the Lalela Project all by himself and he really impressed the kids and workers there.'
The star, clad casually in an open shirt and tan boots, reportedly took time to learn about each of the students and engaged with them as he stopped for selfies afterwards.
The Lalela Project charity, previously visited by fellow philanthropist Katie Holmes in 2013, gives children affected by extreme poverty the chance to be creative through art projects.
'Harry could easily have spent extra time at his hotel relaxing,' the source continued. 'But he really wants to give back when the band are travelling the world and he likes to take these things on himself.
'This tour hasn't been easy for the boys but he knows that their lives are far better than many of their fans' and kids being helped by projects like this.'
Harry is in the midst of the band’s fourth tour, in which fifth member Zayn announced that he would be leaving the band and the other boys would carry on without him.
The star even invited the children to his show in the capital that night and proudly displayed their artwork, which had been a present to him that day.
On their Instagram page, the charity shared a picture which said: ‘Harry Styles wearing the Lalela luggage tag we gave him as a gift on stage last night.

In 2013, the band was named among the Top 20 most charitable stars; raising $784,345 for youth cancer research, $1,000,000 for anti-bullying organisations and $1,267,639 with their Red Nose Day single Teenage Kicks.
Though Harry has always continued to engage in personal projects to provide help to others.
On his 19th birthday, he spent time distributing pizzas to the homeless and he helped raise awareness for Believe In Magic by generating a craze for a simple wristband.
And while Harry continues his philanthropic journey, fellow bandmates Liam and Niall landed back in the UK on Sunday ahead of a two month break from gigging.
The pair jetted in from Dubai and will enjoy eight weeks off until their Milennium Stadium gig in Cardiff in June.
