ooh i love you lorenzo i love your unhealthy eating habits of indulgence that stem from trauma as a defense mechanism and self preservation i love how you have not one but two mouths so you can eat even more i love how your second mouth is on the back of your neck and above your brain stem which leads to your brain and everyone knows zombies eat brains and aren’t you just a boy who came to life but how much of you is actually living and how much of you is just surviving since a corpse can eat as much as it wants without ever feeling full but is that a blessing or a curse for someone like you and ooh i love you lorenzo because you might be the best personification of the devouring philosophy that blue lock promotes. or something idk.
Over approximately 10 days, our Artemis II crew successfully completed a voyage around the Moon. They gave us stunning photos of the far side of the Moon, Earth, and a solar eclipse, along with inspirational messages, laughs, and even a few tears. Let's recap the Artemis II mission.
First step: fit check.
Artemis II astronauts Reid Wiseman, Victor Glover, Christina Koch, and Jeremy Hansen got suited up and had their spacesuits checked to make sure they were ready to go to space.
Once their custom-fit suits were checked and the astronauts were ready, they walked out to greet the crowd at our Kennedy Space Center in Florida. After saying hi to everyone, including their families, the quartet made their way onto the Orion spacecraft that would carry them to the Moon.
The astronauts entered Orion and completed more checks. Next, the closeout crew closed the final hatch on Orion.
Then, it was time for the big moment – well, the first big moment of the mission: Liftoff!
Orion was on its way to the Moon, and the astronauts aboard had plenty to do.
They exercised…
and conducted interviews…
all while showing the camaraderie and collaboration that make missions possible.
And that means Rise, too! The little plush zero gravity indicator was a constant companion throughout the mission.
Finally, it was time for them to go around the Moon and observe its far side. As the astronauts began to describe features of the Moon that they saw, they had a heartfelt moment when suggesting that a crater be named after Reid's late wife, Carroll.
During the lunar flyby, the foursome experienced a solar eclipse that only they could see!
All throughout the mission, there were many moments of "Moon Joy."
After the crew completed their observation duties, it was time to start the journey back home.
On April 10, the Artemis II astronauts safely splashed down in the Pacific Ocean, bringing the mission to a triumphant end.
These GIFs are just a taste of the amazing imagery and memorable moments from Artemis II. Relive it all on our YouTube channel: youtube.com/NASA

ılıılı marc snuffy watching you with don lorenzo and being nostalgic
request by: anon (specifically asked for platonic)
snuffy often watches practice from the sidelines, arms crossed, expression neutral, but his eyes soften when he notices you and lorenzo messing around between drills. lorenzo is loud, animated, impossible to miss. you match his energy easily, laughing, nudging, challenging him to dumb competitions that have nothing to do with football.
to outsiders, it looks like wasted time. to snuffy, it looks like something precious. he remembers how football once felt heavy, how joy disappeared before he realized it. seeing you both laugh so freely makes him breathe easier.
lorenzo treats you like a sibling he chose. he trash-talks you relentlessly, steals your water bottle, throws an arm around your shoulders mid-run. but the second someone else steps out of line? he’s in front of you without thinking.
snuffy notices how you ground lorenzo. you laugh at his theatrics but don’t encourage recklessness. when he starts spiraling, you pull him back with a joke, a look, a reminder. snuffy clocks it immediately, you’re stabilizing each other.
sometimes snuffy remembers his old teammate, the one he lost, when he watches you both. the way you play with heart instead of ego, the way lorenzo lights up when you succeed, like it matters just as much as his own goals. it hurts. but it also heals something.
during breaks, you and lorenzo sit on the grass arguing about food, music, or whose fault a failed drill was. snuffy pretends not to listen. but when he later adjusts the training schedule to include more recovery time, it’s because he heard you complain about exhaustion.
snuffy never interferes directly in your dynamic. he believes in autonomy. but he protects it quietly, shutting down media distractions, setting boundaries, ensuring you both stay mentally safe.
lorenzo thrives under snuffy’s guidance because snuffy doesn’t try to tame him. he gives him structure without crushing his spirit. you see it. and you mirror that same patience when lorenzo pushes too far.
there’s a moment after a particularly good practice where snuffy catches lorenzo slinging an arm around you, both of you grinning like kids. for a second, snuffy allows himself to imagine a future where football didn’t destroy what he loved.
where players could stay human.
snuffy never says it out loud. but when he watches you walk off the pitch together, tired, laughing, alive, he feels something close to pride, as someone who learned too late what truly mattered… and is determined to protect it for you.
Listen I know that Deuce wants to be a magical enforcement officer in the future… BUT he would be so happy being a mechanic he loves bikes his talent machinery maintenance why making him a cop
Don Lorenzo & Marc Snuffy, Marc Snuffy & Mick Munn ; Angst, Slight Comfort, Past Death, Referenced Drug Use/Abuse ; 1.6k

Not a son. Not a nephew. Not a relative. Marc Snuffy had to keep the impulse to fucking rip a lock of hair from his scalp at bay as he forcefully took the pills box from Lorenzo’s hands.
“What the fuck do you think you're doing?!” he shouldn't have used that tone. He shouldn't have raised his voice. He shouldn't have been looking at him like that. That was not the Marc Lorenzo knew, that was not the figure he could count on, that was not what he needed to hear from him or how he should have looked, in a moment like that one.
Rationality wasn't his strong suit when his heart was exploding in his chest and all he could feel was his best friend’s dead body in his arms, limp and cold and still, as Mick had never been at all.
Lorenzo’s eyes were wide with surprise, awake as he had rarely seen him, those days. His stance alert, his hands shaking, too caught by his outburst to fight for the small box. “I—”
“Lorenzo,” Marc wasn't even sure of what to say. How to say it. What to do. How to react. Nothing at all was in his mind as much as all he could think of kept bouncing from corner to corner and crashing onto other sentences and thoughts and screaming.
Screaming. Did he scream when he saw him that day? Was he petrified? What did he do? How did he react? He remembered it all so vividly it almost felt like a dream still. Still digesting a reality he had barely faced at all. Still hoping to wake up and find him in his apartment, stubbornly alive as he should still be.
He had been avoiding the cemetery for years, ever since he had found Lorenzo. He had thought that redeeming himself would have been enough to forget. Not move on, as the mere smell of a specific dish still made his brain freeze and his hands grow numb, simply avoid. Avoid and go on until retirement and until all he would have been left with would have been a desolate tomb to take care of as he had always regretted not doing when he was alive.
“Where did you get these?” Marc asked, his voice controlled and forcefully calm, because he had seen that expression on Lorenzo’s face only when he had woken up in cold sweat the rare nights he passed out, with dried tears on his cheeks and names of people he never knew at all rolling from his lips in a continuous loop that never seemed to be wanting to stop, and he hated to be the one causing him to look like that as much as he hated very few things. “Where—?”
“I'm sorry,” was all Lorenzo said, his voice barely a whisper. “I— I’m sorry, I—”
“It's okay,” no, it wasn’t. It really wasn't. He couldn't lose him too. “Where?”
“A guy at a rave,” he said, “I— I needed to fuck myself up. And these calm me down.”
“Okay,” okay, okay, will you stop lying to his face? Marc gritted his teeth and took a deep breath that came out his mouth shaky and forced. His grip on the box tightened, he put it in his pocket. “Talk to me.”
“I'm sorry,” he repeated. “I’ll stop, I’m sorry, I—”
“Kid.” Kid. He was just a kid. Barely fifteen years old, barely started puberty, barely knew what anything was. He couldn't risk it. He couldn't risk it. “I’m sorry too.”
“Don’t apologize,” Lorenzo’s voice for the slightest bit of grit, “why are…? Don't, I—”
“I'm sorry,” he repeated, fuck, he had to apologise, he had to, Lorenzo didn't know shit, and still, Marc couldn't move, didn't have the guts to comfort him and reassure him.
He just wanted to scream. He just wanted to punch something. Maybe himself. Maybe he deserved it still. Maybe he was going to lose him too and he wouldn't have been able to do anything again. Maybe. What was he going to do? Fuck, what even—?
Marc shook his head fast. What was he, in his twenties again? The hell was up with that? He didn't need to feel like that, he didn't need to act like that, hell, Lorenzo needed him, shit, where the fuck was he?
Where in the world was he, at that moment?
The room was blurry and dark as his room had been. The pale light coming from the corridor barely revealed the details of the kitchen where they were standing. Unreal, unreal, nothing was real. He wasn’t real. He wished he wasn’t. He wished he hadn’t postponed dealing with shit. He wished, wished, wished, as he always did, that something, anything, could have been different.
Marc was terrified of leaving that claustrophobic space only because he was sure of who he would have found on the rug in the living room.
“You’re scaring me,” he heard Lorenzo whisper. “I— I’m sorry, I… what’s up with you…? I…”
You’re never like this. You never lose your cool like this. You never raise your voice with me, no matter what fucked up shit I still can’t let go of I do. Why are you like this now? What? Why? What’s different, this time?
“Talk to me,” Lorenzo threw his offer back at him, a shaky smile made its way on his face, a grimace that just looked wrong. A kid comforting his guardian. That was a weight no child should have had to bear at all. And still, Lorenzo, as he usually did, wanted to help. Be useful. Be something.
Fucked up. He was fucking up a child by reinforcing his contorted fears. Marc’s head flashed with a thought he discharged as soon as it appeared.
“I can help,” what was under that was something they were both very aware of, a mechanism so engraved in him that they both had been avoiding analyzing for way too long. “I… can help. I’ll— I’ll stop, I… you can talk to— to me, okay? I can listen! I can—”
“Lore,” Marc took a deep breath. He exhaled slowly. He took another one. He closed his eyes for a moment, forced his body to stop shaking even slightly, and opened his arms. “It’s okay.”
Lorenzo looked at him for a moment too many before looking away. His hands were still shaking. His stance still alert. His eyes still awake. And still, as always, underneath it all, Lorenzo was just exhausted.
It took him a moment to get close. It took him a moment, but when he did, Marc held him in a hug so tight he knew he was hurting him. Lorenzo didn’t complain. He was doing the same anyway.
His body was still sickly slim from the years spent on the streets. Marc wondered if he was ever going to see him at least a bit healthier. He knew he still had a long way to go. He remembered perfectly the kid he had met that day. As much as it could have been better, for a moment, Marc simply felt proud of how far he had come.
He was warm, scalding, compared to how Mick had been. He was breathing fast, as he usually did when he was as shaken as at that moment. His hold on him was hesitant and still, careful but real.
Real.
Lorenzo was alive. He should remember that instead of jumping ahead to a future he hoped would never come.
“How long?” Marc asked, tired voice and exhausted mind.
“Dunno,” he mumbled, “a bit. Sorry.”
“It’s fine,” he hesitated for a moment, debating. In the end, he decided to be honest. “No, it’s not."
“It’s not,” Lorenzo repeated.
“It’s not,” it made the smallest of smiles appear on his face. He hugged him as if that would have protected him from what he couldn’t be protected from at all. “And that’s okay.”
“That’s okay.”
“We’ll figure something out,” hope, that was. He didn’t know how. He didn’t know shit. He wished it could have all been simpler.
“I’m sorry,” Lorenzo said, “don’t…”
“I won’t,” he reassured him. “I won’t, kid. You’re safe.”
Lorenzo’s shoulders shook. He rubbed his eyes with a hand. “Thank you.”
“Anytime,” he slowly let go of him, his hand laid on his shoulder, “wanna watch a movie?”
“My chest hurts.”
“It can distract you, maybe, it… will pass,” he grimaced, “I’m sorry.”
“Not your fault, all mine.”
“Not yours either, kid,” You just wanted to be calm. You just wanted not to be real. I understand that too much to be angry at you. “A Marvel one?”
Lorenzo hummed. “Those are nice.”
“They are,” he nodded, he gave him the most honest smile he could muster, “I’ll make popcorn.”
“It’s two in the morning,” he grimaced, half-grateful, shining golden smile.
“Since when has that ever stopped you?” He couldn’t help it, his smile softened. “We’ll get there. Promise.”
Lorenzo nodded fast. He shook his head. He gave him a look. “Okay.”
He believed in those words as much as he did. It was no matter, Marc made him sweet popcorn and stared unblinking at the TV with his mind far away and his gaze unseeing. He knew Lorenzo knew he wasn’t there, at that moment. He knew he didn’t mind. He knew. Lorenzo was kind. Lorenzo, at the end of the day, was just like him. He hated being like that in front of him as much as anyone would have, and still, it didn’t really matter at all.
By the end of the movie it was obvious that neither of them had followed much of it all. But Lorenzo seemed almost calm and Marc couldn’t see needles on the floor anymore, so maybe, just maybe, for that night, it was gonna be okay like that.

Volume 8: Mikage Reo
Reo's chains are noticeably shaded green. Guess whose eyes glow green when they're fired up...
In addition, @thyandrawrites has a theory that Reo ties/reties his hair up as a way to maintain emotional composure. The volume covers tend to represent the character's personality or struggles in some sense. If so, this is an early nod to the emotional trials Reo endures during the series.
Volume 10: Tokmitsu Aoshi
No chain weirdness here, but Tokimitsu is surrounded by black gunk in his cover. This may be a visualisation of his anxiety and the way he copes with it: running at speed and bulldozing through his opponents.
Volume 11: Ego Jinpachi
Ego's cover depicts him totally immobilised by the four chains bound to his neck. To date, no other character has been more restrained by the chains. This likely represents that Ego's fate is utterly dependent on the outcome of Blue Lock. His cover also suggests that Blue Lock (and football) consume Ego's life.
Volume 12: Shidou Ryuusei
Shidou's chains have a blue glow, much like Sendou's in volume 27. This glow is far closer to Shidou's collar however. It could imply that Blue Lock is the beginning of Shidou's pursuit of football.
He's also depicted with demon wings. The collar or chains don't impede his movement significantly, unlike other characters. In addition to portraying his incredible physicality, this could also visually represent how Blue Lock has failed to subdue Shidou.
Volume 16: Oliver Aiku
Aiku's chains are wrapped tightly around his arm and he's pulling them taut. The chains themselves appear rusted and cracked, most notably on his collar. This could represent Aiku's relationship with football. He grew jaded with being a striker in high school. Becoming a defender, then the match against Blue Lock, revitalised his enthusiasm. Hence, the chain is holding fast: he's just as ensnared by football (and Blue Lock) as the others.
Volume 17: Itoshi Sae
Sae and his chains are bathed in radiant gold light, which is associated with both divinity and wealth. His chains crumble in one place, and remain barely intact. I offer two interpretations for this. Firstly: unlike the others, Blue Lock does not have a strong impact on Sae—his success as a footballer is completely independent of it.
Secondly: if we take the chain to represent Sae's footballing career, the crumbling chain could allude to a time when football negatively impacted him. Perhaps whatever happened in Madrid? But he came back stronger, as the rest of his chains appear even more golden.
Volume 18: Teieri Anri
Anri is the only character depicted without chains or a collar. While working with Ego is a prison sentence in its own right, the artwork suggests that her ambition and future isn't connected to the outcome of Blue Lock. It can also be interpreted as a nod to the hierarchy within Blue Lock. Anri is Ego's boss and thus, she is free while he is constrained. However...
Zoom in on the reflection on her phone screen. It appears to reflect a wide grin—which can only be one person's. Taking into account her passivity in chapter 247, this detail positions Anri as Ego's accomplice: willing to do his bidding, no matter how amoral.
Volume 19: Michael Kaiser
Kaiser's collar and chains are made of glass, through which his blue rose tattoo is visible. As chapter 243 told us, a blue rose represents the impossible to Kaiser. Glass chains suggests that his ego or ties to football are fragile, and could be broken easily. Symbolically, glass can also represent transparency. As a character, Kaiser is upfront about his talent and desires. Nobody is in doubt about his footballing mantra or his intent to undermine Isagi.
Volume 20: Alexis Ness
Ness's chains are entwined with blue rose brambles, all but for a short length to the top right of the image. While Ness came to love football independently, seeing it as magical, the rose brambles show that his connection to football is now inseparable from his devotion to Kaiser. It also reflects that Ness would not be a professional footballer without Kaiser, as per chapter 242/243.
Volume 24: Hiori Yo
Hiori is the only character shown holding the end of his chain, which is secured by a football-shaped weight. This suggests that Hiori himself is the one in control of his career, rather than external forces. Football is a burden to him, albeit something he can carry. Therefore, Hiori is not ensnared by the chains (or Blue Lock) to the same extent as other characters. Appropriate for a character guaranteed to succeed as a footballer, but who ultimately may not choose to pursue it.
Volume 25: Niko Ikki
Niko's volume cover is hilarious. I'll leave the explaining to Tomo-tan, who lays out the humour and genius of Niko's cover in this great Reddit post.
Volume 26: Don Lorenzo
Members of the New Generation World XI have no chill when it comes to their covers, and Don Lorenzo is no exception. His collar shows bite marks, as though chewed through. Gold teeth are good for more than caramel popcorn, apparently.
Lorenzo's chains are accompanied by what looks like electricity. This suggests that football reanimated Lorenzo from near death, as per chapter 216. It's a visual nod to his playstyle, which resembles the incessant pursuit of a zombie. Guess we can call him Snuffy's Monster.
Volume 27: Sendou Shuuto
A blue glow appears on Sendou’s chains, halted from travelling further by his fist. This may represent the threat Blue Lock poses to Sendou's footballing career. He's already been kicked as the striker of the national team; now in the Neo Egoist League, he must battle for a place on the new U20 line-up. No easy feat, as his sweaty face implies.
Another detail worth mentioning is that the trajectory of one of Sendou's chains appear to align with the chain Aiku's pulling in his cover. This similarity, and the fact that they're both holding their chains, may be interpreted as a nod to their status as former U20 teammates—likely the only ones that will make the new team, going off the latest NEL auction table.
Volume 29: Nanase Nijiro
Debated adding him, but eh—I wrote up Reo's cover. Nanase's illustration (incl. the chains) is shaded green… similar to Rin's eyes and aura colour. His chain jerks right and left in a nod to his ambidexterity.
Volume 30: Tsurugi Zantetsu
Another gag cover on par with Niko's, albeit less clever (intentionally?). Zantetsu's chain is made of shapes you'd associate with a toddler's learning shapes toy.
Volume 31: Charles Chevalier
Charles's cover is a double whammy. He gets two colours like Aiku, reflecting his capricious nature. Gold and metallic are representative of his high worth. The background spirals are a definite nod to the Cheshire Cat, a character Charles states he likes in an end of volume character profile.
The chains are shaped like the devil emojis that appear in Charles's dialogue. The chains also feature two materials: an alternating light and dark metal with no evident pattern. This perhaps represents the way his passes are hit or miss, or the way he decides who to send passes to on a whim.
Sorry what was that? I'm too in my head about how it was subtly hinted that Snuffy was suffering from depression or something because of how everyone on his team reacted when he regained his spark. I'm too stuck on how Marc Snuffy throws himself at any player he deems a "challenge" because he keeps reliving the fact he wasn't able to save Mick. I'm still thinking about how players who fit in with no issues aren't getting one on one time because they just don't trigger that same fight or flight he feels when someone reminds him of his dead friend. The way he's shown to literally drag Lorenzo to get help vs how he cradled Mick's dead body. How he patted Barou's shoulder vs how he has his arm wrapped around Mick in one of the photos. One of his top traits is his physicality and yet, he's only shown to touch those who need help...like a sort of savior.
But for all this savior like behavior, the thing that really gets his boys excited is how he starts to become a bit more motivated for himself. Like his team actually loves him and before he thought he was a no one or just described soccer as a "job" but his pupils really want the best for him. I wouldnt be suprised if he's done something to personally help every one of them- oh god
Noel Noa would let his spouse do his eyeliner for him sometimes
•••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••
(It’s so canon that he wears eyeliner, I don’t care none of that ‘oh it’s natural’ bs my man is a cat-eye winged baddie)
I doubt he wore it when he was in the slums of France. He probably started using eyeliner regularly when he got recruited to a smaller team, his first real opportunity to change his life. Maybe he wears it because he likes the feeling of empowerment and belonging the dramatic flare the eyeliner brings to him. Maybe he wears it as a safety precaution, something to hide the flaws only he sees, and doesn’t realize it yet. Maybe he wanted to be remembered, to stand out. Not to be identified as the poor, improper, uneducated boy with potential, to be a beast of a football player that stands next to no one. A man that was worth more than the dirty slums. If they wouldn’t remember his name or his abilities, they would remember the cold, (desperate) hungry gleam in his amber eyes encased in a cut of harsh black liner.
Whatever the case, the eyeliner has stuck with him for years. Even you, his spouse that shares a home with him, hardly see Noel without it. Due to his profession, his training and competition often ensured that Noel would rise out of bed before you and sink back into bed after you. You don’t mind though, treasuring your time with Noel comes in small but rewarding moments.
Like this morning.
Noel was to be at the airport in a few hours to fly to Japan from Germany with his team, Bastard Munchen. Apparently their presence is required for the next phase of the ‘Blue Lock’ program. You heard of it, having one foot in the football world at all times because of Noel; however no one in the world would have expected the upset that was the U-20 game held in Japan a couple weeks ago.
You weren’t too fond of the idea of Noel staying at the Blue Lock facility for the foreseeable future, and you could tell by his attitude neither was he. This ‘Neo Egoist League’ he mentioned sounded like one big round robin experiment to find players for the U-20 World Cup. Something only weeks away. The whole thing was like a dream, you just couldn’t tell if it would be a good one or a bad one. Seems as though the whole world will have to figure out together as very few are privy to know what is happening inside Blue Lock as of now.
Despite his protests in favor of you sleeping in, you decided to accompany and see Noel off.
“Noel, I’m not able to come with you. This will be the last morning I get to spend with you for weeks.” You stress to the figure washing his face in your shared bathroom.
“You still have to go to work later today, you need to sleep. No one wants to deal with an employer that can’t keep their eyes open for five minutes.” Noel calls.
“I’ll be fine, I’m a grown woman who can handle a little sleepiness,” You groan and stride to the bathroom. “You’re one to talk on the matter in fact, I can see your eye bags from here.”
The two of you lock eyes and enter a silent competition. Noel refuses to admit his sleep has been plagued with thoughts about the Blue Lock situation and wishes for you to return to bed. You are unrelenting in your efforts of spending this time with him and do not want to lay in a bed getting colder by the minute.
Noel sighs. Victory. You 1, Noel 0.
“Perhaps then you should do my eyeliner today, to lessen the appearance of my eye bags to your satisfactory.” He mumbles and holds his hand out with the marker in tow. An olive branch. A gleaming smile breaks upon your face.
There was something very private, very intimate for Noel when he allowed for you to do his eyeliner. Him leaning against the counter facing you, you between his legs holding his face. It was about trust. It was about vulnerability. Even if Noel wouldn’t admit it to you, he was giving you access to that little boy covered in dirt and bruises all those years ago. You knew it too, the way his face would lean into the skin of your palm as you held him steady. The way his shoulders would relax and his posture would slack. The way his eyes would close and twitch ever so slightly when they felt the ink from the marker. You knew you were holding the boy right now, not the man.
You’ve seen the boy a good handful of times. In the crux of the night when Noel would hold your body closer to him. In the evening husk when you would massage his body and play with his thick tufts of white hair. In the middle of the day; when you could hear the smile in his voice even if it wasn’t present in his face as he called you on your lunch break. And in the morning, when you did his eyeliner.
And you were oh so fragile with him. He appreciated it greatly, the warm feeling that flowed through his veins. It complimented the confidence the eyeliner gave him perfectly.
Once you finished you pressed a chaste kiss to his nose, then one on his lips. He sighed slightly at the feeling of your lips touching. The momentary solace building his energy that the night had sapped away from him instead of rejuvenating home with. You rubbed your thumbs through his wispy white eyebrow hairs and waited. Noel slowly opened his eyes, and looked at the small smile adorning your face.
His eye bags were still present, he still carried that essence of tiredness. But there was more life in his eyes. They glowed brighter, more whimsical than before. It was the perfect blend of boy and man.
“Thank you, Y/N.” The man said. For everything. The boy thought.
He couldn’t verbalize it, not now. His emotions would over take him, and he can’t afford that at this moment. Not when he’s about to part from you for so long. He had to be the man.
