I dunno if I’m gonna like the rest of Interview with the Vampire… The world just got so large so quickly especially with the end of TVL. And there’s 11ish more books.

I really liked 1&2 as their own thing and they were perfect TV. TVL was interesting and I appreciated how it cracked open the original narrative of S1&2 to give the audience a better understanding of the facts and the characters. But Idk if the tone landed with me. Also the broader narrative might be too large for my tastes. I really just prefer smaller worlds and narratives in media Idk.

#tvl #to be clear I liked the reverence and weirdness and fuck you of it all that was very different from the first seasons #*irreverence #what didn’t land for me were the allusions to gen Z and hyper specific slang that was popular with only very young people for two months #which includes some of the attempts at meta-commentary #And it’s hard to strike a good balance with that kind of thing so I don’t absolutely hate what they did with it either #It just wasn’t 100% my thing #which I guess is kinda unexpected when I found the previous seasons so perfect
