Sorry I keep resharing this SKELETOR painting, but I keep thinking of new ways to noticeably improve the painting, so here it is again. I painted in the details in his eye sockets and nasal cavity, repainted much of his lower jaw, and just added more detail to the face altogether. Painted with acrylic paints on an 11”x14” wood panel.

Last night, I found myself pondering how reincarnation affects Qilby. This is purely my own theory—I simply found it interesting to speculate.

Their curse lies in eternal memory: they remember everything they have ever read or seen. Now, let’s consider concepts such as muscle memory, the psyche, and personality.A new body is like a new computer: you can transfer all files and images from old device, but you still have to manually configure everything all over again.But does curse extend to their muscle memory? No matter how cool or magical that might sound, a child's brain simply wouldn't be able to contain such a vast amount of information—especially given the absence of the numerous neural connections responsible for forming habits, reflexes, and reactions.Now, regarding personality.Our personality is shaped not merely by the experiences we undergo, but by our reactions to—and perceptions of—those experiences. During his previous life, Qilby had already established his stance on the matter; that perspective had solidified and become fully internalized. But what of his next life—when he is once again a child? His psyche is once again fragile; his personality remains unformed and unhardened. Consequently, viewing all the crimes he committed through such fresh eyes would result in a completely different perception of them.

If previously Qilby felt no guilt for his actions—owing to his very personality—now, with a still-fragile consciousness, his brain must once again figure out exactly how to process his lived experience.

This is excellent fodder for torture and mental anguish:D
