basic information.
full name: eunwoo cho.
alias(es): edwin.
pronouns: he/him/his.
date of birth: november 29, 1955.
place of birth: salem, massachusetts.
age: thirty-four.

occupations: sales associate at radioshack, copy editor at the shrike times.
background.
a new englander at heart. following a job offer from the shrike times, edwin relocated from salem, massachusetts to shrike heights when he was twenty-four years old. while he was just starting off at the bottom of the ladder, edwin worked all sorts of part-time jobs to make ends meet. his resume is impressive and busy, but his passion has always been laid in writing.
after ten years, edwin has been living somewhat comfortably as the paper's copy editor. he does more than what is provided in his job description, and the bulk of his time is spent fact-checking and following up on written news reports. as a technology enthusiast ( and someone who could still use some other means of income, ) his sales associate gig at radioshack was a fond one he has yet to let go of.
trust, those employee discounts have kept him going.
simply put, edwin is kind of a know-it-all; a tiny dark cloud on a perfectly sunny day. most of his personality is shaped by an ugly marriage of his traditional upbringing ( primarily how much he hated and disagreed with it ) and his personal experiences. at his best, edwin is selfless, understanding, and makes decisions for the greater good, often acting as a voice of reason and moral compass. he loves and cares deeply, valuing his connections with others as much as his own independence.
while he is generally a no-nonsense kind of guy, he likes to indulge in pleasures that, however simple and juvenile, please his inner child.
wanted connections.
platonic, romantic, negative, past — open to all! i'd love to explore all sorts of dynamics and see how everyone's character can fit into his life.
" there's no way you're reading excalibur right now , " consumed by his interest , a greeting such as ' hello ' was long forgotten . " i've never just come across someone reading it . i mean , i know that it's still relatively new in the grand scheme of things , but that i'm also obviously not the only person who has read it , " he paused to take a breath and let out a small chuckle . " but that's such a great issue , and such a great coincidence . you've just caught me off guard by reading it . " dodge wasn't yet able to give much context for is excitement because of his excitement . " sorry , " he chuckled again . he certainly hadn't seen this coming when he left stitch by stitch to stretch his legs and rest his overworked hands . " i've just been reading a lot with nightcrawler in it , and this edition has me super excited to see where they're gonna take the excalibur crew next . " dodge was trying to keep his cool , keep his composure , but he was itching to take out his notebook to show edwin just how into nightcrawler and the excalibur story he had been lately .
while dodge's enthusiasm initially catches him off guard, it is not unwelcome. he humors it with half of a chuckle, politely closing his magazine to tend to the conversation. he related to that fervor, but it wouldn't dare manifest as overtly as the others. edwin isn't proud of admitting it, but the stigma of being a so-called 'nerd' still catches up to him, and it shows in the way he responds—wryly, as though unrehearsed. truly, he's never been approached so candidly before. "yeah! i just picked up this bad boy up two days ago," edwin muses as he tries for a smile, lifting up the copy in question. "you know, i really like nightcrawler. he's gotta be my favorite in the crew."

Spring was in full swing, and Noah was glad not to have to wear layers of coats and jackets to protect against the icy chill of winter anymore. But that also meant that he was back at the mall. He was working a little extra around spring break because he could use the extra money after all the time he'd spent on hiatus from working after the last attack. So it was during one of his breaks when things were a little slow at the mall that he happened to wander into Radioshack to see if Edwin was working. When he saw the other, Noah made his way to the counter, leaning in and smiling.
"Ed. Eddie. Edman," Noah said, leaning on the counter and batting his lashes. "So… School's almost out and I need your help. I'm probably gonna try to get a summer job. I was originally thinking about trying to go for like... a skating instructor part-time at Donna's, but the more I think about it, the more I kinda want to see about getting my foot in the door as like a junior photographer or something at one of the local publications," he said. "Is it against the law to bribe someone with Taco Bell or a ten to put in a good word?" he asked, quietly slapping a crisp, ten dollar bill on the counter. That was like FOUR Taco Bell lunches! "I've been working on my portfolio big time, so it's not like I wouldn't have something to bring to the table you know? But you know people. More people than I do at least," he said, giving him an almost puppy dog stare. PLEASE HELP!
as soon as edwin saw that mischievous face nearing him, he knew it couldn't have been good. but in somewhat good faith, he leans over on his side of the counter, giving him one nuclear grade don't get ahead of yourself look while he hears him out. the expression only sets itself deeper when he notices the ten dollar bill in his peripheral vision, tongue rolling inside of his cheek in consideration. granted, edwin did enjoy taco bell, but his morals...
as tempting as it was, they wouldn't quite check out at the door.
"i already got you an internship with our paper," he mumbles in mild irritation, more to himself than anything. but edwin knew his conscience would not leave the other hanging, his shoulders lifting with the intensity of his defeated sigh. "okay. yeah, i can do it. i'll see what i can do. just—" a hand reaches out to palm the ten dollar bill across the counter toward noah. "—don't bribe me. i'm not taking money from you."

TJ stepped out of his car in the drive-in lot of the Sunrise Theatre, his bright smile beaming out from under his baseball cap. He was dressed in his favorite pastel pink polo shirt, tucked into a pair of jeans. As he made his way to the concessions stand, he greeted a few of the familiar faces he passed, stopping to make small talk. He ordered his go-to – large popcorn, extra butter, and a cherry Coke – before fishing out a wad of bills from his pocket, counting out the exact change and flashing a grin when the cashier handed him his snacks.
He turned around, munching on a handful of popcorn, and grinned when he saw the person behind him in line. "Fancy seein' you here," TJ beamed. "You here for Heathers, too? I heard it's supposed to be a pretty wild ride. I mean, Christian Slater, right? He's such a badass. Can't wait to see what he does in this one." TJ took a swig of his soda, feeling a little buzz of excitement in his chest. He loved movies, loved the whole experience of it. He hoped his conversation partner was just as amped up as he was.
not wanting to hold up the line, edwin puts in his simple order of, very similarly, a large popcorn with extra butter and a regular coke before turning to indulge in conversation with tj — a familiar face from the mall. especially in a small town setting, edwin gradually came to find during his decade in shrike heights that most faces end up becoming familiar at some point. "wouldn't miss it for the world," he cheerfully volleys back, handing the cash in exact change to the clerk. "i'm a fan of christian slater. and winona's great, too, y'know—beetlejuice."
thanking the cashier as he receives his snacks, he steps out of line to start following the other out. "by the way, where are you parked?"
