Background information: Kyoufu was an experiment to see how much DNA editing and environmental factors could affect the prevalence of quirk development. The experiment took place over 1 years in international waters in the Bermuda Triangle and 7 years in a special facility on an island off the coast of Japan. Kyoufu escaped and for the next 7-8 years lived homeless in Tokyo surviving off of what he could find before finding Koki in between foster homes. Eventually both of them were adopted by Ms Joke and Midnight leading to Kyoufu taking an interest in attending UA.

By all definitions I should be correct in identifying myself as that but it’s hard to convince yourself that you are one when you stare into a mirror and anywhere from 5 to 8 eyes stare back and your face is physically melting from the heat

If I had to pick... maybe Kyoufu would be a cool first name, kinda fitting too given my outward appearance being scary

Being adopted by two moms has made me realize that I'm very vulnerable to "your mom" jokes. Even if i say "which mom though" they could just say both and that would just work...

On the other hand though, they could be so initially surprised by the fact i have two moms that they never remember to specify and i get to brag about how cool my two moms are!

No one really tells you how disorienting having multiple eyes are.

Sure I’ve gotten used to it and it sounds cool in practice but every so often a new eye sometimes just pops up on my hand, neck, or just anywhere not fully covered by clothes and the sensation alone makes me want to vomit

On the upside tho, I can’t really be snuck up on so people are right on that part being awesome and fun

Koki curled up in the bunk bed he now shared with Ophanim. It was strange sharing a bedroom with a creature like this, but he didn't mind it. He knew the other wouldn't care if his quirk leaked out a little. It was how they communicated after all.

But tonight, he had just woken up from a nightmare, and he wasn't quite sure how to handle it. He'd learned to be quiet with his troubles, but it would be nice to ask for help. Involuntarily, he sniffled, then immediately froze. It was far too loud a noise in the quiet room.

Ophanim was still awake lying in bed. He was still working on retraining their sleep schedule after having a longstanding habit of wandering around alleyways at night for so long.

He was halfway debating between whether or not to get up and find a book to read to get him to sleep faster when he heard a tiny sniffle from the bunk above. They figured it wouldn't hurt to see how Koki was doing if he was going to get up to grab something anyways.

"Having trouble sleeping?"

He didn't respond, still not ready to talk yet, and just curled in even more. The wisps of darkness from his quirk, however, had no problem asking for help. They dipped down into Ophanim's view and swirled back up, as if luring it towards Koki.

Welp, that was a sign if anything, Koki's quirk much like Ophanim's physical form always was a tell in some way if something was up. So, Ophanim climbed up to Koki's bunk.

"I can stay up here with you as long as you need and when you're all good just lemme know and I'll can head back down 👍"

He uncurled enough to look at them, unshed tears shimmering in his eyes. The company was nice, surely the bad things from his nightmare can't get to him if he's protected like this. Still, he wanted just a little bit more. He rested his hand, palm facing up, in the space on the bed between them. Not quite asking for help, but reaching out nonetheless.

Ophanim noticed the arm outstretched, "Okay, I can get closer... one second"

He scooted closer and put one of his arms around Koki, "Better?"

How to describe it.... If I had to pinpoint another feeling similar to it, its like the first few days of wearing new shoes. Its like so noticeable but i assume with time you kind of just... get used to it I guess?

I'm just gonna assume that normal people anatomy is just weird like that
