This show was requested to be covered by us, andddd here it is! This picture which I keep in my meme vault is very very fitting.

Let’s begin with this GORGEOUS specimen! Fun fact, this horse is only really visible in this scene; when I tried to look for it later on I couldn’t see it anymore.

They’re very nice to horse-watchers like me because they give us an entire tour of the house right in the beginning.

Thank you, I definitely won’t miss anything in this house now.

Oh hey, look at that, I missed this HUGE LAMP in the living room. Yes it’s a huge obnoxious horse lamp but don’t be fooled, this isn’t OUR huge beloved horse lamp.

Day also keeps a horse in his- HEY! HEY LOOK AT THE HORSE! DONT YOU GET DISTRACTED NOW! LOOK AT THE HORSE!

On this episode of “Does that QL have a horse?”: Love Sea

I fully expected Love Sea to be one of our no horse shows, but I was pleasantly surprised.

We start off with this picture of Vi on horseback. Stunning! Both her and the horse.

Our second horse is also found in Vi's apartment because apparently she's a horse lesbian. Unsurprising, actually.

We see no horses for a while and I thought we were done, but then we see Mut's room in Rak's apartment from a different angle and find our third horse on this shelf.

Next up we have this golden horse in the cafe Mahasamut and Meena go to.

Our fifth horse we find in the house of Rak's dad.

The last horse is located on this board in Rak's office. I was eyeing it for the longest time but it was always either too blurry or far away. We only get to see it properly in episode 10.

And that's all. Love Sea has a total of 6 horses. That's 0.54 horses per episode (HPE) and 0.0087 horses per minute (HPM). Very demure.

But truthfully, who needs horses when you can ride Mahasamut instead- I mean what.

On this episode of “Does that QL have a horse?”: Chains of Heart

It was this admin's God given right to eventually cover the horse count in this show because they've been in a toxic relationship with it for years.

We see our first horse in this totally illegal clinic in Taipei.

Then there is one in Ken's house in Taipei, which looks pretty similar, but since they are in completely different locations let's assume it's a different one.

After that, there are two horses, carved onto this railing at the temple where Din's funeral is held. This admin tried their hardest and squinted a lot at the rest of the railing, but could not find more horses there.

And then I'm minding my own business, when the guys get into Payu's car and I see the Porsche emblem, which we already know has a horse. Why is it that whenever I pick a show to count horses, I'm always squinting at cars? It's a curse at this point.

Similarly to a Ferrari, a Porsche has emblems on the wheels. Or so this admin learned. On Payu's car we see 3/4 of those horses - one during the car crash in episode 3 and the others in episode 5. The last one remains a mystery.

In episode 5 we also see the horse emblem on the steering wheel.

But that was only the start.

When Payu crashes the car in episode 3, Khun Lue drives by in his own car. And as he steps out of the car, I realise it's another Porsche and think: "You've gotta be kidding me."

We actually see the emblems on all four wheels of this car, two in episode 3 and two in episode 8 as Din- I mean Khun Lue is crying in front of the car.

We also see the emblem on the steering wheel in episode 3.

And thankfully that's all the horses on cars. We can finally go back to our regularly scheduled horse counting.

We have not one, but two horses on this desk, one metal and the other made out of marble. They are beautiful.

We also have a female figurine with a giant ass, but that's neither here nor there.

And there is also a golden horse head on the receptionist's desk in the hotel/apartment building. To this day I still don't know what this building is and I don't think I'll ever know.

This brings us to 18 horses in Chains of Heart, which is more than I thought it would be, but this is what happens when cars get involved. Since the show has 10 episodes, that's 1.8 horses per episode (HPE). And with a runtime of around 47 minutes per episode, that amounts to 0.038 horses per minute (HPM), which is roughly one horse every 26 minutes.

When starting to watch this show I do have to admit I was flabbergasted and generally caught off guard. And I think that's understandable. But then I saw a horse and said "Fuck it I guess I am watching all 14 episodes"

Here is horse 1 in the beginning of episode two. Don't mind what's going on in the background there uhhhhhhhh (it's in the painting in case you were distracted)

Then for an AWFULLY long time there were no horses to be found, which was obviously devastating. In the meantime, have these surprisingly woke T-shirts.

Yes King, thank you. There may not be a singular woman in this show but activism never takes a break.

This dude too, he may have done heinous things but at least he is an ally.

Back to the horses. In episode 11 they FINALLY return.

This strip club really enjoys a horse or two.

Or three.

And then, this is difficult. We have to go by assumption, because there IS a blurry projection of a chess board (as you have when you have s€x), we can't say for sure how many of the horse figures are there. Since they show a little more than half the board let's just assume there's two.

Usually in shows when there's riding involved we would be like "hehe that's technically a horse methaphorically speaking"

We cannot do that here, I lost count.

In episode 6 38:00 there is also a horse sound when they... nvm don't worry about it.

@greenlampsightings I am not sure if you have covered this show, but I am currently watching Playboyy and have seen the green lamp at least 5 times in different locations each time, I felt like I was going insane.

Important mention up front, this show DOES film in one of the horse lamp locations, however we never get to see the horse lamp in the show. But know that it’s there in spirit.

We start off strong in the first episode Armin gets cheated on by his boyfriend and a horse is there to watch it all, obviously.

It seems that horses in this show first stay wherever they can find evil energy, because this horse in Tada’s brother’s desk in EP 3.

Then the all mighty chess board that gets shown three times throughout the show even though NO ONE plays chess. WHAT IS THE POINT OF IT THEN.

As you all know, horses are a love language too, which is why Tada casually gifts him a Ferrari for his birthday. So we have to count the two horses on the logos.

If you’ve read our Love In the Air thread you might know that Ferraris have AT LEAST seven horses: one on each wheel, one in the front, one in the back, and one on the steering wheel. Though in this show we only see the one in front.

And finally, two blurry horses behind Tada in episode 7.

That brings us to 11 horses in Reset the Series.

That’s 1,1 HPE (Horse per Episode) and 0,0154 HPM (horses per minute)

Does this QL have a horse - SPECIAL EDITION - GMMTV 2026 Outing

This entire thing was horse themed as we found out, so we HAVE to talk about it, there is no other way. Unfortunately we can’t use any of the metrics we usually use, and we have no sure way of knowing that there weren’t EVEN MORE horses.

Firstly, the theme and the teams. The theme was horse themed, and so were the different teams!

Of course, to reflect that, they had multiple banners with the horses reflecting those teams.

The one behind the stage had every team represented one time - so four horses!

And then THIS HUGE BANNER. It is absolutely impossible to find a picture of it showing the entire thing BUT after seeing the left end of it on one video we can calculate it. There should be 6 x 9 horses from the left side to the middle - assuming the banner is symetrical double that. And then minus the part covered by the logo we should have 98 horses.

The horse fun doesn’t end there, in fact it never ends. But this one really takes the cake (literally) Lego went AS A HORSE. A SEXY HORSE. No wonder he won the costume contest 🐴✨if I was a horse and I walked into a bar I would want to buy him a sugar cube

Thanks to Bonnie we also know they played a horse game where the couples literally became horses, so if we count that we can for sure say EmiBonnie, JanJingjing and JuneMewnich are 3 more horses. (We aren’t sure about other contestants)

We might have to add onto this thread if we find more, but for now the GMMTV outing has 109 horses. And that’s just physical ones, we don’t wanna know how much the word „horse“ was said during that night. To be sure, they would’ve had to invite us.

Does this QL have a horse? - Love Upon a Time

The entirety of the HorseInTheShadows admins went into this show expecting there to be horses upon horses upon horses. I, the mysterious admin writing this, was no different. I was prepared to call this show Horse upon a time.

And I had every reason to think so, the signs were everywhere!

For example in NetJJLatteKim’s Vlog in Khao Yai - THERE WAS A HORSE!!! An omen - you’d think.

Even during their promotions of the show where they filmed a small variety show called Case Upon a time, horses were mentioned five times!!

First during this guessing game where Net did a fabulous job drawing a horse and JJ performed a miracle by actually guessing it correctly.

Then this hint that Kim received - that is NOT a horse but he did say the word horse, twice. So that counts, it really does.

Who cares if it’s a donkey if Kim says it’s a horse then it’s a horse - just look at how pretty he looks saying it. But I digress.

Point being: every sign was pointing toward the show having a BUNCH of horses, the promo as well as the show being a historical drama, it would all make sense. And yet…

We’ve watched episode upon episode and there was no sign of a horse. The weeks passed and we were left with no horse to keep us company.

Why god, why? We asked.

And not only that, out of desperation I dove deep into research in hopes it would answer my questions.

Did they just not really have horses in Thailand? I asked. They did - they even have a native breed called the Thai pony which is thought to come from Mongolian breeds.

What about in Ayutthaya, did they not have horses there? I asked, once more. They did. (And yes during the time that Nakun would have traveled to) In the Ayutthaya era, horses were used for processions and war. There were quite a few horse stables spread over the city, most of them in the vicinity of the three main palaces. They mainly came as gifts and tributes - historical texts say that they were not particularly good at breeding or handling the animals during that time though. Here a sketch of the stables for the royal horses.

There is even a MAJOR tourist attraction and huge monument - the King Naresuan monument, one of Ayutthaya’s most important historical figures, who asserted Siamese independence against the Burmese.

Okay I am so sorry the history lesson is over. You should understand now that that the lack of horses is highly confusing. I even looked through the digital galleries of local museums to see if I could find horses on any of the artifacts and I couldn’t.

The closest thing we get to a horse from episode 1 - 11 is this:

I am not saying the bowl looks like a horse, I’m saying if you squint it looks like a seahorse so that has to count for something…

Everything changed though when I saw the preview for the last episode - A HOTEL!!! WE ALL KNOW HOTELS LOVE HORSES!! HOPE WASNT LOST!

IN EVERY QL THEY THAT YOU CAN THINK OF THAT HAS A HOTEL THERES HORSES!!

Well yeah except for this one. 💔

There is riding in that episode, but there is no horse, only the metaphorical one. (Net)

That makes it official - Love Upon a Time has no horse. Who in DMD do I file a complaint to?
