On this episode of “Does that QL have a horse?”: Chains of Heart
It was this admin's God given right to eventually cover the horse count in this show because they've been in a toxic relationship with it for years.
We see our first horse in this totally illegal clinic in Taipei.
Then there is one in Ken's house in Taipei, which looks pretty similar, but since they are in completely different locations let's assume it's a different one.
After that, there are two horses, carved onto this railing at the temple where Din's funeral is held. This admin tried their hardest and squinted a lot at the rest of the railing, but could not find more horses there.
And then I'm minding my own business, when the guys get into Payu's car and I see the Porsche emblem, which we already know has a horse. Why is it that whenever I pick a show to count horses, I'm always squinting at cars? It's a curse at this point.
Similarly to a Ferrari, a Porsche has emblems on the wheels. Or so this admin learned. On Payu's car we see 3/4 of those horses - one during the car crash in episode 3 and the others in episode 5. The last one remains a mystery.
In episode 5 we also see the horse emblem on the steering wheel.
But that was only the start.
When Payu crashes the car in episode 3, Khun Lue drives by in his own car. And as he steps out of the car, I realise it's another Porsche and think: "You've gotta be kidding me."
We actually see the emblems on all four wheels of this car, two in episode 3 and two in episode 8 as Din- I mean Khun Lue is crying in front of the car.
We also see the emblem on the steering wheel in episode 3.
And thankfully that's all the horses on cars. We can finally go back to our regularly scheduled horse counting.
We have not one, but two horses on this desk, one metal and the other made out of marble. They are beautiful.
We also have a female figurine with a giant ass, but that's neither here nor there.
And there is also a golden horse head on the receptionist's desk in the hotel/apartment building. To this day I still don't know what this building is and I don't think I'll ever know.
This brings us to 18 horses in Chains of Heart, which is more than I thought it would be, but this is what happens when cars get involved. Since the show has 10 episodes, that's 1.8 horses per episode (HPE). And with a runtime of around 47 minutes per episode, that amounts to 0.038 horses per minute (HPM), which is roughly one horse every 26 minutes.
