my grandmother accidentally set off her life alert and got scared by all the beeping so after she confirmed she was okay she called me because she wanted to talk about it with someone!!

she said she thought about who to call and she chose me. so im kinda sad she has no one better to call but my ego loves getting confirmation that im her favorite

getting up early for my new job sucks but it's kinda nice to go to bed so early that the sun hasn't completely set

i feel like a kid again getting in bed when its not yet dark and my bf tucks me in, smooches my forehead, and tells me to sleep tight

idk if it's worse to realize the dream isn't real after waking up or while you're still in it

told my bf i didnt want to do gifts for our anniversary this year, just wanted to go to the place we had our first date

he woke me up at midnight to tell me happy anniversary and give me a pokémon cards. i've bought an etb for every set until this year because scalpers ruined it but he managed to snag a black bolt etb for me. if i wasn't so sleepy i would have sobbed

my grandmother doesn't believe me when I tell her how long i've been with my bf or how long we've lived together because we still like each other and that just makes me sad.

i know my grandparents aren't in love after being married for over 65 years but i never thought about how young my grandmother was when she committed to life with my grandfather.

when she was my age she had already had all 3 of her kids and had to follow him to the US because thats what he wanted.
