Why are YOU complaining about a creator not wanting to write fics for female readers, despite there being other fics out there that revolve around a female reader? i think i don't really vibe with most other fans of my favorite male characters is because they usually depict them too much of a man, and i am not interested in men, i am interested in The Character. and i am not saying that they should depict them as women, or nonbinary, or should depict them as feminine, no, not at all. but there's like, you know, you can depict a male character as The Character, and you can depict them as The Man. do you get me? like, i go to the fandom looking for art and fics, and it's just, regardless of his actual characterization, it's all just fantasizing about some kind of an abstract dominant patriarch, wearing my favorite character's face. it may be the most totally-wouldnt-have-normal-relationships (and sometimes even would-literally-abuse-you) kind of guy, and you join a dedicated space for his fans, and all they talk about is how they want to marry and start a tradcore 50s style nuclear family with him. it can be a guy who's arrogance and attempts of domination are explicitly shown to be a facade that hide the fact that he's actually kind of a massive pathetic wet loser, and you go to his fics, and they're all depicting him as a caricaturish daddy dom. at this point it's like, do you even like the character at all, or do you just like The Man, and project this man onto whatever character you find visually attractive? and these people kind of, really really poison actual discussion of the character, who is kind of a fucked up evil person (i only like *those* types, so im talking about them) because they see analysis of the actual character as an attack on their fantasized daddy dom husband, who is actually isn't The Character at all, and is simply a face of the day for The Man

Saw someone on twitter talking about how she had to quit reading a k-pop bandfic because the author "made one of the characters as trans mid story", and also got mad that the character in question was a top instead of a bottom??? It didn't help that people in the replies were complaining about how the fic should've been "Boy x boy" and not "Boy x girl" (as if the character isn't actually male in the fic just because he's trans) and she was agreeing with them. People also said that they'd rather read a b*ypussy fic instead of a fic featuring a trans male character... like bro... how isn't this any different from transmisogynistic men consuming porn featuring *that weird term that starts with F* just to then claim that the existance of trans women in ANYTHING is perverse?

Thankfully others were calling her out, but I can't help but be reminded of how trans men and transmascs are treated in fanfiction communities. I'm not transmasc but it pisses me off how people in fanfictions only view them as explicit objects. People don't even like trans men in FANfiction, they just give a random male character a pussy for the sake to make him bottom and get "da epic mpreg a/b/o arc", and if you dare to claim that they could be read as not cis in some way they'll yell at you. It's okay if you don't want to read trans fics, but the back buttom exist alongside the filtering options. You don't have to be so openly trans(andro)phobic and basically imply that the trans male character was just a girl in your sight.
