"I am the Sword of God" is like easily top 10 things to declare immediately before doing something really stupid that will probably injure you

Oh boy, a complex character who's a woman! I love messy characters who hurt everyone around them and continue the cycles that hurt them!! Can't wait to share this joy with fellow fans– why's everyone calling her a bitch
unfortunately i’m cursed with being right
Would you be interested in a warhammer 40k* women appreciation week in September?
Yes!
No.
* minus Rogue Trader and, if applicable, Dark Heresy owlcat games, because we already ran @rtwomenweek
OCs and canon characters from the lore, novels and other video games would be included
Trazyn the Infinite vs Rogue Trader von Valancius.
A conflict also known as - dynastic kleptomaniac vs dynastic kleptomaniac.
A thief off, if you will.
Tired and no artwork. But i have memes sooo
1 heretic after recent patches. She has some interesting opinions and projects.
4 difficulty stars are due to Kris being unstable and crpg protag. It is hard to romance a lady who can randomly disappear for a couple of years. She is a an overstressed danger magnet. She can be difficult.
Addition from my bf: It’s funny how Nazariy is actually far from a perfect fit. He’s kind of an asshole, despite the golden heart buried underneath survival mode.
He’s not very ambitious, as he hardly ever believed for anything good coming his way to be realistic.
He’s not rich either, as his income most of the times came directly from being on Kristina’s payroll. Other than that, he’s probably only made the rest of his money, being dynasty’s Flight Marshal, from providing logistical support (and probably fighter escort, when needed) to Danrok’s “endeavors” and taking a cut in return. (Does it sound corrupt? Probably, but let’s face it, even Lord Captain herself looks the other way, because when Danrok takes 4 PF, brings back 6 and steals 1, it’s not embezzlement, it’s salary bonus for efficiency.)
He’s mostly about as “scary” as his aura allows him to be.
He’s not very awkward either. You could shave with that tongue of his.
He’s only jealous within healthy/natural bounds, nothing special. (Kris used to date a man who was NEVER jealous because he didn't even value her. She was replacable. So Kris is flattered by jealousy).
And he’s probably not making that much to impress a fucking Rogue Trader with gifts. Definitely won’t afford cool enough jewellery with side gigs alone, without taking money out of those Kristina’s paying him, which, in turn, sounds kinda stupid. Custom cool weapons and gear? Probably same problem. Blood of enemies? Come on, that’s Kibella’s shtick. He’s no poet. Love letters? Maybe. Not a very Nazariy thing to do, but just maybe. Flowers? The only realistic gift from him. He knows. After all, he’s not just from the same planet, he’s from the same city. Won’t be just bouquettes, either. Cool potted plants - now that’s how you impress a Vostroyan.
Other than that, he can barely offer much more than quality time. How many guys out there can take you on a joyflight? He can.
I don’t like getting bogged down in ages and dates, ESPECIALLY in a universe like wh40k, which loves to get tangled up in its own chronology and then make excuses with warp and other nonsense.
HOT TAKE MY OPINION HOT TAKE
I’m not particularly keen on the whole ‘I can fix him/her’ thing. I suppose Kibellah's romance put me off it. You know, grown adults don’t need fixing. I don’t like stories of that sort. Don’t go fixing what isn’t broken, and love won’t fix what is.
On the other hand, the corruption arcs are hot… but this story isn’t about those two.
Tsiolkovsky was officially smitten by Kristina’s striking looks, but I’m sure no one here is judging him for it. First impressions are important. As for Kris, it just took her years and four acts of the story to figure her feelings out.
The problematic stuff in their relationship lies in several things
The difference in social status. ‘Is love possible where there is a place for orders?’ It’s a bit like the story of Jae and RT. All the power lies in Kristina’s hands. And although Tsiolkovsky shows with every action, every bit of irony and every joke just how little he gives a damn, that’s a fact.
Suitors have always been swarming around Kristina. Nazariy, with his curse, was very lucky that Kristina took any notice of him at all.
Tsiolkovsky’s joking deserves a toxicity warning.
They prefer not to make a big show of their relationship in public, but everyone already knows about it anyway.
The ‘Weapon’ and ‘Wielder’ dynamic is an interesting one. Objectively, the power lies with Kristina, but she doesn’t abuse it. As for Nazariy, just try forcing him to do something he disapproves of – he’s independent in that regard.
Well. DLC 3 spoiler ahead. Do not read further. Trazyn wants RT for the collection, once they achieve something great? Too bad Kristina retires early, as soon as her daughter is of age. By the time it happen, she is already a tired woman with crippling ptsd. She has a loyal husband who supports her no matter what, so why not?
Plus it gives her a funny arc. It started with ascaping from political marriage. It ends with wedding bells and all the time this cruel universe has to offer.
This is how she escapes being an exhibit. Quietly leaving the stage.
