i drink and i know i can’t handle it. my head’ll hurt tomorrow, i’ll throw up, maybe get the shits. i still drink. i’ll be pissed i spent all that money, my feet’ll be sore from walkin bar to bar. i still drink. and it ain’t enough cause gettin that drunk makes me wanna get high. so i do. and i drink. even though i know i can’t remember much these days, im forgetting somethin. these days all bleed the same color. still, i drink. and i get high, even though i can feel the smoke burnin my lungs black. squeezing my chest tight. rippin my throat raw from the cough. “the itching reminds you you’re alive.” so. i drink. and it ain’t enough cause now i wanna get high, too.
