"Hey Babe I---" Haven stopped dead in her tracks. Why the hell was she given a key to his apartment again? Sitting there on the couch naked as ever was Tristan and some two bit trash she was sure she'd seen trying to work the strip. Without another word she threw down the food she'd brought in and walked away. "Baby baby come back!" She could hear him say and she could hear his feet coming her way and somewhere in all of that she heard an ow. She was assuming he dropped her on her ass when it should have been her damn head. "No." She turned around just as he made it to her. "You want a two bit bitch then you can have her. I'm done." She turned to leave when he grabbed her. He pulled her against him and he moved his arms around her waist. "Just stay.. We can work this out." His words were like salt in a wound that wouldn't heal. She moved to pull away and he tightened his grip on her.
"Let me go." she seethed. She wasn't in the mood to play around. She wanted him as far away from her as possible. She didn't dare pull out her phone to call Wyatt. She knew better. He'd break the phone and she'd have to replace it. She wanted an upgrade but she didn't want to deal with him breaking her iPhone. She just let it be. "Don't be like that baby. You know she doesn't mean anything to me." She could smell the alcohol on his breath and it made her want to vomit. She hated when he did this but it was out of her control. She could feel him try to leave kisses down her neck but she wasn't having it. She lifted her right leg and counted to three silently before kicking back. When she heard him groan and let go of her she turned around and pushed him to the ground. "Get off me means get the fuck off me!" she told him before heading for the door.
She heard shuffling and then she heard his voice. "I wouldn't leave if I were you." Now she wasn't about to turn around to find out why. She had a feeling whatever it was wouldn't end up well for him. She was at the door with her hand on it. She moved to open it and then she heard it. The cock of a gun. She knew he had one, or at least that he'd talked about it but she'd never seen it. Slowly she turned around. “How much pain do you have to go through before giving up is okay?” She paused. "Better question. How much pain do you have to put me through before you stop?" she asked curiously. She was now staring down the barrel of a gun and she was terrified but she was still more hurt than anything. "Look. Tris. Stop. Isn't this enough?" she asked. "I get it. You love me. At least you say you do. If you truly loved me and wanted to be with me then you wouldn't be here with that street trash." she pointed out.
She had her hands up so that he wouldn't shoot her hopefully. "Put the gun down." she pleaded. It was now more than ever she wished she could just call Wyatt but she knew she couldn't pull her phone out or she'd lose it. She could see the gun was wavering so she took a couple of steps away from the door. "Look. I'm not leaving." she told him. She wasn't lying yet. She wasn't leaving in that moment. She just wanted him to put the gun down so she could focus on other things. She felt like calling her brother would be the way to go but she had to make sure she could safely call him first. She saw the street trash watching from a corner so he wouldn't turn the gun on him and it took everything in her to not grab the gun and turn it on both of them. She knew as bad as she wanted to that she didn't want to lose her career or her life over one stupid moment.
When she felt she was far enough away from the door she stopped. She was watching the street rat out of the corner of her eye but she was mostly watching him. "No! You can't go at all. We have to work this out!" She could see the tears as they fell but it didn't mean anything to her at this point. She didn't know if he was on drugs or what but she knew he was off. Closing her eyes she allowed herself to feel the break. She could feel the tears as they fell down her cheeks. She could feel everything and it hurt like hell but she wanted all of this over even though she didn't know in that moment that it wouldn't be. She was just hoping it would be. For a few minutes Haven Rae lost herself as she sank down to the floor hoping he wouldn't shoot her.
Haven lay in his bed just watching him. It had been a whirlwind of a night and now here they were and she was very slowly coming down off of the high of it all. Performing was something else. Then there was the party. Thinking back to the pill bowl she didn't even know what she grabbed but he was there holding onto her. "Remember baby. The high will be worth it. I'm right fuckin' here." He was right. It was worth it but she was bouncing off the walls one second and damn near screaming the next. By the time it was over she'd cried and laughed and even damn near fell to her death. What a rush! He'd fallen out of it and part of her wanted to wake him up to go again but she couldn't bring herself to do it. No matter what she knew there was going to be another time and she couldn't wait. He'd opened her eyes to a whole new world and though they'd been together for nearly eight months at this point he'd eased her in. She had to admit that he was right. Why ease when full throttling worked best.
When she couldn't stand it anymore she got up and headed out of the room. She knew the pill bowl was out there somewhere but instead of finding that she ended up finding a full bottle of vodka. She thought about downing that when she was grabbed. The guy who grabbed her tried to pull her to another room. After giving him a dose of her own version of medicine she gave up and made her way back to the bedroom. She shut and locked the door. That asshole could definitely fuck off. She climbed back into the bed with him and she moved him slightly so she could make herself comfortable. It didn't take long for her to fall asleep even though she was scared that asshat would try to enter the room with them. He didn't seem to be the type to give up to easily. It wasn't like she gave him much of a choice though was it? Waking up hours later she was on her own. She slowly got up and put more clothes on. She heard two voices. She peeked out to find Tristan and one of the drug sluts on the floor. She called Wyatt to get out of there and she grabbed her shit while she waited.
Haven opened her eyes to see him still holding the gun but now it wasn't pointed at her. He was a crying mess so very quietly she moved towards the door. When she got close enough she stood up and slowly put a hand on it. Haven moved it slowly. He was so lost in whatever mess he was he didn't notice. She was thankful. She got out of the room and down the elevator quickly. While in the Elevator she called Wyatt. She got his voicemail. "Damn it. Wy. I need you. I'm heading over to your place now. I'll be waiting. Don't call me back just show the fuck up!" she hung up and walked out and got a cab out of there as quick as possible. The ride wasn't far but that didn't matter to her. She just wanted to get to safety as quick as possible and before Tristan got to her. That was what mattered to her.
Paying the cab driver she got out and ran inside. She was known so getting to Wyatt and Huntleigh's place wasn't hard ands he didn't have to go through hell and a hand basket to do so which she was thankful for. She walked in and saw how quiet it was which meant everyone was out. She made damn sure she was locked in and she got herself a bottle of water. When she looked down at her hands they were shaking but there wasn't much she could do about that. She knew that much so she'd have to deal for now. It didn't take long before she heard voices. She put on a smile and tried to hide the bit of shaking she was still doing. Once she spotted Huntleigh and Wyatt she walked over to them. "Hey Hunt come here." she smiled a little. She pulled Huntleigh aside. "I need to talk to Wyatt but I'm preparing you first. I need to tell him what happened today and it's not good." she sighed. "We're probably going to need bail money." she warned her sister-in-law.
After that warning she walked up to Wyatt. "We need to talk in your room now." She pulled him back to the room he shared with Huntleigh and she shut the door. "This is necessary." she locked them in. "I love you but I need to talk to you." she sat down. She was bruised from how hard she was grabbed but she wasn't sure it was showing yet so she just had to tell him. "Went to Tristan's to surprise him with food. Walk in to see him on the damn couch with a piece of street trash." she sighed. "He got his food. I tossed it on the floor. If he wants to eat it he can. I don't give a fuck." she started mostly for context. "He put his hands on me and I'm sure I'm going to bruise from it." she started. "And I don't mean he hit me although I'm sure he thought about it." she added quickly. "Before you go all big brother and protective let me finish so you know everything."
"After I saw him and threw the food he chased me to the door begging me to stay. He was promising me she didn't mean a damn thing. Telling me we could work it out." she shook her head. "Look. I caught him red fucking handed. I'm done. He said it was because he couldn't find me but the truth is he has my number. Well he did because tomorrow I'm changing it." she sighed. "After I kicked him and tried to leave he pulled a gun out so I had to talk his ass down just so I could get out of there. If I would have tried to call you he would have broken my phone and I wouldn't have gotten out. Before you ask." she sighed. "For now I'm here and I'm safe. I do have a favor to ask. Can I crash here for a few days or something. I know he's going to be hanging around mine and I'm not in the mood." she shook her head. She hated telling him all of this but if he didn't hear it from her he'd hear it somewhere else and he'd get mad at her and she didn't want that.
She sighed. "I hate asking. You know I do but damn it. I just need at least a few days of peace. Long enough to file a restraining order and shit like that so I can at least try to protect myself." she looked down. She didn't want to admit that she was actually scared that he may actually use that gun or any gun at all on her. She didn't like the fact that she lived alone right then either. Typically she didn't care but she never felt like her life was in this amount of danger and that kind of scared her not that she'd fully outright admit that but it did. "If not it's cool. I just wanted to ask." she sighed. "Look. I know you want to go be with your family so go. I've got a rehearsal to get to but I didn't want you finding out some other way." she smiled a little and walked to the door and opened it after unlocking it. "Love you bro." she walked out of the bedroom and waved bye to Huntleigh before heading out.
