[If anyone knows the artist let me know so I can give credit]
I am so dependent on affection as my bread of life that my own existence does not make any sense to me when I’m alone.
INFP thoughts (via infpcafe)
when something awful happens but you’re dissociating:
Le me being paradoxal
Me: Is afraid Depakote is gonna make him gain weight Also me: Drinks lots and lots of Coke all the time, has too much alcohol and eats chips
How to tell that it's getting bad again:
- I sleep to much or not at all -I eat too much or too little -I sound disinterested in everything -Be spaced out a lot - I will ramble a lot or not talk at all -I lose track of time - I make cynical comments, usually about myself -I push people away -I tend to rub my eyes and head a lot -I avoid eye contact -I am always shakey -I will avoid certain conversations
me: man i don't feel depressed at all these days!
also me: never showers, hasn't cleaned my room in seven months, hardly remembers to brush my teeth, never talks to anyone, never leaves my room, can't focus on a book for more than two minutes
me: i am Cured
'Drinking alcohol, doing drugs, and staying up all night isn't going to help your mania'
My current hypo/manic struggle:
Me: Food? Food??! My body does not need this for it runs on SHEER ADRENALINE. I am amazing and cannot be touched so SCREW FOOD!!!
Also me: Oh my GOD I am so hungry. I could eat this whole freaking house. Whose gonna stop me? No one can TOUCH me *shoves a whole croissant in my mouth* I'm ravished and will consume
E v e r y t h i n g
REPEAT AFTER ME:
mental illnesses ARE NOT a fashion trend
mental illnesses SHOULD NOT be romanticised
people SHOULD NOT LIE about having mental illnesses just to seem “deep” or “interesting” or “edgy
mental illnesses SHOULD be taken seriously
IT IS A REAL PROBLEM THAT AFFECTS MILLIONS OF PEOPLE AND IS NOT “QUIRKY” IT IS AN ILLNESS THAT AFFECTS THE MIND AND HOW YOU FUNCTION ON A DAILY BASIS
if mental illness was a competition, i’d be too depressed to fetch my medal
Just because a characteristic of BPD is unstable relationships, doesn’t mean we’re abusive or are going to hurt you or fuck you up
Sometimes the other person in the relationship doesn’t even know it’s unstable. The instability of the relationship is determined by how distressing it is to the borderline
Do you ever just remember the minor trauma you had in your past and it just makes you disconnect from your body a little bit and you feel stupid that it still affects you???
