Sometimes you gotta walk... Sometimes you gotta RUN. Ever been stood in the middle of that elusive fork in the road? You know the one you hear about in all the myths, rhymes and riddles. The one that is meant to act as a guiding light, a direction and is to reflect an impending decision that is vital to the future happiness and life you are destined to live. It's always painted in a beautiful light, with a sunset in the back round, beautiful woods surrounding and with a clear, pronounced and well manicured track that is pulling you in, closer, almost begging to be walked on. And although this same path is often captioned as the "road less travelled by" it still appears inviting, warm and lending a sense of comfort and hope. But, in the reality of an equestrians "fork in the road" more often than not, this is not an accurate representation of either side of the fork, or either decision to be made. In fact, If we were indeed to be honest with how this road would be depicted some would say that it would be muddy and dishevelled. There would be no well manicured path, but a narrow winding track, with many visible obstacles and diversions. There would be pot holes, and branches, thistles and weeds and there would be no real sunset, more likely just a shitty light in the very distant future. And on top of this, you would be charged to use this path... The path that an equestrian follows is more often than not the "road less travelled by" but also can appear to be the somewhat harder, more challenging and disruptive path. More risk, more danger, more sacrifice, more pain, more loss.. But ultimately... More Gain. Don't be deterred by lack of encouragement from your surrounding peers, don't be scared of the challenges that are brought to your attention, for these challenges were not made for everyone to overcome. Do not fear the pain or sacrifice for you are stronger than those who choose to succumb to it. And most importantly do not fear the judgement. The ridicule. The lack of understanding. You were not put on this earth to explain yourself, to justify your wants, needs and passions. You were put here to ride, and no one can stop you. #houseofhorse
