I found L.A.-based pop artist Trevor Wayne on Instagram and decided to direct and edit this profile piece about him and focusing on his ironically comical series he calls Horror Banana.

Just found this cool piece I helped work on for my old show Back|Story on CNN International. Then, CNN Senior White House Correspondent Ed Henry talked about big changes happening in the White House Press Room. It's a really cool and quite rare behind the scenes look.

Here's a segment I put together for CNN. Danny Zuker, Executive Producer and Writer for ABC's hit show Modern Family talks about the process of writing jokes and how twitter has changed comedy writing.

I produced this interview with the incredibly talented Alison Krauss. She has won a record-setting 27 Grammys! And has been with her band for decades. I was surprised to hear who one of her favorite new singers is. Check out the interview to find out. I've listened to her music for years, so this was a special treat for me to be able to put together.

Here's a segment I came across in my archives. I came up with the idea after seeing a story about signed Michael Jackson memorabilia going on sale on ebay at a high rate, after his death. We wanted to get the story on the air that day because it was so interesting so I had to get creative because our guest was not near a studio where we could pull him up on camera. I decided to just produce it from our host's desk, him chatting on the phone with Joe Orlando of PSA DNA, an organization that holds its expertise in celebrity signatures.
Joe sent us some great photos examples of the King of Pop's signature over the years by email, so I put those into the interview. It came out well and was a nice change of pace from the regular format we followed on our show.

Here's a piece I shot on my Canon 5D and produced for CNN International and CNN USA.
American volunteer, Ian Pounds, went to live in Afghanistan to help the AFCECO Organization which is trying to make a difference for the nearly 2 million orphans that live in Afghanistan. He and a group of orphans came from Kabul to the U.S. to drive across the country as part of a cultural exchange and to raise awareness and money for AFCECO.
Find my whole post on the story and the project HERE on the CNN International blog for the show Back|Story.

Above You'll See A Segment I produced for CNN International's Back|Story about life in the favela Rocinha in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
We Wanted To Juxtapose the alarming news of the day stories from the favelas with another perspective. This other view is from Paul Sneed, an American who has lived and worked in Rocinha for years. Paul is a founding member of Two Brothers which is a non-governmental organization (NGO) that works to connect expert volunteers in different fields from around the world with the youth of the neighborhood there in Rio in order to promote education.
A Favela Is an ad hoc type of community built at its inception because of a lack of resources and recognition by the establishment, but Rocinha is surprising. There are businessmen, generations of residents, athletes and many other people living very mainstream ways of life. Their lives are woven into this fascinating type of community along with a darker side. Citizens walk the streets nonchalantly passing armed guards who work for drug factions and their dealers.
Take A Look at the two parts of the segment and maybe you'll be encouraged to travel to Rocinha and see the place for yourself.

The Beginning
I went to Kansas City in August of 2009 because historian Cydney Millstein said I had to come and see an incredible piece of history. By the looks of it, there really is nothing to the old building that once was Laugh-O-Gram studios. It is Walt Disney's first animation studio and the place where Mickey Mouse was created. But the story behind it and the realization that it was left to fall apart is as stark as its crumbling bricks.
The Year+ That Followed
I came back home with the material we shot knowing I had a real treat for history buffs and nostalgic entertainment lovers alike.
For over a year I have been working on trying to get this piece together.
As you know, 2011 brought many incredible news events with huge global impacts, so a historical entertainment story wasn't a priority and for good reason.
Walt Disney's 110th Birthday
In the end it all worked out just right because Walt Disney's 110th birthday was today and it was the perfect time to release this piece.
So without further ado I present to you (above) the story of how Thank You Walt Disney is working to revive an incredibly important part of entertainment history in Kansas City, Missouri.
And if you want to know more about Architectural Historian and Preservationist Cydney Millstein please visit her website.
Take your pictures now - focus later.
A piece I wrote and produced about the Lytro camera. A device that a team at Stanford University developed for the consumer market. It allows you to worry about focusing your pictures later on your computer.
Segment I wrote and produced for CNN International on covering the G-20 Summit of Leaders in Cannes, France - and having all the attention instead focus on Greece's debt crisis.
We won!
I knew that my show Back|Story on CNN International would partner well with a brand. After months of brainstorming sessions about our show we found a superb opportunity to work with luxury watchmaker Jaeger-LeCoultre.
It was so exciting. Many weeks followed full of incredible stories revealing an intriguing side to history, games and interactions with our viewers on social media and on our blog. I consistently enjoyed the process being the Digital Media Producer on the project and mixing our digital world, through the advertising partnership, with our television show on CNN International.
And we won! M&M Network Global Marketers honored my project, show and Jaeger-LeCoultre with 2011's best Innovative Cross-Platform and Social Media Campaign in the Luxury Marketing section.
