context: i am well aware of the lifetime you can expect from a phone and the slow slide of deterioration, but specifically in the last 6 months, spotify has become almost unusable (it takes 10 to 15 seconds to load a playlist that I have locally saved) but android overall is beginning to hang as well with dramatic battery drain that's reduced the time-to-charge from a day and a half to needing a top-up to even reach the end of the day. it's the worst with spotify but is happening system-wide, so I suspect an android update did something.

curiously, this is happening on my phone but not my Odin 2 Portal, which is as snappy as ever.
