Today, Howard University’s WHUR 96.3 FM and Capital Area Food Bank will sponsor Food2Feed, an annual food drive that collects non-perishable food items and monetary donations to benefit needy families in the Washington Me

tropolitan area. One hundred percent of the proceeds from Food2Feed will be donated to Capital Area Food Bank and Shabach Ministries to ensure that families who may not otherwise be able to afford a meal on Thanksgiving can enjoy a healthy dinner with their families. Last year’s campaign raised more than $90,000 and collected five tons of non-perishable food. Please join us in supporting this great cause by giving a little so that others may have enough as well. Election Watch Party

The Howard University community is invited to attend the 2012 Election Watch Party from 8:30 p.m. to midnight Tuesday, Nov. 6, in the ballroom of the Blackburn Center. Come watch the results of the 2012 U.S. Presidential Race on election night. The event is sponsored by a number of student organizations, including the Howard University NAACP College Chapter, the Howard University Student Association and the Political Science Society.

  Howard’s journalism and multi-media students will also provide up-to-the-minute election coverage via HUNewsService.com and @hunewsservice on Twitter.
